Review: Walden Farms Sesame Ginger Salad Dressing

In the continuing series of reviews on calorie free Walden Farms products, the next stop on our journey leads us to the Sesame Ginger salad dressing.  Always looking to try new flavors of Walden Farms products and intrigued by the thought of a Sesame Ginger dressing, I picked this one up at Kroger for around $3.75.

As you can tell from the close-up above, this dressing is VERY watery from a texture standpoint.  Also, the texture of this dressing includes an occasional sesame see (those are the two white spots on my spoon), so that shows that they are at least attempting to make this one like a real, full-power Sesame Ginger dressing.

In terms of the taste, all I can say is YUCK.  There's not any initial taste when you try it, but it does hit you on the back end and it is just awful.  Most Walden Farms dressings are heavy on vinegar, but this one tastes like straight vinegar with only a slight sesame flavoring to give it an additional kick.  Frankly, I was upset that I didn't try this before I put it on my salad because I ended up throwing out half the salad due to the disgusting flavor of this.  I just couldn't take it anymore.

Buy It of Fly By It?  If you couldn't tell, definitely FLY BY IT.  Walden Farms has a lot of products and they definitely have some hits and misses with their offerings, so it's pretty obvious that this one falls in the miss column for me.

I won't even consider purchasing this one again and if I wasn't some a cheap miser, I would have thrown out the bottle.  Instead, I'll just keep it in case of emergency if I ever make a salad, have no dressing and want to throw half of it out before the end.

FLY BY IT!!
