I know you can't tell from the flow of reviews on the blog because I keep such a backlog of reviews (at least I did before; that backlog is pretty thin now), but today's review is the first review that I've typed up in over a week and I'm finding it hard to get back into the swing of things as I enjoyed my "vacation" too much. Despite that enjoyment, I was recently strolling through my neighborhood Marsh and I saw something on the shelf that just popped out at me and made me decided "VACATION OVER" as I wanted to give this four pack of JELL-O Fudge Brownie Pudding Snacks a review for the blog. This is a limited edition product that adds to the plethora of JELL-O reviews that I've done already. This four pack set me back $2.39 and each container is an oddly sized 3.875 ounces with 120 calories.
As you can see from the photo above, there is REALLY not a lot to look at in this pudding cup. It's really just chocolate pudding (extremely creamy, by the way) that has a strong chocolate fudge smell. Outside of that, I really can't think of anything else to point out here as it is a particularly bland presentation.
My first spoonful of flavor was semi-interesting. Texture-wise, this pudding was extremely thick and creamy, which was a nice change of pace compared to most of the JELL-O puddings that I eat. After that, it seemed like just basic chocolate flavor until I let it linger in my mouth for a bit and that's when the fudgy brownie flavor kicked in. It was sweet and somewhat rich and it was actually pretty pleasing with it's thick and cooling flavor. It was a lot of chocolate and I'll almost always sign up for anything that brings me a lot of chocolate.
Buy It or Fly By It? Short review as there's not a lot to say about this. It promised fudge brownie flavor and delivered in an appetizing way, so this gets a BUY IT rating. This is a limited edition product and quite honestly, I think it will only be out for a limited period because I just can't see JELL-O making this a permanent part of its rotation since this is basically just a slightly different version of their Double Chocolate pudding that is one of their regular products. That said, if you are a chocolate lover, I strongly suggest picking this one up if you see it out on the shelves in this limited time frame.
