Review: Kozy Shack Indulgent Recipe Chocolate Truffle Pudding Cups

I've reviewed Kozy Shack puddings on this blog previously, but I mostly stay away from them because they don't have enough new products and/or I feel that they cost too much.  That's kept me away from them for over two years.  Anyway, their products reside right next to the JELL-O pudding cups in the refrigerator case at Kroger and recently, I noticed that have a new line of puddings called "Indulgent Recipe" focusing on dessert and exotic-type flavors.  I had a digital coupon, so I decided to grab a four pack of this Kozy Shack Indulgent Recipe Chocolate Truffle Pudding Cups.  Can't remember the exact price, but I think the coupon knocked it down to about $2.25.  Each cup in the package comes in at 3.75 ounces and has 200 calories, so it's not a huge container and it's not a diet food.  Clearly, this is indulgent and a "Decadent Dessert Pudding", or so they say.

Review: Dannon Oikos Chocolate On Top Raspberry Truffle Greek Yogurt

I will admit that while I eat a lot of sweets (more than I'd like), I don't spend a lot of time eating the finer sweets like truffles, macaroons, etc. even though I do enjoy most of them.  With that, I found it particularly interesting when I was perusing the dairy case at my local Kroger that I spotted a single serving cup of Greek yogurt that was patterning itself after one of those finer sweets with is 5.3 ounce serving of Dannon Oikos Chocolate On Top Raspberry Truffle Greek Yogurt.  Immediately intrigued, I snapped up this Dannon review subject on sale for $1.00 and within the seemingly decadent "healthy" treat were 210 calories and ten grams of protein.

Review: Kemp's Sea Salt Caramel Truffle Frozen Yogurt

I've touched on Kemp's frozen yogurt products at various times throughout the blog's history.  I'm usually limited by the price and the lack of selection at my local Kroger, but on a recent trip, both of those things were no longer an issue as Kroger added a new flavor option AND also put it on sale.  Combined with a one dollar off coupon via their Kroger mobile app, I was able to pick up a 1.5 quart container of this Kemp's Sea Salt Caramel Truffle Frozen Yogurt for a very respectable $2.99.  Each container has twelve half-cup sized servings and each serving comes in a fairy economical (for a dessert) 140 calories.

Review: South Beach Diet Chocolate Truffle 100 Calorie Smoothies

I mentioned in my last South Beach Diet product review that I found a diamond in the rough when I found that product hiding at The Dollar Tree where I could steal it for the obvious dollar.  Along with that box of bars, I was able to find a four pack of this South Beach Diet Chocolate Truffle 100 Calorie Smoothies also on sale for the unsurprising $1.00.  Each bottle in this four pack is 8.0 ounces and obviously has 100 calories.  Along with that are six grams of protein and 45% less sugar than the typical chocolate smoothie, so this is clearly a diet product as the product name would imply.

Review: Private Selection Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge Truffle Ice Cream

My binge through Private Selection products and through the Kroger family of stores continues this week with another review of one of their store branded (sort of) products in this pint of Private Selection Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge Truffle Ice Cream.  Some of the prior reviews have been hit or miss, so this will be another notch to determine whether positive or negative reviews are a trend in either direction.  Like the others, I picked this one up in a special sale at Kroger for $0.99.  Each pint contains the typical four half-cup servings and each serving of gourmet ice cream clocks in at 220 calories.

Review: Haagen-Dazs White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Ice Cream

In my previous Haagen-Dazs reviews, I dug into their limited edition and gelato flavors.  In this review, I'm going to hit up one of their core flavors for the first time in my entire life as I take a look at this container of Haagen-Dazs White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Ice Cream.  White chocolate?  Um, yes please.  I love, love, love white chocolate, so I'm hoping this is right in my wheelhouse.  I picked this up in a buy two, get one free sale, but it would ordinarily retail in the ballpark of $5.00 per container.  As for the container itself, it's fourteen ounces, which equates to 3.5 half-cup servings.  Each serving is a robust 280 calories.

Review: Skinny Cow Caramel Truffle Low Fat Ice Cream Bars

There's a work saying that goes "another day, another dollar" and that's the way I feel with these Skinny Cow reviews. It's another day, so it's time to do another review of this Skinny Cow Caramel Truffle Low Fat Ice Cream Bars. One by-product of this review week is that while the cow may be skinny, Crazy Food Dude is becoming decreasingly less so after eating all of these. Anyway, I picked this box of six bars up at the aforementioned Marsh super sale for $3.99. Each bar is 2.65 fluid ounces and a very economical 100 calories. It's also a three-pointer on the Weight Watchers PointsPlus scale.
