Review: Bora Bora Exotic Coconut Almond Bar

I have to admit that when I first saw these Bora Bora bars in the store, I laughed at the whole motif that they were trying to convey with the clear packaging and the island, fruit and nut themes.  But, as I've come to find out in my numerous reviews, they really aren't a joke at all and I actually like them.  So, that leads me to the last of the group of bars that I picked up at Meijer for $0.75 with this Bora Bora Exotic Coconut Almond Bar.  It's a magical and exotic superfood and it clocks in at 1.4 ounces with 210 calories and four grams of protein.

Review: Bora Bora Paradise Walnut Pistachio Bar

I've done several of these Bora Bora reviews and the tropical/paradise motif of these bars amuses me for some reason.  Sure it's got a lot of fruits and nuts, but so do forests, so I'm not quite sure why they are so insistent on drawing the comparison to "sex" up the bars (they are referred to as "Exotic Fruit and Nut Bars").  Anyway, I picked up this Bora Bora Paradise Walnut Pistachio Bar on sale at Meijer for $0.75 and it comes in at 1.4 ounces with a respectable 180 calories and four grams of protein.  With that limited protein, it's purely an energy and/or snack bar.  Oh yeah, by the way, it's an antioxidant bar too.  Yippee!!

Review: Bora Bora Wild Pomegranate Pecan Superfood Bar

Superfoods, superfruits, Superman...oh wait...one of those doesn't belong.  Anyway, perhaps I've been living in a closet my entire life, but it seems like this whole "super" explosion as it refers to foods has been a semi-recent development in food marketing that has been trending over the past few years.  Blueberries, pomegranates, etc., it seems like all of them have been given new life as not only food but also as SUPERfoods and that amuses me.  Anyway, it was time for me to have another superfood and another Bora Bora product as I dive into this review of the Bora Bora Wild Pomegranate Pecan Superfood bar.  I picked this one up at Meijer for $0.75 and it is 1.4 ounces with 140 calories and two grams of protein.

Review: Bora Bora Tribal Cinnamon Oatmeal Bar

When I get bored, which is often, I head to the grocery store for my weekly shopping trip and end up at least tripling the amount of time that would be necessary for me to spend at the store.  Pretty sweet life, eh?  Anyway, when I do end up doing that, I end up browsing through aisles I wouldn't ordinarily visit and also looking at products that I wouldn't ordinarily view.  It's that boredom that led me to spend a little extra time in the snack bar aisle and that led me to this bar that I have never seen before in the Bora Bora Tribal Cinnamon Oatmeal bar.  Being that this piqued my interest, I picked up a variety of different flavors at Meijer for $0.75 each.  I don't know what makes it "Tribal", but it specifically comes in at 1.4 ounces with 170 calories and four grams of protein.  It's also all natural and organic.
