Review: Dannon Light & Fit Blueberry Yogurt

It's now time for the final review of the 32 ounce offerings in the Dannon Light & Fit Yogurt product line.  I've already looked at the Vanilla and Strawberry flavors, so let's see how the Blueberry flavor shakes out.  As I've said in my prior reviews, Dannon's Light & Fit line comes in a 32 ounce container consisting of four servings at 110 calories per serving with 0% fat.  Just like the others, I picked this one up at Meijer on sale for $2.00 but they run at about $2.50 when at regular price.

Since I've done it already, I'm not going to spend a lot of time describing the texture and makeup of this yogurt.  What you need to know is that the yogurt has a purplish hue with chunks of blueberry mixed in throughout the container.  Comparing it to the Strawberry flavor, I would say that the fruit chunks are larger in this one and the actual yogurt itself is slightly creamier.  Although, when compared to the Vanilla flavor, it's not as creamy.

In terms of taste, this one is pretty darn solid.  The blueberry flavor, while strong, is not overwhelming.  It actually adds a nice sweet tang to each spoonful as well.  The sizeable blueberry chunks are delightful too and provide some soft "chew" to the creamy coolness of the yogurt.  Once again, comparing this to the Vanilla and Strawberry, I would say that the flavor strength of the blueberry is not as strong as the Vanilla flavoring but much stronger than the mild Strawberry flavoring.

Buy It or Fly By It?  Definitely BUY IT.  Of the three 32 ounce Light & Fit offerings, this one falls squarely in the middle in the rankings and is worth a purchase, especially if you want something that has a little fruit mix-in to it.  I would still rank the Vanilla flavor as the best, but this one is a very solid second place with Strawberry bringing up the rear.  If you do decide to make this one a purchase, you will not regret it.

  1. My name is Michael and I work for Dannon. We're thrilled to know you liked this yogurt and hope you'll continue to enjoy it.

  2. If you can find it, their Carb Control vanilla is pretty good, as well! Thanks, as always, for the reviews!!
