Review: Atkins Day Break Tex-Mex Scramble
Earlier this year, I got a coupon from Atkins that gave me $1.00 off of one of their frozen products that came with a free bar that I had gotten and reviewed previously. That said, for nine months of this year, I was a vegetarian and since none of their frozen products were meatless, I was kind of out of luck when it came to buying one of them. After nine months, I decided to get back on the meat wagon and that led me to be able to use my coupon to buy this bowl of Atkins Day Break Tex-Mex Scramble on sale at Kroger for $2.99. Each bowl is 7.0 ounces and is 360 calories and 22 grams of protein. What is particularly remarkable about those numbers is that of those 360 calories, 240 of them are from fat! I know some of them are good fat, but still! Also, since this is based on the famous (or infamous) Atkins Diet, this product is marked as good for all phases of the diet plan.

Review: Atkins Day Break Creamy Chocolate Shake
In my mind, a shake is something that is made with ice cream and milk. In Atkins mind, it clearly isn't, especially when you consider that they don't sell these out of the freezer or even the refrigerator at the store. Yes, these are stored at room temperature. Still, based on the fact that I had a positive experience with my last Atkins review and that I'm a glutton for punishment, I was willing to give this "shake" a try when I saw it on sale at Meijer for around $6 for a four pack (I also had a coupon). There were a couple different varieties available, but I had a chocolate craving, so I chose the Creamy Chocolate Shake version of the Day Break line of diet foods. Each shake contains 140 calories and 10 grams of protein, so while it's not going to bust your diet, it's not exactly a "freebie" either.

Review: Atkins Day Break Cherry Pecan Bar
For those of you that don't know, Atkins of Dr. Atkins fame has a daily diet plan where they plan out all your meals/snacks for the day. One of those lines is the "Day Break" line. I signed up for a coupon list a while back and got a coupon for Atkins Day Break bars and when I saw them on sale at Meier for a box of five for $5.50 (plus my $1.00 coupon), I had to make the leap and give them a shot. Each of these Atkins Day Break Cherry Pecan bars is 160 calories and 1.2 ounces.
