Review: Quaker Chewy Chocolate Chunk Granola Bar

Next in line in Quaker's seemingly endless parade of Chewy Bar flavors is the Chocolate Chunk bar.  Clocking in at 90 calories and 0.84 ounces, this is part of the Low Fat line of their Chewy granola bars.  I bought these as part of a 48-count variety pack at Sam's Club, so I can't address an individual price but it's pretty cheap.

Texturally, this bar is made up of Quaker Chewy's standard granola mix with chocolate "chunks" interspersed throughout the bar.  I don't know how they consider them as chunks, because I think they are roughly the same size as the chips that are spread throughout the chocolate chip bar (review coming later).  I guess they are chunks because these are shaped like rectangles, where the chips have the more cylindrical/teardrop shape.  Kindy goofy, but whatever, it's Quaker's choice.

Anyway, this one tastes pretty much like you'd expect.  It's granola with chocolate.  A nice combination, but nothing that's going to cause you to start a blog in order to review it.  I'm reviewing it because I feel the need to be comprehensive and touch on all the flavors offered, but outside of that, there's nothing particularly memorable about this.

Buy It or Fly By It?  Despite the fact that it's not memorable, the taste is appealing, so I would say BUY IT.  You could do worse and you could do better, but there are worse choices in the world and if you occasionally need a semi-healthy chocolate flavored treat to start your day or to get a little snack to survive your morning or afternoon, this one is a good fit.

BUY IT!!
