Review: LUNA Protein Berry Greek Yogurt Bar
LUNA was a big start of review in the early days of the blog and over time, I've cranked out seventeen past reviews (as of this writing). Primarily designed for women, I've decreed that it's okay for men to eat them too, thus I happily eat them. A recent trip to Kroger allowed me to discover one of their new (to me) flavors and I snatched up this LUNA Protein Berry Greek Yogurt Bar for $1.25. The bar itself clocks in at 1.59 ounces and 170 calories with twelve grams of protein. It's gluten free for those that are so inclined as well.
Buy camping puffy blankets.

Review: Pure Protein Tropical Fruit Macadamia Nut Fruit & Nut Bar
I've spent a pretty fair amount of time looking at Pure Protein bars on this blog but it has been over eighteen months since I've taken on a review. So when I was absentmindedly bumbling my way through Kroger, I was somewhat surprised to see another new flavor resting on the shelves of the nutrition bar section of the store. Once I got over my mild surprise, I was sure to grab a couple of the new flavors and that leads me to today's review of this Pure Protein Tropical Fruit Macadamia Nut Fruit & Nut Bar that set me back a whole $1.00. It's 1.86 ounces and has 200 calories that are PACKED with eighteen grams of protein (it is a high protein bar after all). It's also gluten free if that is part of your diet.

Review: Food Should Taste Good Hazelnut Sea Salt Real Good Bar
In my first Food Should Taste Good experience, the food did truly taste good. Having your product name describe the experience of what the food should (and did taste) like is pretty well done I would say. So, armed with a first positive experience, I was ready to embark on experience number two as I picked up two bars in my initial shopping spree at Kroger when I grabbed this Food Should Taste Good Hazelnut Sea Salt Real Good Bar for $1.00. The bar itself clocks in at 1.42 ounces and has 220 calories and four grams of protein. Like the last, it's gluten free, Non-GMO and is also made with Fair Trade Cocoa.

Review: Food Should Taste Good Macadamia Chai Real Good Bar
I've said it many times here, yet I'll continue to say it: I love being shocked by finding new products in the aisles at my stores. I've often see chips, popcorn, etc. that's been produce by Food Should Taste Good (hilarious AND true name, by the way), but I've never seen anything of theirs in bar form. That ended this past weekend as I was perusing my local Kroger and stumbled upon this Food Should Taste Good Macadamia Chai Real Good Bar. The bar set me back (not really) a whole $1.00 and it comes in at 1.42 ounces with 220 calories and four grams of protein. It's gluten free, non-GMO and made with Fair Trade certified cocoa if you are interested in that too. I'm not (although I should be), so to each their own.

Review: Mamma Chia Blueberry & Dark Chocolate with Chia Bar
Fresh Thyme has brought me a lot of new and interesting products to review for the blog and I've continuously hammered on those in reviews over the preceding months. Today brings me another one of those reviews as I take a look at this Mamma Chia Blueberry & Dark Chocolate with Chia Bar, which is produced by a manufacturer making its first appearance here on the blog. Their tagline is to "Seed Your Soul" which is a witty play on the fact that the bar is made with chia seeds in case you didn't pick up on that. That chia is also part of a "Chia Vitality Bar" so there's that additional kick of life too. Anyway, I picked this up for $1.99 at the aforementioned Fresh Thyme and it comes in at 1.4 ounces with 180 calories and three grams of protein. It's also gluten free, kosher and organic.

Review: Larabar Strawberry Shortcake Bar
It's been quite a while since the oft-reviewed Larabar has made an appearance here on the blog. It's been since July 2014, in fact, so it's been almost a year. Each time I go to the store, I stroll through the aisles yearning to see a new flavor pop up that I've never tried, but it's been a lonely stroll for quite a while. On a recent stroll, I was very flabbergasted to see TWO new limited edition Larabar products sitting on the shelf at my local Kroger, so I snatched both up for $1.00 each. Today's review of this Larabar Strawberry Shortcake Bar is the first of those reviews. The bar itself clocks in at 1.6 ounces and has 200 calories with three grams of protein. It's also gluten free and vegan, so yahoo there if that is what floats your boat.

Review: Hawaiian Host Macadamia Medley
I sometimes get contacted by completely random companies asking me to try out their products and I would put today's review into that category. It's not often that I've been contacted by candy companies with the request that I review their product, but that is the case today in this review of the Hawaiian Host Macadamia Medley that was sent to me to test out. Each 6.0 ounce box of this medley has fourteen chocolate candies and nutritionally (an oxymoron, perhaps?), three pieces of this candy is roughly the equivalent of 210 calories.

Review: Larabar uber Coconut Macaroon Sweet and Salty Fruit & Nut Bar
I can appreciate a company that continues to spit out new product variations and Larabar is definitely one of those as I've hit on a cornucopia of their product here on the blog in the past. This time, I picked up this Larabar uber Coconut Macaroon Sweet and Salty Fruit & Nut Bar on sale at Kroger for $1.00. The bar comes in at the measureables of 1.42 ounces, 220 calories and four grams of protein. There's obviously also some other numbers in there, but I'm lazy and only want to hit on what I deem to be the high points.

Review: Larabar Uber Roasted Nut Roll Fruit & Nut Bar
While I haven't had a lot of success with Larabar products in general, I have had success with their Uber line of products. With that, I've got to say that I was anxious to dig into this upcoming Uber product because everything about it sounded like a recipe for deliciousness to me. So, that delicious sounding recipe for awesomeness (Uber) leads me to this review of the Larabar Uber Roasted Nut Roll Fruit & Nut Bar that I picked up at Kroger for $1.00. It comes in at 1.42 ounces, is 220 calories and contains only five grams of protein. For a product filled with nuts, that seems like a abnormally low amount of protein to me, but I'm no biochemist, so what the heck do I know?

Review: KIND Plus Walnut Macadamia + Protein with Peanuts Bar
My predisposition to free stuff seems to rear its ugly head most often in reference to KIND products. Of all the KIND reviews I've posted on this blog, I think I've only actually paid for maybe two of them at most. I've gotten the rest of them through KINDING Missions (this one) or via a free add-on to an order that I made on Amazon.com. So, armed with another freebie, I was ready to dive into another KIND review with this KIND Plus Walnut Macadamia + Protein with Peanuts Bar. This bar comes in at 1.4 ounces and has 190 calories and ten grams of protein. It's all natural, gluten free, wheat free, etc.

Review: KIND Plus Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein Bar
So I said in one of my previous KIND reviews that I was going to try to start reviewing more KIND bars as they were one of the major bar manufacturers and the only bars I'd ever reviewed were ones that I had received for free via KINDING Missions on their website. In this effort to increase these reviews, I actually paid for a KIND bar for the first time and this KIND Plus Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein Bar is the result of that. Since I did pay for it, I might as well say that I got it on sale at Kroger for $0.99 and it comes in at 1.4 ounces with a fairly robust (for KIND) 200 calories and also a robust (for KIND) seven grams of protein. It's one of their Plus bars and the plus in this instance is the protein since it has peanut butter and extra nuts.

Review: CLIF Mojo Mixed Nuts Trail Mix Bar
Sometimes I think I write the same intro for some manufacturers with each post that I write, especially with all the CLIF Bar reviews I've done. For example, my CLIF Bar intro seemingly starts out talking about how many products and varieties they have and blah, blah, blah. Well, I'll spare you the full intro this time and just get right down to it on this CLIF Mojo Mixed Nuts Trail Mix Bar. This is the not the first Mojo bar that I've reviewed and I picked this one up at Kroger for $1.00. It's 70% organic, 1.59 ounces, 200 calories and eight grams of protein.

Review: KIND Plus Cranberry Almond + Antioxidants Bar
I've had some success with KIND bar reviews on this blog. I've always found them to be extremely crunchy due to the tasty nut component, but sometimes I find the fruit component of the bar to be questionable. That said, I was interested to try out another one of their flavors, this time from their Plus line of bars called Cranberry Almond + Antioxidants. As usual, I got this through a KINDING Mission, so I didn't pay for it, but it does weigh 1.41 ounces, contain 190 calories and three grams of protein.

Review: LUNA White Chocolate Macadamia Nutrition Bar
I've covered before how I don't think I look like a woman and was duped/bullied into buying these LUNA bars that are specifically made for women, but since I was duped, I might as well finish reviewing my purchases and that leads me to the White Chocolate Macadamia Nutrition bar produced by LUNA (a subsidiary of CLIF, so this fits right in with the theme of the week). This one is 70% organic and weighs in at 1.69 ounces with 190 calories and nine grams of protein. I picked it up on Kroger (from the bully) for $1.00.

Review: CLIF CRUNCH White Chocolate Macadamia Granola Bar
I've reviewed a lot of CLIF products here on the blog (both LUNA and CLIF), but I haven't really gotten outside of their seasonal flavors very often, so that leads me to one of their standard product offerings in the CLIF CRUNCH White Chocolate Macadamia Granola Bar. They bill this as an all natural granola bar and I bought this as part of a five bar box on sale at Kroger for about $4.00. It weighs 1.5 ounces and contains 190 calories with four grams of protein.
