Review: Dannon Light & Fit Greek Blends Toasted Coconut Vanilla Greek Yogurt

I had mentioned in my last Light & Fit review that these "Blends" line of products had kind of snuck up on me in the store.  Since I had never seen them before and obviously had never tried them because of that, I grabbed several flavors and that binge purchase leads me to today's review of this Dannon Light & Fit Greek Blends Toasted Coconut Greek Yogurt that I also picked up for $1.00 at Walmart.  Each single serving cup is 5.3 ounces and has a modest 80 calories of protein packed (12 grams) Greek yogurt.

As you can see from my photo above, there really is not anything to look at in this except a bunch of creamy and bright white Greek yogurt.  There's not a ton to smell either, although I will admit that it did have mild and pleasing smells of both vanilla and coconut.  So with that very detailed description (ha), I supposed I should dive into the review!

The flavor was just about as uneventful as the appearance, but that should by no means be viewed as any sort of negative.  This yogurt was a three-parter like the last Blends product that I had in that the initial flavor burst was the toasted coconut, followed by the smooth vanilla and then the tartness of Greek yogurt.  It was an alternating taste between sweet and tart that was pretty fun, to be honest.  It wasn't overly complex, but the simplicity of it was a positive in this case.

Buy It or Fly By It?  This was a simple combination, but it was one that delivered with very pleasant flavor that I'll hand a BUY IT rating.  Don't expect to have your socks knocked off by this, but do expect to have a simple and tasty treat.

BUY IT!!

  1. l love the toasted coconut vanilla flavor. Unfortunately, it has not been available at my local Wal Mart or Ingles Grocery store for over a week. Hope they are discontinuing that flavor!
