Review: Dannon Oikos Triple Zero Mixed Berry Blended Greek Yogurt

Have I missed some sort of revolt against yogurt companies that people are declaring that they want room to put their own toppings in yogurt cups.  Today's review, another Dannon product, clearly states on the packaging that there is room for toppings in the container.  This isn't the first time that I've seen this from this manufacturer or other manufacturers either.  I know food manufacturing is a follow-the-leader type of game with everyone settling on the same themes, flavors, etc.  Could this room for toppings thing be the next big thing?  I have no idea.  Anyway, I picked up this 5.3 ounce cup of Dannon Oikos Triple Zero Mixed Berry Blended Greek Yogurt at Meijer for $0.88.  It's packed with 120 calories and a surprising fifteen grams of protein, all in a cute nonfat package (with room for toppings!).

Review: Dannon Oikos Triple Zero Coconut Créme Blended Greek Yogurt

As I type this review this morning, I see on Twitter that a Dannon competitor (Yoplait) has had a truck wreck on one of the local Indianapolis interstates and there are countless smashed/spilled cups of Yoplait yogurt spread all over the side of the road.  Seeing that kind of makes me giggle as I type this review.  Anyway, today I embark on another Dannon review as I'm taking a look at a Dannon product line that has been out for a while that I've just been too lazy to get to as I look at this cup of Dannon Oikos Triple Zero Coconut Créme Blended Greek Yogurt.  I picked this up at Meijer in a pretty good sale for $0.88 and each cup is the standard 5.3 ounces.  Within that 5.3 ounces of Greek yogurt is 120 calories and fifteen grams of protein.  Since it is "Triple Zero", that means that it is sugar free, fat free and has no artificial sweeteners.  It's also the official yogurt of the National Football League (home of deflated balls).  Hooray for you if that kind of stuff impacts whether you purchase a product or not.
