Today's review leads me to finally blast through all the Kraft MilkBite flavors with this review of the last of their currently available flavors. I'm sure that will change in the future when they inevitably add more flavors, but for now, this Kraft MilkBite Mixed Berry Milk & Granola Bar review is the end of the line. Like some of the others, I picked up a box of five of these bars at Marsh for $2.50. Each bar is 1.23 ounces and has 140 calories with five grams of protein. It's also got 30% of your daily calcium intake, which is basically the equivalent of an eight ounce glass of milk. I have to admit, that's pretty impressive to pack that much calcium into this smallish bar.
All of these bars look the same. It's a oat and granola mix held together by syrups and honey. Within the granola mix are little white pellets that are the MilkBites and also whatever the flavor add-in of choice happens to be. In this bar, the mix-in is multiple fruits since this is a mixed berry bar. As you can see above, there are quite a bit of dried cranberries and also dried blueberries and I have to admit, that was impressive. Having reviewed some of the fruit add-in MilkBite bars before and see the semi-scarcity of the fruit in those bars, the amount of fruit in this bar was excellent. In terms of smell, the power of both the blueberry and cranberry smells was quite strong, so I was expecting a lot of flavor heading in. Finally, the bar is topped with a vanilla yogurt icing to add more dairy and prettiness to the bar.
My expectations heading in were not quite met because when I bit into this bar, I did get a mix of blueberry and cranberry flavor, but it was not especially strong. It had a slight tang, but it wasn't overly strong and I believe that had a lot to do with the actually milk component of the bar cooling down that tang. Still the flavor was noticeable and the fact that the tang was muted so much, I would almost say that the flavor was pleasing. Not absent, not too strong, just strong enough to let you know what you were eating, but not to knock your socks off.
Buy It or Fly By It? The flavor, while not overwhelming, was strong enough that it made this bar a winner. Like I said, I would classify it as pleasing and its because of that fact that I give this bar a BUY IT rating. Its one of the lesser of the MilkBite bars, but it is still a good one. Now, hopefully this is my last MilkBite review for a while, but I'm sure it won't be as I just know that Kraft will keep churning out flavors.

I don't know why you say these have a vanilla yogurt drizzle. None of the descriptions for these products or even the ingredients mention vanilla...
