Review: Quest Cinnamon Roll Natural Protein Bar

I get suggestions from readers semi-frequently that I need to review Quest protein bars.  While I don't necessarily disagree with that, finding Quest bars is kind of a pain in the rear since I either need to either purchase them online or make a special trip to a nutrition store like GNC to get them.  Since those types of stores aren't typically in my wheelhouse, I don't do many Quest reviews.  But, I recently found a coupon for a free Quest bar from GNC online, so I printed it out and that leads to today's review of this Quest Cinnamon Roll Natural Protein Bar.  The bar itself is 2.12 ounces, 170 calories and has twenty grams of protein.

Review: Quest Vanilla Almond Crunch Protein Bar

Quest bars are only available through the internet and since I'm a pretty cheap guy, I refuse to pay the prices (plus shipping) for a bar through the internet, so I don't have them often.  So, whenever I see a free giveaway on these, I'm all over it.  Much like my last Quest review, I got this Vanilla Almond Crunch bar through a free giveaway on their website.  The bar itself is 2.12 ounces and has 200 calories with twenty grams of protein.  The fact that this can pack so much protein in a relatively lowish calorie treat is astounding to me, but I guess science amazes me every day.  Anyway, this is also billed as a low carbohydrate and low fiber bar, so there's all sorts of good stuff going on.

Review: Quest Chocolate Brownie Protein Bar

One of the gaping holes in all the reviews of protein bars that I've done on this site is products produced by Quest.  Well, I finally got some in stock via a Facebook promotion where they mailed me a couple to sample, so the first bar I'll be sampling for the blog is the Chocolate Brownie bar.  This bar clocks in at a fairly robust 2.12 ounces and contains 170 calories and twenty grams of protein.  In terms of size, caloric count and protein content, this is a very close competitor to Pure Protein bars that I have reviewed many times on this blog.  Quest bars are low carb, gluten free and made with no artificial sweeteners or sugars, so they are one of the more healthy protein bars that you can find out there.  Also, they are only available online, so you have to buy them there which makes it a bit of a hassle and is also the reason why I've never reviewed one for this blog.  When you buy them online, they are roughly in the $2.00 range per bar.
