Pure Clickbait: Danica Patrick's New Sponsor Is Nature's Bakery

I'm not much of an opportunist, but I'll try to be one here in a big way with this post that is PURE CLICKBAIT.  If you haven't seen the news hot off the presses, Danica Patrick has gotten a new sponsor for the 2016 NASCAR season and that's Nature's Bakery.  Their website is already well on its way to crashing from the overload in traffic from the news, as you can see:

What I find most interesting about this sponsorship is something that Darren Rovell posted in one of his tweets:

Wow.  Obviously GoDaddy wanted to be known and get their name more out there, but they certainly had the revenue to absorb the sponsorship costs and then some.  Nature's Bakery is a drastically smaller company, so this sponsorship takes quite a chunk out of their bottom line.  This is purely a way for a small company to introduce themselves to a broad audience, so I applaud them for that, although their webmaster and hosting company are probably cursing them right now.  I'm not sure their income statement will applaud them though because it not be able to absorb these costs and still maintain a decent bottom line.  Only time will tell, I suppose.

So there you go...pure clickbait and purely a way to show up in Google search rankings if people are curious about Nature's Bakery.  Just showing that I've got no shame and just watch me rake in the advertising revenue now!

Review: Nature's Bakery Stone Ground Whole Wheat Blueberry Fig Bar

If you check the archives of this site, and I'm not quite sure anyone would be bored enough to do that, you will see that I've been to Nature's Bakery before.  I saw recently that my local Meijer had added another flavor to their offerings, so I picked up this Nature's Bakery Stone Ground Whole Wheat Blueberry Fig Bar twin pack on sale for $1.25.  Being that it's a twin pack, it has two bars in it and each bar checks in at 1.0 ounces.  Each bar also has 100 calories and two grams of protein as well.  For those of you that are afraid of your own shadow (or just really healthy people), it's also cholesterol free, dairy free and kosher.

After my last Nature's Bakery review, Nature's Bakery itself responded via my Twitter feed that I need to try out their vanilla raspberry bar and while this Nature's Bakery Stone Ground Whole Wheat Raspberry Fig Bar isn't exactly that, it is close and here we are with another review of one of their products.  Actually, I had already purchased this, so I planned on trying another flavor anyway, but it was nice of them to interact via Twitter and give me a (biased) recommendation.  This package, just like the last, is made up of two separate fig bars and the entire contents have a combined weight of 2.0 ounces.  Each  bar in the package is 110 calories and has two grams of protein.

I've been having a lot of "what the heck?!" Moments on my visits to the grocery stores lately. Maybe I've just been oblivious the entire time, but it seems to me that there are more and more odd products making it to the store shelves. Maybe consumers are revolting against the basic products of yore and manufacturers are battling that by going more off the grid with their products, so to speak. On a recent trip to Kroger, I found what I deemed to be an odd product with this Nature's Bakery Stone Ground Whole Wheat Apple Cinnamon Fig Bar that I picked up for $1.25. Wow, try that name on for size! Each package contains two 1.0 ounce bars and each bar is 110 calories and has two grams of protein. It's also all natural, dairy free, kosher, etc. As for the stone ground part of the bar, I'll leave that up to my imagination because I'm too lazy to look it up.
