Review: Chobani flip PB&J Greek Yogurt
There are certain foods that just remind you of childhood. Some of them are foods that you only eat during your childhood and then move on (Pixy Stix for me) and others are foods that stay with you for a lifetime. Today's review is an attempt by Chobani to try to re-create one of those foods that has stayed with me for a lifetime in Greek yogurt form. If you've already read the title of this post, you obviously know what that childhood delight is, so I'll just move on with adding today's review of this Chobani flip PB&J Greek Yogurt to my Chobani review collection. I was able to pick this up on sale at Kroger for $0.88 and each cup comes in at 5.3 ounces with 200 calories and twelve grams of protein. It's also all natural, kosher and vegetarian as well.

Review: Nature Valley Sweet & Spicy Chili Dark Chocolate Bars
I've been getting a lot of products from Marsh recently in the clearance section. I don't think it is because the products are terrible but instead because Marsh has a real problem controlling their expiration dates and keeping food fresh. So, I guess I bring this up because you should just ignore the clearance sticker on these products going forward and instead focus on the product itself. Today, I'm adding to my Nature Valley review collection with this review of a box of six Nature Valley Sweet & Spicy Chili Dark Chocolate Bars. Each bar in the box is 1.24 ounces and has 160 calories with three grams of protein.

Review: Quaker Quinoa Chocolate Nut Medley Granola Bars
I don't know what it is about these Quaker Quinoa bars and Marsh. In the last review, I also found that flavor on clearance and once again in a visit to the clearance section, I found this box of Quaker Quinoa Chocolate Nut Medley Granola Bars on clearance as well. Not sure if Marsh can't sell them or they just can't sell in general, but it seems odd to me. Either way, a box of these contains five bars and each bar is 1.23 ounces with 150 calories and two grams of protein.

Review: Annie's Organic Berry Berry Granola Bars
The clearance section at Marsh has had some good stuff in it recently, at least in my opinion. Today is another one of those finds in the section as I picked up an Annie's product, of which I've seen countless times in various stores, but have never wanted to make the big leap to buy any of them. Clearance will make a guy do funny things though and that's why I decided to grab this box of Annie's Organic Berry Berry Granola Bars off the shelf. Each box has six 0.98 ounce bars and each bar is 120 calories with two grams of protein.

Review: Chobani flip Chipotle Pineapple Greek Yogurt
Every now and then, I encounter a product that just completely knocks me off guard. Today's review is one of those products because I would have NEVER expected a Greek yogurt to have both chipotle and pineapple as the core flavors, especially a Chobani product since most of theirs that I've reviewed have been of the sweet variety. And quite honestly, I was scared to grab this container of Chobani flip Chipotle Pineapple Greek Yogurt out of the dairy case (there's another one that is an even stranger combination that I'll review later). I guess curiosity overpowered my fears though and that's why we are here today. This container is packed with 5.3 ounces of Greek yogurt and mix-ins and has 190 calories and twelve grams of protein.

Review: Don't Go Nuts Whitewater Chomp Nut Free Energy Bar
I was aimless strolling through my local Meijer recently (I'm not going to kid myself, I'm always aimless strolling) and I wandered through the nutrition bar aisle and noticed that there was an entirely new line of bars sitting on the shelf. Curiosity piqued, I went in for a closer look and found this Don't Go Nuts Whitewater Chomp Nut Free Energy Bar on sale for roughly $1.50. The world seems to be filled with people with allergies to something these days and in this case, this bar caters to those with nut allergies as it's nut free. It's also gluten free, kosher and organic. Packed into this 1.58 ounces are 180 calories and two grams of protein, although the website says there are three grams. What a dilemma...packaging vs. website!

Review: Quaker Quinoa Yogurt, Fruit & Nut Granola Bars
I'll admit that I've been a little slow to get this new (it was at one time) Quaker product into my review catalog. I've got a pretty good reason though...they've never been at what I feel is a fair price. So, on a recent trip to Marsh, I found them at a very fair price (on clearance) and I know I had to snatch up a five of these Quaker Quinoa Yogurt, Fruit & Nut Granola Bars for a much delayed review. Typically, these run in the $3.00-$4.00 range for a box (at Kroger), but let's just say that I got these at a price substantially lower than that, as the remnants of the clearance tag on the front of the box will infer. Anyway, each bar in the box is 1.23 ounces and has 150 calories and two grams of protein. These bars are designed to be snacks, so they aren't large from a calorie, weight or protein perspective.

Review: Quaker Chewy Birthday Cake Granola Bars
It must be new product season for Quaker Chewy bars. Recently, I've noticed and reviewed several of their new Girl Scouts affiliated flavors, but today I'm going to be taking a look at a new product that is not really affiliated with anything except the anniversary of someone's birth and the dessert related to that. Yep, it's a box of eight Quaker Chewy Birthday Cake Granola Bars that I stupidly paid the full price of $2.75 for at Marsh. I say stupidly because they went on sale for $1.99 two days after I bought this box. AARGH! Anyway, each bar in the box clocks in at 0.84 ounces and has 100 calories. Basically, it's a standard Quaker Chewy bar.

Review: Quaker Chewy Girl Scouts Thin Mints Granola Bars
I mentioned in my previous Quaker Chewy review of one of their Girl Scouts products that I found it strange that they just wouldn't refer to the flavor by it's actual cookie name (Samoa). Well, that's not a problem in the case of today's review as Quaker happily dubbed this by it's actual cookie name right on the front of this box of Quaker Chewy Girl Scouts Thin Mints Granola Bars. The fact that they will put the name on the cookie on the front of this box and will not put the name of the cookie on the other box lends weight to my crazy theory that "Samoa" is somewhat controversial. Anyway, this box of eight bars cost me $2.50 at Kroger and each 0.84 ounce bar has 100 calories packed in.

Review: Steve's PaleoGoods Cinnamon Paleokrunch Cereal
So, the charity of Steve (as opposed to The Tao of Steve) continues again today as I embark on another Steve's PaleoGoods review that came out of my wonderful sampler pack that they so graciously delivered to my front door. Today's review is of something I have a real problem with: granola. It's not a problem because I don't like it or I'm allergic to it or whatever. It's a problem because I'm ADDICTED to granola. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. My favorite thing about staying in hotels is the free breakfast in the morning so that I can go down there and DESTROY their granola. And if you don't think I've used enough all capital letter words yet, I will tell you that when I'm at a hotel that doesn't have granola, I am really, really SAD. Anyway, today's addiction (or review) is of this 7.5 ounce bag of Steve's PaleoGoods Cinnamon Paleokrunch Cereal that was sent along to me. It's got five servings in the bag and simple math tells this math wizard that is 1.5 ounces per serving. Each serving also has 209 calories and seven grams of protein and to top that all off, it's gluten free and paleo. Yahoo Mountain Dew (does anyone else actually say that or have you at least heard it?)!

Review: Shaun White Monkey Bars Peanut Butter Chocolate Chewy Granola Bars
I've proven on many occasions on this blog that when I am purchasing items that the store, my reading comprehension is sometimes lacking. Today's product is one of those instances as when I saw this box of Shaun White Monkey Bars Peanut Butter Chocolate Chewy Granola Bars (who knew the skateboarder made granola bars?!) in the store, I only noticed that it was peanut butter chocolate. What I completely missed was that it also said it was made with real bananas. Oops. I guess I should have drawn the easy conclusion being that these are "Monkey Bars" but I didn't put two and two together.
I've said before that I can eat bananas, but I am not their biggest fan, so it sometimes skews my reviews. So, in today's review, I think it is only fair to review this based on the flavor with the bananas and try to keep my prejudices out of it. That way, banana people out there will know whether this is worth buying or not. Anyway, I picked up this box of five for $2.00 at Kroger and each bar in the box is 1.2 ounces and has 140 calories with four grams of protein.

Review: Rickland Orchards Strawberry Greek Yogurt Bar
There have been many times where I have been walking through the store and am looking at all the bars in the "healthy" section of the store and as I see different things, I think to myself that I've reviewed that one before and there's no reason to pick that up. On a trip to Marsh a while back, I was doing that and saw the subject of today's review sitting on the shelf and though that I had reviewed it before, so I moved on. When I got home, it was bugging me, so I checked the archives of the blog and it turns out that I haven't reviewed it before. Perhaps it was because I found the whole concept of this Rickland Orchards Strawberry Greek Yogurt Bar to be so basic, but I'm not really sure. Regardless, knowing that I hadn't reviewed it before, I made it a point to pick one up for $1.49 on my next trip to Marsh and that leads us today's review, which is the first Rickland Orchards review in well over a year. Now, this bar comes in at 1.41 ounces with 150 calories and seven grams of protein AND it has ingredients imported from Europe, so it's definitely fancy.

Review: Wholesome Goodness Apple Cinnamon Omega Granola Bar
My mother tells me that I'm supposed to have some wholesomeness and goodness in my life. If that's true, what better way to get that in my life (and my belly) is there than to eat a bar with both of those things in the name? I really can't see a better way, can you? Yes, that is a really horrible introduction, but hey, sometimes it's tough to write something witty (or even remotely passable) every single time. Anyway, this isn't the first time I've tried to get both of those things in me since I've reviewed Wholesome Goodness previously, but today's review is another variety out of their product offering with this look at the Wholesome Goodness Apple Cinnamon Omega Granola Bar that I was able to pick up for $1.49 at my local Marsh. Each bar is 1.4 ounces and has 160 calories and three grams of protein.

Review: Wholesome Goodness Cranberry Omega Granola Bar
It's another new manufacturer! I always love it when I stumble upon something new in my usual stores because I sometimes worry that I'm going to run out of things that I can or want to review for this blog. In the back of my head, I know that would never be a problem, but I worry because that's just the type of person that I am. Anyway, today's new product is a Wholesome Goodness Cranberry Omega Granola Bar that I picked up at Marsh for $1.29. It's 1.4 ounces and has 160 calories and three grams of protein. As the name would imply, it's good for Omega fats too, so hooray I guess.

Review: Cascadian Farm Organic Vanilla Chip Chewy Granola Bars
I would ordinarily stay away from something like today's review because it sounds so boring. But, as I've proven many times before, a coupon will cause me to do things I wouldn't ordinarily do and when Meijer gave me a Cascadian Farm Organic product coupon that entitled me to a $1.50 off, my interest was immediately piqued. On a recent trip, I saw that these bars were on sale for $3.00 per box, so I knew that with my $1.50 off coupon, I'd be getting a box of these six Cascadian Farm Organic Vanilla Chip Chewy Granola Bars for a steal to add to my review collection. Each bar in the box is 1.2 ounces and is a modest 140 organic calories with a minimal two grams of protein.

Review: Quaker Chewy Caramel Apple Granola Bars
As I mentioned in my last Quaker Chewy bar review, the Quaker machine always keeps on rolling with new Chewy bar flavors. Today's review is the other flavor that I picked up on a recent trip to Meijer that was tagged as a new flavor. Loving Chewy bars and loving new flavors, I giddily grabbed this box of eight Quaker Chewy Caramel Apple Granola Bars off the shelf for the lovely sale price of $1.67. Each bar in the box is 0.84 ounces and comes in at the low end of calorie counts (for Chewy bars) at 90 calories bar.

Review: Quaker Chewy Chocolate Strawberries Granola Bars
Those tricky Quaker Oats people (Tricky Dick Nixon was a Quaker, by the way; coincidence?). They keep putting out new products for reviews and when I was recently strolling through my local Meijer, I noticed that there are two new flavors of their standard size Chewy bar. Today's review is the first of those flavors that I'll look at as I was able to pick up this box of eight Quaker Chewy Chocolate Strawberries Granola Bars on sale for $1.67. These are so new that they do not even have a presence on the Quaker website as of the time that I am writing this post. Each bar in the box is 0.84 ounces and 100 calories. Basically, that's the same size and caloric measurements as the standard Chewy products.

Review: Quaker Big Chewy Sweet & Salty Caramel Popcorn Crunch Granola Bars
I've touched on one of these new Quaker Big Chewy Sweet & Salty granola bars in a prior review and in classic Chewy bar fashion, it was tasty, but certainly not anything that would re-define my life. Even though I've got that prior experience with countless Chewy bars, I was still anxious to dive into this box of five Quaker Big Chewy Sweet & Salty Caramel Popcorn Crunch Granola Bars because just the flavor combination seemed intriguing since it is something that I've never seen in granola bar form before. Anyway, I picked up this box up on sale at Meijer for $2.00 and each bar in the box was 1.41 ounces and had 170 calories.

Review: Kashi Dark Mocha Almond Chewy Granola Bars
I know I say the same thing in every single Kashi review, but it always bears repeating that there is not a single product manufacturer on this blog that I have a more tortured and tumultuous history with. Bad, good, terrible, awesome...their products cover the entire gamut of reactions from me. With that history in mind, I once again dive into another one of their products with today's review of this box of six Kashi Dark Mocha Almond Chewy Granola Bars that I picked up on sale at Kroger for $2.75. Each bar in the box is 1.2 ounces of all natural granola bar and each bar is 130 calories with six grams of protein.

Review: Quaker Big Chewy Sweet & Salty Chocolate & Salted Caramel Granola Bars
Hey, hey!! Another new Quaker Chewy product! I hadn't reviewed one of these for a long, long time, so I'm glad Chewy bars can make it back to the blog, albeit in the Big Chewy form. I picked up a box of six of these Quaker Big Chewy Sweet & Salty Chocolate & Salted Caramel Granola Bars on sale at Meijer for $2.00 and each bar in the box weighs in at 1.41 ounces (it's 60% bigger!) with a robust 170 calories. I guess it is a BIG Chewy bar after all, so that calorie count shouldn't surprise me.
