Review: Quaker Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Granola Bar

Another day, another Chewy bar in the series of reviews.  This time, it's the Oatmeal Raisin flavored granola bar.  This one came as part of a seemingly endless variety box, so I don't have a price that I can attach.  Oatmeal and raisins are two of my most favorite foods (weird, I know), so this is one that would seem to be right in my wheelhouse.

Texturally, this is the standard Quaker Chewy granola bar with large chunks of raisins spread throughout the bar.  Actually, it is a surprising amount of raisins, so this one definitely passes the looks test with flying colors.

Did this one pass the taste test?  Absolutely!  The granola had a very distinct oatmeal flavoring that made it different from the standard Chewy bar granola mix and the large and plentiful raisin chunks added a wonderful dance partner to the outstanding tasting oatmeal mix.  Frankly, this was just like me eating a bowl of oatmeal, except in bar form.

Buy It or Fly By It?  Obviously BUY IT.  The Chewy bar line has a lot of flavor varieties and I would put this in the top three in terms of the flavors they offer.  Depending on the day and how I'm feeling, there are certain times that I would rank this as the best one.  But, since moods change as the days change, I don't want to pin myself down by saying this is the end all, be all.  That said, if you are going to buy some Chewy bars at the store, buy this one.
