Review: TCBY English Toffee Crunch Frozen Yogurt
I admit that I don't have a lot of memories of TCBY and its yogurt shops. There was one in the rich person mall in the 1980s, but that location closed and then they disappeared for the longest time here in the Indianapolis area (at least according to my memory). With the recent frozen yogurt craze that is taking over America, there's been a location or two pop up here locally, but they haven't taken over like some of the other chains have done. One thing TCBY has done that the other chains have not done is introduce a grocery line of product and as I was meandering through Walmart recently looking for some dessert after my stop in the deli, I saw a pint of one of TCBY's new frozen yogurt grocery products with this TCBY English Toffee Crunch Frozen Yogurt that I picked up for $2.98. As with all pints, it contains four half-cup servings and each serving is a semi-economical 150 calories per serving.

Review: Muller Greek Corner Lowfat Yogurt with Caramelized Almonds
So Kroger's really been pushing the new release (in their stores) of Muller yogurt recently and I'm guessing that there's a reason. Being that Muller is a Quaker product, I'm guessing Quaker is giving them a bit of a discount on their plethora of normal Quaker products so that they'll clear some shelf space in the refrigerator case for these Muller products so that they can get the public hooked on them. Not a bad business strategy for both Kroger and Muller and if that's what they are doing, then I admire it. If not, what the heck are they thinking by not doing it?! So, that increased focus has led me to continue to review these Muller products and that leads me to this Muller Greek Corner Lowfat Yogurt with Caramelized Almonds. It's the Greek version of the normal Corner line of yogurts. As with the rest of these that I purchased, it for $1.00 and it's 5.3 ounces. It also consists of 220 calories and thirteen grams of protein.

Review: LUNA Fiber Peanut Butter Strawberry Bar
LUNA bars have kind of a hit or miss history on this blog, which kind of fits along with their parent company CLIF, who has a similar history here.. I've found some of them to be bland and/or awful, while I've found others to be pretty darn good. Hoping that this next bar, and the first one from their Fiber line, will be more of a hit, I picked up this LUNA Fiber Peanut Butter Strawberry Bar at Kroger on sale for $1.00. It's a soft-baked fruit-filled bar, so it's got a lot of hyphens. It's also fiber intensive with seven grams of fiber and comes in at 1.41 ounces with 120 calories and two grams of protein.

Review: Arctic Zero Chocolate Peanut Butter Frozen Dessert
So everyone knows that desserts and ice creams are not healthy but some companies try to make valiant attempts to make their desserts "healthier" and after having been told about Arctic Zero products in the past, I've been casually looking for them in my local stores to no avail...until recently. Of course, had I used the product finder on their website, I would have found these a lot faster, but as we all know, I'm not particularly bright. Anyway, I found several different flavors of their frozen dessert pints in one of my local Kroger stores and since my quest was finally fulfilled, I knew I had to grab a couple of flavors to try out, so I'll start with a review of this Arctic Zero Chocolate Peanut Butter Frozen Dessert that I picked up on sale for $4.99. One of the miraculous things about Arctic Zero products is that they are only 150 calories per pint, so you can destroy a whole pint and not feel all that guilty about it.

Review: CLIF Kid Z Bar Iced Oatmeal Cookie Bar
I know I say this a lot now, but I'll spare the long intro again because it tires and just say that CLIF has a lot products and I've done a lot of reviews on them. Trying their endless line of products leads me to another product from their Z Bar line of products aimed at kids with this review of the CLIF Kid Z Bar Iced Oatmeal Cookie Bar that I picked up at Kroger on sale for $0.75. This organic bar is 1.27 ounces and has 130 calories and three grams of protein and particularly interests me because, on occasion, I would make the argument that oatmeal cookies are better than chocolate chip cookies. I'm not saying that's always the case, but sometimes the wind blows me that particular way, so I was curious to see how this "cookie" related to the real thing.

Review: Kashi Almond Soft-Baked Square
I've been hard on Kashi products on the blog, but last time I reviewed one of these soft-baked squares, it wasn't bad, but I was also not overly impressed either. Since the last square that I tried was a free sample, they sent along a coupon to get $1.00 off a box of these at the store, so on my next trip to Meijer, I saw these Kashi Almond Soft-Baked Squares on sale for $2.99 and with my coupon, I was able to get a box of five of these for $1.99. What a deal! My bargain shopping aside, each soft-baked square comes in at 1.4 ounces and has 160 calories and three grams of protein.

Review: Blue Bell Pecan Pralines 'n Cream Ice Cream
I've been known to complain a lot on this blog about product names and descriptions because they are either too cute and/or do not describe the product fully. I've done this in previous Blue Bell reviews and the reason I bring that up again today is because the name of the subject of today's review pretty much takes all of that complaining out of the equation because the name of this pint of Blue Bell Pecan Pralines 'n Cream Ice Cream pretty much says it all, so there's no reason to complain, even though the pint container does not contain a description of what is inside anywhere on the packaging. I guess it doesn't need it (FYI, the full product description is on the half gallon size container). Anyway, I picked this up at Meijer on sale for $1.67 and it is the typical four half-cup servings and is 180 calories per serving.

Review: Lifeway Lowfat Kefir Probiotic Raspberry Yogurt Smoothie
These yogurt smoothies crack me up. If I wanted a smoothie, which I seldom do, I'd get a smoothie. If I wanted yogurt, which I often do, I'd get some yogurt. Rarely, if ever, do I want both but in case I do, these yogurt smoothies exist for my enjoyment and that leads me to another Lifeway product review with this review of the Lifeway Lowfat Kefir Probiotic Raspberry Yogurt Smoothie. I picked this one up at Kroger for $1.25 and it's eight ounces of fun with 140 calories and eleven grams of protein.

Review: MorningStar Farms Tomato & Basil Pizza Veggie Burgers
When I was in elementary school, our school cafeteria would serve something that they called pizza burgers once a week or as least every other week. These pizza burgers consisted of a base of a hamburger bun, a "pizza" mix on top (it was more like Sloppy Joe mix) and then melted mozzarella cheese on top of that. For some reason, we all thought those were spectacularly delicious. Why do I bring that up? Well, this review of the MorningStar Farms Tomato & Basil Pizza Veggie Burgers reminded me of those. Of course, MorningStar Farms' version is nothing like those that we had in the cafeteria, but at least the name is similar enough that it reminded me of an oddly fond memory from my youth. Anyway, for this addition to the MorningStar Farms review series, I picked up a box of these pizza burgers on sale at Kroger for $3.00 and each box contains four burgers at a weight of 2.36 ounces and 120 calories per burger.

Review: Hunt's Snack Pack Bakery Shop Frosted Sugar Cookie Pudding
After my initial review of one of the products from the Hunt's Snack Pack Bakery Shop line, I was both curious and anxious to dive in for a second review since this line of products has what seems like very interesting flavors. Next up in the series is this review of the Hunt's Snack Pack Bakery Shop Frosted Sugar Cookie Pudding that I picked up on sale at Meijer for $1.00. Each package contains the typical four 3.25 ounce pudding cups and each pudding cup is 100 calories. It's also equivalent to an eight ounce glass of milk, so yeah calcium!

Review: Walden Farms Chocolate Peanut Spread
I was at a family gathering recently and my brother started talking about his diabetic son and how it was difficult for them to find sugar free products for him to eat. Up until that point, I had thought of my Walden Farms reviews as appealing to the dieters of the world, but it never crossed my mind that my reviews could be read by diabetics looking for sugar free products that would allow them to eat more like a "normal" person. I'm glad that aspect was opened up to me because I had started to get bored of reviewing Walden Farms products all the time, despite the fact that I like them a lot. So armed with this new lease on life, so to speak, I'm led to this review of the new-ish Walden Farms Chocolate Peanut Spread. I picked this up via Netrition.com and it was $3.79 for the twelve ounce jar. As always, it's calorie free, sugar free (relevant to this intro), etc.

Review: Breyers Blasts! Mrs. Fields Chocolate Fudge Brownie Frozen Dairy Dessert
I've got to admit that I'm enjoying reviewing all of these Breyers Blasts! frozen dairy desserts. It's not because I think all of them are good, but I certainly appreciate what Breyers is trying to do with them. They are making a dessert for guys like me...meaning guys that love their ice cream-like desserts with a whole bunch of add-ins. Ice cream (and frozen dairy dessert alone) is fine, but give me some stuff to crunch on or chew my way through and you've at least got a plan to make me happy because it all comes down to the execution after that. So, another sale led me to pick up another 1.5 quart container of this Breyers Blasts! Mrs. Fields Chocolate Fudge Brownie Frozen Dairy Dessert at Meijer for $2.99. Each container has twelve half-cup servings and each serving comes in at a reasonable 140 calories per serving.
Review: LUNA Protein Cookie Dough Bar
I've declared my love of cookie dough here on the blog before and seriously, what person doesn't love cookie dough, especially eating it its raw form? Great, now my mouth is salivating as I type this review. Time to focus...so, I've reviewed plenty of LUNA bars before, normal and protein kinds, and now its time for another review with this review of the LUNA Protein Cookie Dough Bar that I picked up at Kroger on sale for $0.99. This one comes in at 1.6 ounces and is 170 calories with twelve grams of protein.

Review: Kellogg's Special K Sweet & Salty Popcorn Chips
A while back during Special K week, I had a request from a reader to review a Special K product that I had not done yet and frankly, the thought of it bored me. But, I do like to fulfill requests from my loyal readers, so that leads me to this review of the Kellogg's Special K Sweet & Salty Popcorn Chips. I picked up a box of these at Kroger for $2.49 and the first thing of note is that this box contains more product than the cracker chip boxes as it contains 4.5 ounces of Popcorn Chips as opposed to the 3.5 in the other flavors. Since this is a bigger box, there are more servings in this box at 4.5 and each serving is 120 calories. For reference, a serving size is about 28 chips.

Review: Voskos Wild Strawberry Greek Yogurt
V stands for Victory and Voskos, among many other things. The reason I tie these two together in this post is that I've once again emerged victorious over a ridiculous impulse purchase of Voskos products that I made at Kroger with this final review of the Voskos Wild Strawberry Greek Yogurt from that splurge that has led to many reviews. What I mean by splurge is that when I see something like this on sale, I buy all of the flavor varieties and then burden myself with reviewing them all for this site. Now, don't shed a tear for me (like you would) because I bring it on myself, but sometimes my lack of self control/impulse purchasing does get annoying. Anyway, like the others, I picked this one up at Kroger on sale for $1.00. It's 5.3 ounces of Greek yogurt that comes in with 120 calories with twelve grams of protein. It's also zero fat. Yea!

Review: Magnum Mochaccino Ice Cream Bar
Magnum always pulls a fast one one me. Just when I think I've reviewed all their products, a new one pops up in the store, so being the rube that I am, I go ahead and pick it up for a review. That rube-ness is what leads me to this review of the new Magnum Mochaccino Ice Cream Bar that I picked up on sale at Meijer for $2.49. Each box contains three ice cream bars and each individual bar comes in at 3.38 fluid ounces and has 250 calories per bar, so it's not a calorie killer, but it's also not a freebie either. Also, I'm not the world's biggest fan of coffee flavored ice cream (I love coffee), but I'll try to not let that bias sway me going in.

Review: Walden Farms Creamy Italian Salad Dressing
It's funny, on the day that I am actually typing this review (I do most of them well in advance), I've got a Walden Farms review up on the blog. When I take a look at the Walden Farms review history on the blog, I've done somewhere in the neighborhood of twenty reviews, depending on when you read this. Based on that sheer volume of reviews that I have done, I think I've got a pretty good handle on Walden Farms products and while it that review archive will continue to grow, I pretty much know what to expect when reviewing these products. Somewhat acidic taste (some stronger than others), high sodium content, calorie free, gluten free, fat free, etc. Basically, these products are miracles out of a science lab and it's no different with this Walden Farms Creamy Italian Salad Dressing. I picked this one up at Netrition.com for $3.79 and it's a twelve ounce bottle.
Review: Good 'n Natural Oatmeal Cinnamon Raisin Bar
So I thought I had touched on all the Good 'n Natural products in prior reviews, but lo and behold, I found a new product offering (at least it was new at the time) on the shelves of the nutrition bar section on one of my recent trips to Kroger. I've generally found Good 'n Natural products to be just okay in general, but with a name/recipe like this Good 'n Natural Oatmeal Cinnamon Raisin Bar had (there's no product page at this time, so I guess it is pretty new), I was expecting big things because I absolutely love all three of those things that are mentioned in the product name. With that, I grabbed this on sale for $0.99 and it comes in at a fairly robust 2.0 ounces with 220 calories and ten grams of protein.

Review: Hunt's Snack Pack Bakery Shop Chocolate Cupcake Pudding
I've reviewed a lot of pudding on this blog, but have mainly stayed away from Hunt's Snack Packs because the majority of their flavors are so bland. With that and being that I'm a pudding addict, when I saw these Bakery Shop pudding cups in the aisle at my local Meijer, I knew I had to pick up some flavors to try. First to be reviewed is the Hunt's Snack Pack Bakery Shop Chocolate Cupcake Pudding. This one was priced at $1.00 for a four pack and each pudding cup in the four pack is 3.25 ounces. That's a lot of fours! Each cups is 110 calories and despite the fact that these have milk in them, they somehow have a shelf life of eighteen months and do not require refrigeration. Amazing.

Review: Rickland Orchards Blueberry Acai Greek Yogurt Bar
I've gradually been making my way through reviews of all the Rickland Orchards products and flavors that I can find in my store and this latest review of in the Greek yogurt themed product craze is the Rickland Orchards Blueberry Acai Greek Yogurt Bar. Now, I love blueberries, but products with acai, not so much. So this is bar is basically like good versus evil for me in terms of the flavors that are pitted up against each other. Still, sometimes acai products turn out okay and I was curious to see whether this bar ended up as one of those situations. I picked this one up for $1.59 at Meijer and each bar is 1.41 ounces with 160 calories and seven grams of protein.
Review: Bora Bora Exotic Coconut Almond Bar
I have to admit that when I first saw these Bora Bora bars in the store, I laughed at the whole motif that they were trying to convey with the clear packaging and the island, fruit and nut themes. But, as I've come to find out in my numerous reviews, they really aren't a joke at all and I actually like them. So, that leads me to the last of the group of bars that I picked up at Meijer for $0.75 with this Bora Bora Exotic Coconut Almond Bar. It's a magical and exotic superfood and it clocks in at 1.4 ounces with 210 calories and four grams of protein.

Review: New Orleans Ice Cream Company Cafe Au Lait & Beignets Ice Cream
So the New Orleans Ice Cream Company string of reviews finally ends continues as I go onto another review from the free shipment of pints that I received and that leads me to this review of the New Orleans Ice Cream Company Cafe Au Lait & Beignets Ice Cream. I've had experience reviewing coffee flavored ice cream pints before when I reviewed Starbucks' Caramel Macchiato and wasn't particularly fond of it, so I've purposely held this one for last because of that reason. Before I dive into this, the nutrition information includes four half-cup servings at a reasonable 200 calories per serving.

Review: Kellogg's Special K Blueberry Pastry Crisps
As Special K week continues, it's time to dive into my third review of their Pastry Crisps line. In previous reviews, I've had some positive experiences with this breakfast-like snack. Some of the other flavors have been decadent sweets and/or chocolate, but this time I'll be diving into a more traditional flavor with this review of the Kellogg's Special K Blueberry Pastry Crisps. I picked this up in the mega Special K sale at Meijer for $2.50 and as with all of these, it contains five pouches of crisps (two crisps per pouch) per box and each package is a combined 0.88 ounces and 100 calories.

Review: Kellogg's Special K Chocolatey Pretzel Cereal Bar
As this week has shown (and will continue to show), it seems like Kellogg's and also Special K are bringing the heat recently with all sorts of new products. Seemingly on every trip I make to the store recently, there is at least a new Kellogg's products, some of which I've touched on here. They are also loading up the Sunday paper with coupons in my area, so armed with one of those coupons on a recent trip, I decided to pick up a box of these Kellogg's Special K Chocolatey Pretzel Cereal Bars on sale with my coupon for $2.49. The box has six bars and each bar comes in at 0.77 ounces with 90 calories and a laughable one gram of protein. It is a cereal (breakfast) bar after all, so the lack of protein should not be surprising.

Review: Liberte Greek Blueberry Yogurt
To say my first Liberte review didn't go so well would be an understatement. I found the Canadian import to be borderline disgusting and much to Liberte's credit, they reached out to me via Twitter with their concern. Not that I need the ego stroking, but it is always nice to see companies interact via social media as a way to manage and help their brand. It certainly gave me a higher opinion of them after they reached out to me. I mentioned to them that I'd be doing more Liberte reviews and that leads me to this review of the Liberte Greek Blueberry Yogurt single serving cup. I picked this one up as part of the debut sale at Kroger for $1.00 and it's 5.3 ounces with 130 calories and eleven grams of protein.

Review: Kellogg's Special K Sour Cream & Onion Cracker Chips
In my prior reviews, I've had some pretty good experiences with these cracker chips. They are very potato tasting which should be one of the most obvious statements of all time being that these are basically baked potato chips. That said, the strength of the potato flavoring did surprise me as I was expecting something more along the lines of a rice cake. Anyway, those experiences have led me to be more open to trying more flavors from this product line, so that leads me to today's review of these Kellogg's Special K Sour Cream & Onion Cracker Chips that I picked up in the monster Special K sale at Meijer for $2.50. Each box is 4.0 ounces of fun and contains 3.5 servings at 110 calories per serving. As a reminder, Special K describes a serving as 27 cracker chips.

Review: Kellogg's Special K Raspberry Cheesecake Bar
As you've seen already this week, my local Meijer has been running a lot of Special K sales recently and judging by the increasing amount of Special K reviews that I've been posting, it's pretty obvious that I went a little bonkers during these sales and bought a lot of products to try out. It's that buying insanity that leads me to this review of the Kellogg's Special K Raspberry Cheesecake Bar. I picked up a box of six of these on sale for $2.50 and each cereal bar in the box comes in at 0.77 ounces and has 90 calories. It's obviously not a big bar in terms of size or calorie load, but it should make a decent snack based on those parameters. Of course, where or not something makes a good snack is always subject to its taste and that's why I'm here to service you!

Review: Turkey Hill Chocolate Nutty Moose Tracks Light Ice Cream
So on a previous jaunt through Kroger, I picked up a couple of containers of Light Ice Cream as opposed to the regular full power ice creams that I mostly review. You've already seen one of those reviews, but I'm hear with another review with this look at the Turkey Hill Chocolate Nutty Moose Tracks Light Ice Cream. Like the last, I picked this one up on sale at Kroger for $2.99 for a 1.5 quart container. Each container has twelve half-cup servings of light ice cream and each serving clocks in at 140 calories.
Review: Kellogg's Special K Cheddar Cracker Chips
I had previously reviewed some of Kellogg's Special K Cracker Chips before and had found them to be quite good, in an interesting way. Since my local Meijer has basically been giving these Special K products away (as you'll be see this week with reviews), I picked up a box of these Kellogg's Special K Cheddar Cracker Chips on sale for $2.50. You know, using cheese as your flavor seems like it is the easiest and oldest product development trick in the book. I can just see these development putting all their heads together trying to come up with flavors and then ultimately settling on the ultimate fallback flavor, cheddar cheese. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that as there are some outstanding cheddar flavored products out there, but it does amuse me that everything seems to have a variation of that flavor. For nutritional purposes, these cracker chips have 110 calories per serving (27 chips per serving) and there's roughly 3.5 servings in the 4.0 ounce box. One hilarious aspect, at least to me, was that these come in a HUGE box and when I looked and saw that the contents were only 4.0 ounces, it kind of made me chuckle.

Review: Kellogg's Special K Chocolatey Delight Pastry Crisps
Kicking off Special K week and adding to my collection of Special K reviews, I'll start with a product that basically just jumped from the shelf at Meijer into my car since it used the oldest and easiest trick in the book of "NEW" on the box to rope me, a complete rube, into making the purchase. I've had one of these pastry crisps before and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I was hoping that enjoyment would carry over into this Kellogg's Special K Chocolatey Delight Pastry Crisps that I picked up on sale for $2.50. Each box contains five pasty crisps packages (two crisps per package) and each package comes in at 0.88 ounces and 100 calories. That's for both pastry crisps, so the math geniuses of the world can divide that in half to figure out the weight and calorie load of each pastry crisp.

Site News: Kellogg's Special K Week Coming Up!
If you've spent any time in the store recently, you'll see that Kellogg's and Special K are really pushing their Special K Challenge and also a plethora of new Special K products via sales, coupons, promotions, etc. Since I'm a sucker for all those things, I've been picking these products up like crazy and have quite a queue of review of them stored up. Because of this, I'll be dedicating this entire next week to throwing out one review of a Special K product each day. I'll have a couple of other non-Special K product review, but you'll predominantly be seeing reviews related to the challenge each day.
For those of you that aren't ware of what the Special K Challenge actually is, it is basically a meal plan that allows you to drop a six pounds (or a jeans size) over a two week period by substituting Special K products for your normal foods. If you are interested in more info, check out the link on their website.
Thanks again for reading and I look forward to bringing you a Special K review each day this week!

Review: Muller FrutUp Splendid Strawberry Lowfat Yogurt with Fruit Mousse
Time to continue what seems to be the never ending saga of Muller yogurt reviews. The funny thing is that I've looked at the Muller site and there are several flavors on there that are not even available in my stores! So, much like everything Quaker Oats-related (their parent company), there are countless varieties of a singular product so that you can basically cater to anyone. It's one of those endless varieties of the FrutUp lowfat yogurt line that leads me to this review of the Muller FrutUp Splendid Strawberry Lowfat Yogurt with Fruit Mousse. I picked this up at Meijer for $1.25 and it's 5.3 ounces and 140 calories with seven grams of protein.

Review: Muller Corner Lowfat Yogurt with Choco Flakes
Here I come from right around the corner with another review of a Muller Corner product. Okay, that might be the most cheesy and stupid intro I've ever written. I feel like one of those dopey press agents that tries to think of cute ways to tie their product name to things. So, enough of that. I picked up this Muller Corner Lowfat Yogurt with Choco Flakes as part of the big Muller introductory sale at Kroger for $1.00. It's 5.3 ounces and has 220 calories and eight grams of protein.

Review: Magnum Mint Ice Cream Bar
I've spent a decent amount of time reviewing the remaining Magnum products on this blog. Being that I want to be all encompassing...actually, that's not true...being that I have an absurd sweet tooth, I felt it was time to review the Magnum product I've been holding out on the longest with this review of the Magnum Mint Ice Cream Bar. My dislike of mint and chocolate mixed together has kept me from this one for a long time, but as I've done more reviews on this blog, I've found that I don't hate that flavor combination as much as I once did. In fact, I actually have liked it in a lot of instances, so I was curious to see if that applied to this as well. I picked up a box of three of these at Kroger on sale for $3.00 and each bar comes in at a weight of 2.7 ounces and has 250 calories. According to the Magnum website, this is one of their "Gourmet" flavors, so the real question of this review is, how gourmet is it?

Review: Muller Greek Corner Lowfat Yogurt with Strawberry
I figure that if Kroger can put a new product on special, I can continue to barrel through reviews. So, that brings me to another Muller yogurt review with this first time review of one of their Greek yogurt products, but not a first time review of their Corner products. I picked up this single serving container of Muller Greek Corner Lowfat Yogurt with Strawberry at the aforementioned Kroger on sale for $1.00 and it comes in at 5.3 ounces with 150 calories and nine grams of protein. Muller is a Quaker product, so the fact that Muller has multiple variations of its Corner line with multiple kinds of yogurt should not be surprising.
