Review: Yoplait Greek 100 Whips! Salted Caramel Greek Yogurt Mousse

These Whips! products have been popping up in the dairy case at my local grocery stores with increasing frequency and I've been knocking the off with reviews as they've been popping up.  Today's review is of a new flavor that has popped into the case (and Yoplait's product line) in this single serving cup of Yoplait Greek 100 Whips! Salted Caramel Greek Yogurt Mousse.  I was able to get this one at Marsh as a freebie (lucky me!), but it would ordinarily be in the $1.00ish range.  The cup itself is a fluffy 4.0 ounces (same size cup as the other Greek yogurt products, but lighter contents) and contains 100 calories and nine grams of protein.

Review: Promax LS Salted Caramel Protein Bar

I mentioned a while back that Promax had sent me some bars as free samples to review and while I've gotten to some of them in reviews, I haven't really been rushing to get everything done.  I don't know why, but that has been the case.  Anyway, I figured today was as good as any to knock out another one of those bars, so that leads me to today's review of this Promax LS Salted Caramel Protein Bar.  LS means lower sugar and this bar is also lower carb, so there's that.  That also means that for a fairly large 2.01 ounce bar, this one only packs in 180 calories.  Within that is a robust eighteen grams of protein, so this is "packing", so to speak.  It's also gluten free and kosher, so there's some positivity.

Review: Kozy Shack Indulgent Recipe Salted Caramel Pudding Cups

As I lamented in my last Kozy Shack review, I don't often buy their products because I find them to be too expensive.  Recently, Kroger printed out a coupon for me at the register at the end of my shopping trip that marked $1.75 off the price of a purchase of one of their pudding cup snack packages, so armed with that, I knew I had to make another purchase.  Last time, I also lamented that I chose what became the more boring of their new Indulgent Recipe line of puddings, so I did not make that mistake twice and instead picked up this four pack of Kozy Shack Indulgent Recipe Salted Caramel Pudding Cups for $2.14 (with coupon).  Each cup in the pack is 3.75 ounces and within that is an indulgent 200 calories.  This ain't no diet food.

Review: Fiber One Salted Caramel Cheesecake Bars

General Mills drives me crazy.  That have a vast array of products, product lines, flavors, etc., but it always seems like their products are so overpriced for what you get.  It's because of that that I often stay away from their products...I just don't feel that I'm getting enough value for what I'm paying.  That said, every so often a sale comes along that makes one of their products/product lines appealing to me and that was the case recently at Meijer when they put a box of five of these Fiber One Salted Caramel Cheesecake Bars on sale for a bargain basement price of $2.00.  I knew I had to add to my Fiber One review collection after seeing that because I felt I was basically stealing and with a product this new (there's not even a webpage for it), I knew I was in.  So, each of the five bars in the box comes in at 1.35 ounces and has 150 calories and minimal two grams of protein, but let's be honest, you aren't getting these bars for the protein.  You are getting them for the fiber and all those "benefits."  With that happy thought, let's drop into this review...

Review: Dannon Light & Fit Greek Salted Caramel Greek Yogurt

This cup of Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt that I picked up for today's review seems to be a seasonal offering.  Not sure what season it is focused on, but if I had to venture a guess based on the packaging design, I'd guess winter.  Still, there's not really a good indication anywhere for me to see so I'll just have to wing it.  Anyway, the enormous Dannon review collection adds another one with this single serving cup of Dannon Light & Fit Greek Salted Caramel Greek Yogurt that I picked up at Kroger for $1.00.  It's clearly denoted as 80 calories on the packaging and within those eighty calories are twelve grams of protein.  This is also gluten free for those of you out there attempting to live a gluten free living.

Review: Ben & Jerry's Salted Caramel Core Ice Cream

After hitting Ben & Jerry's hard in the early review history of the blog, reviews have become sporadic over the last year or so as I've tried to become better about how much ice cream that I eat.  Now, I'm far from perfect, so every now and then I'll "slip" and go out and buy a container of ice cream just to fill a craving.  These so-called cravings are often prompted by sales and that's what happened in the case of today's review as Meijer was selling this pint of Ben & Jerry's Salted Caramel Core Ice Cream for $2.99.  I also had a digital coupon that knocked $1.50 off of that, so I was getting a huge deal.  Being the bargain hunter that I am, you can see how I'd manufacture a craving in  my head now, don't you?  Ben & Jerry's introduced these Core products a while ago, but since I've been controlling myself better, today's review is only my second foray into that product line.  This pint is the typical four half-cup servings and clocks in at 270 calories per serving.

Review: Quaker Big Chewy Sweet & Salty Chocolate & Salted Caramel Granola Bars

Hey, hey!!  Another new Quaker Chewy product!  I hadn't reviewed one of these for a long, long time, so I'm glad Chewy bars can make it back to the blog, albeit in the Big Chewy form.  I picked up a box of six of these Quaker Big Chewy Sweet & Salty Chocolate & Salted Caramel Granola Bars on sale at Meijer for $2.00 and each bar in the box weighs in at 1.41 ounces (it's 60% bigger!) with a robust 170 calories.  I guess it is a BIG Chewy bar after all, so that calorie count shouldn't surprise me.

Review: Nature Valley Salted Caramel Nut Protein Chewy Bar

Have you ever been to Nature Valley?  Yeah, neither have I and yes, that was probably one of the worst introductions that you've ever read and I apologize.  When the megacompany General Mills keeps spurning out products for it's Nature Valley bar line, it becomes difficult to think of new and creative ways to start off one of these seemingly countless reviews.  So, I'll just dive right into this review of the Nature Valley Salted Caramel Nut Protein Chewy Bar that was mailed to me as part of a free promo.  The bar is 1.42 ounces and has 190 calories with ten grams of protein.

Review: Haagen-Dazs Salted Caramel Ice Cream Bars

I've been steadily making my way through the bulk purchase of Haagen-Dazs ice cream bars that I made a while back and today's review is the final flavor of that splurge.  That splurge allowed me to pick up this box of three Haagen-Dazs Salted Caramel Ice Cream Bars for $3.00 at Meijer.  Now, I'm okay with salted caramel as a flavor combination, but I think the sudden surge of products revolving around that flavor is absurd.  I mean, the flavor combo is fine, but it's not as good as the amount of products available would suggest.  But, I guess trying these out will allow me to determine whether these are a successful addition to the world or a failure.  Before I bite in, each bar in this box is 3.0 fluid ounces and comes in at a premium 290 calories.
