Review: Yoplait Greek Lemon Meringue 2% Greek Yogurt

When Kroger posted its Free Friday Download recently, I was slightly disappointed in the fact that it was a Yoplait Greek yogurt product because I thought I had reviewed all the flavors (that I care to review) already.  Much to my surprise, there is a flavor out there that I haven't yet looked at and that leads me to today's review of this single serving cup of Yoplait Greek Lemon Meringue 2% Greek Yogurt.  As I mentioned previously, this was a freebie, but it would ordinarily run in the $1.00 range if you are keeping score at home.  The cup itself contains 5.3 ounces of Greek yogurt and within that is 150 calories and eleven grams of protein.

Review: Dannon Oikos Traditional Lemon Meringue Greek Yogurt

I've reviewed a lot of Dannon yogurts on this blog and have also reviewed quite a few of the Oikos line of Greek yogurts as well, although I don't know that I've ever done one of the "Traditional" Oikos flavors, so today's review is a first.  With that said, I picked up this 5.3 ounce single serving cup of Dannon Oikos Traditional Lemon Meringue Greek Yogurt at Marsh for $1.00.  Each cup has 170 calories and eleven grams of protein.

Review: JELL-O Temptations Key Lime Pie Pudding

I've shared the fact that I'm addicted to JELL-O pudding in the plethora of prior reviews here on the blog.  On the other hand, I'm not so addicted to their Temptations products and those have been kind of hit or miss in my book. Seeing a new (to me) flavor of the Temptations line in the store recently prompted me to pick up this four pack of JELL-O Temptations Key Lime Pudding that was on sale at Kroger for $2.49.  Each pudding cup is  four ounces and also 80 calories.  Now, I'll be the first to admit that while I find Key Lime Pie to be alright, it's not one of my favorite things in the world, but I'm almost always willing to try out new things because sometimes thing surprise me with how good then end up being.  Hopefully that'll be the case with this pudding cup.

Review: Hunt's Snack Pack Bakery Shop Lemon Meringue Pie Pudding

These Bakery Shop pudding cups are a funny premise.  To me, it seems like they are just putting lipstick on a pig.  What I mean by that is that they are taking their basic products and then just putting a pretty name on them to make them seem different.  In prior reviews, it just seems like they are mixing two different kinds of pudding and then calling it an exotic name and that's the whole premise of the pudding cup.  That's been fine in some cases since it has been tasty, but it is an interesting way of re-purposing existing products...basically it's the Taco Bell approach.  With that, it's time to review another one of these Bakery Shop pudding cups with this review of the Hunt's Snack Pack Bakery Shop Lemon Meringue Pie Pudding that I picked up at Meijer in a four pack for $1.00.  It's 3.5 ounces and 120 calories per pudding cup.

Review: Balance Bar Gold Lemon Meringue Crunch Bar

It's no secret that I eat a lot of protein/health bars for this blog.  In fact, reviewing protein/health bars was the primary reason I started this blog because I decided I was going to start eating them as a way to add weight/bulk to my frame.  Now that I've been doing this for many months, I've eaten a ton of these things and I'm starting to get used to them (I don't want to say tired of them).  Anyway, when a manufacturer like Balance Bar sends me a box of bars to try out, I feel obligated to do a review of every flavor, so here we go with this Lemon Meringue Crunch bar from their Gold line of bars.  This one is the Balance Bar standard of 1.76 ounces and has 200 calories.  It also has fourteen grams of protein and what makes it a "Gold" bar is that it is based on the premise of "Three Indulgent Layers".  Let's see how indulgent this one really is...
