Review: Dannon Creamery Milk Chocolate Pudding

I will be the first to say that I would typically stay away from the topic of today's review because it is just something that screams "blah".  I've looked at some of the other new Dannon Creamery products on the blog so far, but those at least had some unique flavors to them and I could explain why I was reviewing those products.  Had it not been for readers steering me toward today's review by saying how delicious Dannon Creamery's pudding products were, I would have never picked up this 5.3 ounces container of Dannon Creamery Milk Chocolate Pudding on sale at Meijer for $1.25.  Each container is 220 calories and Dannon proudly professes this is made with Grade A milk just to make you feel a little better about eating something (pudding) that very much does not have a healthy connotation.

I didn't expect a ton of things to observe prior to opening this and my expectations were correct.  This was just plain old milk chocolate pudding and that's what it looked like.  The only real observations that I have were that this was a particularly creamy pudding, which was nice, and that it had a wonderful and strong smell of milk chocolate coming off of it, which was also quite nice.  For a person that loves chocolate, specifically milk chocolate, the smell was about as enticing of a smell as you can possibly get.  I'm a milk chocolate lover, so I loved that smell.

After dealing the smell, it should come as no surprise that this pudding had a deep, rich and wonderful taste of milk chocolate.  My readers were right...Dannon did a great job with this because this was milk chocolate flavor in all its glory and I could not get enough of this.  Each spoonful was sweet, decadent and chocolate heaven.

Buy It or Fly By It?  Other than to say that the chocolate flavor delivered in wonderful ways, there isn't much else to say here as I wrap up perhaps my shortest review in blog history.  Clearly this gets a BUY IT rating for how delicious it was.  The only negative I can think of here is that it was $1.25 on sale and spending that for just a single serving of pudding seems a little goofy.  But, there aren't many single serving pudding products out there, so I suppose that means that this pasts muster.  Costs issues aside, this was a delicious treat and I'd like to thank my readers for turning me on to this.  They were right...yet again.

BUY IT!!
