Review: Dannon Light & Fit Greek Crunch Strawberry Cheesecake Greek Yogurt

I think it would be great to work at these major manufacturing companies.  I think their Research and Development departments mainly consist of sitting around and looking at their old products and then "developing" new and interesting ways to package them.  It's obvious Dannon is this way because today's review is of something I've reviewed before, albeit with a very slight twist.  With that, I snatched up this 5.0 ounce container of Dannon Light & Fit Greek Crunch Strawberry Cheesecake Greek Yogurt at Kroger for $1.29 and within it are 130 calories and eleven grams of protein.  So, it's definitely light and it's definitely fit.

As both pictures illustrate here, Dannon's surprise on this one was to take their typical Light & Fit Strawberry Cheesecake Greek yogurt and add a new lid to the product that included mix-ins of white chocolate chunks and graham cracker crumbles, essentially so that you could make your own cheesecake out of a yogurt cup.  The yogurt itself smelled strongly of strawberry cheesecake as I'd expect since I'd had this before and while the mix-ins were small, I could definitely smell the graham cracker crumbles and a bit of the white chocolate as well.  Outside of that, all I really had to do here was dump them together and then take an "action" photo for above.

First taking the yogurt, it unsurprisingly did a very good job of emulating strawberry cheesecake flavor.  This is very well done.  Next, I took a taste of the white chocolate chunks and they were exactly as I'd expect...sugary and decadent.  Lastly, it was the graham cracker crumbles and again there were no surprises.  Individually, everything tasted exactly as I would have expected it to.  Mixed together, this was a reasonable approximation of a strawberry cheesecake with the white chocolate and melting component added in.  Basically, it was decadent.

Buy It or Fly By It?  This was Dannon's attempt at a "healthy" strawberry cheesecake in the do-it-yourself fashion and they were quite successful, so they get a BUY IT rating.  This certainly was one of the better yogurt combinations I've had in a while so if you see this "new" product on your grocery store shelves, do not hesitate to grab it out of the cooler.

BUY IT!!
