Review: Health Valley Organic Strawberry Cobbler Multigrain Cereal Bars

Prior to this review, I thought about taking one of my other Healthy Valley reviews, copying it and pasting it into this review after updating all the names and colors.  Basically, I was only expecting a slightly different experience going in when I took a look at these Health Valley Organic Strawberry Cobbler Multigrain Cereal Bars that I picked up on sale at Kroger for $2.00, just like the others.  Each of these bars comes in at 1.3 ounces and has 130 calories with two grams of protein.

Basically the same story here, which is what led me to thinking about copying and pasting an old review.  This is just a standard cereal bar with a dusting of grains on top.  The bar is particularly soft and pliable and is filled with the strawberry filling that you'd expect.  The filling was a bit darker red than I would have expected, but outside of that, it was pretty much strawberry in its smell.

I can't say that there's anything really that different about the flavor of this either.  It's a standard cereal bar with a slight sweet tinge due to the strawberry flavor and also the presence of honey in the mix.  If anything, I'd say that the cereal bar portion almost has a vanilla-like flavor, which I find to be appetizing and something that differentiates these bars from the standard multigrain cereal bar.  Outside of that, the strawberry flavor does no differentiation at all as it's pretty much par for the course compared to all the other products on the market.

Buy It or Fly By It?  This is just a standard cereal bar in that it's not too good and it's not too bad either.  It's just average and giving something average a BUY IT rating seems kind of funny to me, but I'm going to do it anyway.  If you see these in the store and are thinking about buying them, go ahead and do so and you will not be disappointed.  The hook for these bars, as opposed to the Kellogg's variety for example, is that they are organic, so if you are into making those kinds of purchases, this  would be the reason to grab it.
