So I think we can all agree that if there is a dessert that is closely tied with America, it is Apple Pie. With that, looking at today's review source is moderately amusing to me. It's a classic American dessert matched with a Greek yogurt manufactured by a French company. Huh? Well, I suppose it can be said that this is the United Nations of products. Anyway, today is another Dannon review as I take a look at this multi-cultural single serving cup of Dannon Oikos Traditional Apple Pie Greek Yogurt that I picked up at Kroger for $1.00. It's 5.3 ounces and within that is 170 calories and eleven grams of protein. What is also interesting about this is that the labeling specifically says "With Room For Toppings", so Dannon is definitely encouraging people to doctor this one. I'm not sure whether that is a good or bad sign.
Buy It or Fly By It food reviews from a guy that is a few cards short of a full deck and may need to get some nutrition bar rehab treatment.

Review: Hunt's Snack Pack Bakery Shop Apple Pie A La Mode Pudding
I've shared details of my completely absurd love of all things pudding on this blog before and as I mentioned in my prior Snack Pack reviews, I picked up a few of these special Bakery Shop flavors at Meijer one day and that leads me to the last of that group of purchases with this review of the Hunt's Snack Pack Bakery Shop Apple Pie A La Mode Pudding. Like the others, I got a four pack of these puddings for $1.00 and each pudding cup is 3.25 ounces and contains the calcium of one whole eight ounce glass of milk. In the case of these, each pudding cup comes in at 100 calories.

Review: PR* Bar Apple Pie Bar
I usually try to do a better job of spacing out my reviews of products from the same manufacturers, but since PR* Bar is so obviously a sponsor of the United States Olympic team, I had to manage to squeeze in another review during the time when the Olympics were going on so that I could get some "free" publicity or at least think of an easy way to tie-in an intro to a review. Anyway, like the last bar, I picked up this PR* Bar Apple Pie Bar at Meijer for $1.25. It comes in at 1.76 ounces and has 200 calories with fifteen grams of protein. It's also all natural and gluten free, so it keeps our Olympians healthy. Based on the taste of the last bar, I'm hoping that this one at least keeps our Olympians from going hungry because the last review I did of these was AWFUL and I wouldn't have recommended that anyone eat it.

Review: Larabar Apple Pie Food Bar
This is an emotional review for me. A while back, I went on a major Larabar expedition and bought several of their flavors, all of which you've seen reviewed on this blog. So my quest leads me to the final bar of that purchasing splurge, the Larabar Apple Pie Food Bar flavored fruit and nut food bar. I picked this one up at Meijer for $1.09 and it is the standard Larabar size of 1.6 ounces. In that 1.6 ounces, it packs 190 calories and minimal four grams of protein. So, as I wipe the tears off my keyboard, let's get started with this emotional review to see if Larabar was able to replicate what some may consider the preeminent American classic food. It's also dairy free, soy free, gluten free, vegan and kosher, in case you are into that kind of mumbo jumbo.
