So here we go...time for the last review of the three new Nibblers cookies that Mrs. Fields is releasing to the grocery market. These cookies are bite-sized, fudge dipped and soft-baked, so they've got all sorts of additional deliciousness all wrapped up into their tiny little package. Each box of these Mrs. Fields Peanut Butter Nibblers Cookies is foil wrapped for freshness and within that freshness wrapping, there are fifteen cookies. Each serving is measured out to be two cookies (Who can stop at just two?!) and those servings weigh out to 120 calories.
From a presentation perspective, there's not a lot of great mystery to this. It's a peanut butter cookie that smells and looks exactly like I'd expect a peanut butter cookie to look, albeit with one very minor difference. That cookie is then dipped in fudge and that smells exactly like I'd expect the fudge to smell. The only minor difference is that there were a few peanut butter chips spread throughout the peanut butter cookie, so it was nice knowing that I wouldn't be shorted on that peanut butter flavor. It's a total package of peanut butter and fudge. On paper and appearance, all I can say is yum.
I would say that this tastes pretty much tastes just like I would expect too and that is not a bad thing. The peanut butter cookie tastes just like I'd expect in that it was a mildly sweet peanut butter with a hint of sugar and then the fudge coating adds some additional sweetness and decadence as it melts over that peanut butter cookie mix. One thing that this cookie had going for it is that peanut butter cookies can sometimes tend to get dry and almost stale, but the melting qualities of the fudge coating saved this one from doing that and kept it moist and soft. Outside of that, there's not a whole lot to say here and that can be construed as a positive thing since they only way I'd be saying a lot is if this was not good.
Buy It or Fly By It? Basic recipe and basic presentation, but it delivers as I'd hope and want it to, so that means that it gets a BUY IT rating. If you want a nice mix of peanut butter and fudge, then this is certainly a more than acceptable option and a nice cap to the run of Mrs. Fields grocery products that I received as part of their release. If you see these in your store (it looks like Kroger is the only option now), then do not hesitate to snatch yourself a box.
