Author's Note: Purely a coincidence that this post goes up on the day that the yogurt was due to expire. Pretty funny as that was certainly not my intention. |
My iPhone camera makes this one look more like an off-white color, but that's due to poor lighting and poor picture quality. In reality, this one is a ghost white in appearance. There's not fruit on the bottom either, so this one is all yogurt with the honey and vanilla flavoring mixed into the yogurt. In terms of texture, it's thick and creamy, just like any Greek yogurt. Basically, there's nothing surprising from a visual aspect on this one.
In terms of taste, there's not really a lot of surprises either. It has the tartness of Greek yogurt, but it's not nearly as strong as some of the other Greek yogurts that I've had. This is due to the fact that the tartness is being muzzled by the sweetness of the honey and vanilla flavoring. Of those two though, the only one you can really taste is the vanilla. The honey is there to a faint degree, but the vanilla overpowers this one more than you could imagine. It's a nice flavor, especially if you are vanilla lover, because that's what you are going to taste here.
Buy It or Fly By It? Personally, I would BUY IT. I wouldn't buy it because it is the greatest flavor in the world, but I would buy it because it does a nice job of making Greek yogurt appealing to me for reasons other than the health benefits. I'm not really a big fan of tart yogurt, so any time that flavor can be muzzled, I'm all for it and this Honey Vanilla flavor definitely does that. If you want to start trying Greek yogurt, this is a great "starter" flavor for you to begin with.
BUY IT!! |
try Greek Gods yogurt. I love the Honey flavor. It's the one greek yogurt I really love.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: never heard of that one. Going to have to look for that one. Thanks for reading!
ReplyDeleteIf you read the ingredients, you'll find it contains no honey and no vanilla.
