Review: CLIF Organic Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Trail Mix Bar

I went into my local Kroger and while going through the nutrition bar aisle and looking for new products, I noticed what I thought was a whole bunch of new products from CLIF so I snatched up several of them.  When I got home, something about the flavor names seemed strangely familiar to me, so upon doing some research on the blog of old reviews, I was able to discern that CLIF has changed the Mojo product line to just CLIF Organic.  Since I looked at a large variety of Mojo flavors already, I found that most of the bars that I bought were duplicates.  Fortunately, not all was lost though and this CLIF Organic Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Trail Mix Bar is a flavor I hadn't previously reviewed, so here we are today.  This non-duplicate set me back $1.00 (sale price) and it comes in at 1.4 ounces with 200 calories and six grams of protein.

Review: Earnest Eats Almond Trail Mix Baked Whole Food Bar

Sorry folks, but this blog has been a little Fresh Thyme heavy recently.  Unfortunately, that's mostly going to continue for a while because I made a HUGE splurge there and probably will go back again.  The positive is that it's freshened up (get it?) the content a bit here and given me some new products to review.  Today is the second look at an Earnest Eats product as I grabbed this Earnest Eats Almond Trail Mix Baked Whole Food Bar for $1.69.  It's 1.9 ounces and has 210 calories with six grams of protein.  It's also organic, vegan and wheat free.

Review: CLIF Mojo Wild Blueberry Almond Fruit & Nut Trail Mix Bar

If you look at the archives of this blog, I've clearly reviewed a lot of CLIF products on this blog.  Actually, out of the non-major manufacturers (majors are General Mills, Kraft, Kellogg's, etc.), CLIF probably has the most reviews on here.  With that, I find it surprising when I stumble across a flavor from one of their longstanding (at least related to this blog) product lines and that is what led me to somewhat surprisingly find this CLIF Mojo Wild Blueberry Almond Fruit & Nut Trail Mix Bar on the shelves of my local Kroger for $1.25.  It's such a basic flavor combination, so I can't believe I've never reviewed it before.  Anyway, the bar itself is 1.41 ounces and has 160 calories and four grams of protein.

Review: Mariani Trail Mix Honeybar

Every now and then, something will just sneak up on me when I'm not expecting it.  For example, I was recently standing by the deli case at my local Walmart Neighborhood Market and I happened to just glance over to one of the cooler cases nearby and next to it was a wire rack filled with a new kind of snack bar that I had never seen before.  It's placement was odd since it was right by the cheeses and nowhere near the actual snack or nutrition bars that were located in a different section of the store.  Frankly, I would have never thought to look there and Walmart is probably hurting the sales of these by having them in such an odd location.  That said, since I did happen upon them, I grabbed a handful of varieties and today's review of this Mariani Trail Mix Honeybar is the first of one of these reviews.  This bar set me back $1.29 and within the 1.4 ounce bar are 190 calories and six grams of protein.  It's also all natural, cholesterol free, gluten free, vegetarian and wheat free, so it's got a lot of healthy characteristics going for it.

Review: CLIF Mojo Dark Chocolate Cherry Almond Trail Mix Bar

The invasion of new CLIF reviews from the Mojo product line continues today!  Yippee!  Today's review comes from the same shopping splurge as the prior reviews as I was able to pick up this CLIF Mojo Dark Chocolate Cherry Almond Trail Mix Bar on sale at Kroger for $1.00, just like the others.  This gluten free and somewhat organic bar clocks in at 1.41 ounces with 180 calories and for grams of protein.  It's got that dark chocolate thing going for it too, so if you are looking for antioxidants, this presents itself as an option.

Review: 180 Snacks Cranberry Pomegranate Trail Mix Crunch

The delightful and magical time known as company-provided snack time it me again at the office recently and the treat of choice on this day was this single serving size bag of 180 Snacks Cranberry Pomegranate Trail Mix Crunch.  I'm sure the company picked this up as part of a megabox from Costco or some wholesaler, so I don't have a price.  What I do have is that this bag came in at 1.25 ounces and had 150 calories per serving.  In a tricky math switcheroo, this 1.25 ounce bag was actually 1.25 servings.  That means that the bag was roughly 188 calories.  I've obviously seen packaging with multiple servings before, I don't think I've ever seen something this small packaged so specially with multiple servings before.  There's a first time for everything, I guess.

Review: CLIF Sierra Trail Mix Bar

I make no secret of the fact that I love to sign up for free samples online and the source of today's review is one of those instances.  In this case, I saw a source for another CLIF review being given away via CLIF's Facebook page.  Like the reliability of death and taxes, this CLIF Sierra Trail Mix Bar checks in at the standard CLIF weight of 2.4 ounces.  It also comes in with 250 calories and ten grams of protein.  This is a new product offering to their standard line of bars and CLIF is obviously trying to get the word out via a freebie giveaway on this one, so I'd be remiss if I did not oblige them (and my hunger) with this review.

Review: CLIF Mojo Chocolate Almond Coconut Fudge Sweet & Salty Trail Mix Bar

Another day, another CLIF bar.  That's not the case, but CLIF has so many products that it just seems that way.  To me, they seem like the creme de la creme of the energy bar world...multiple flavors, multiple product lines, big publicity, etc.  They are just everywhere and have been everywhere all over this blog with reviews.  Today, I've got another review and this time is their CLIF Mojo Chocolate Almond Coconut Fudge Sweet & Salty Trail Mix Bar that I picked up on sale at Kroger for $1.00.  It's 1.59 ounces and comes in at 200 calories with eight grams of protein.

Review: Fiber One Trail Mix Chewy Bar

After having done so many reviews of Fiber One products in a short time period, I'm starting to get bored with them.  Still, like I have said dozens of times before on this blog, I'm trying to be comprehensive, so every time I see a new product in the store, I grab it so that I can do a review.  It's that quest that leads me to this review of the Fiber One Trail Mix Chewy Bar, which is apparently so new that it doesn't even have its own page on the Fiber One website yet.  A box of five of these bars set me back $3.00 at Meijer and each bar is 1.35 ounces with 130 calories and two grams of protein.  It's also 35% of your daily fiber intake, so it truly is my one for fiber (like that play on words?).

Review: CLIF Mojo Peanut Butter Pretzel Sweet & Salty Trail Mix Bar

I was just looking through the CLIF bar review archives here on the blog and just say that I haven't reviewed a CLIF Mojo bar since July 2012.  It's not like I've been avoiding them, but I just haven't seen any different flavors available in my stores until recently when I saw two different flavors available and snatched them up for some long absent Mojo reviews.  First up is this CLIF Mojo Peanut Butter Pretzel Sweet & Salty Trail Mix Bar that I picked up at Kroger on sale for $1.00.  It weighs 1.6 ounces, has 190 calories and nine grams of protein.  It's also 70% organic, so all you tree huggers out there can feel warm and fuzzy about this one.

Review: Nature Valley Chewy Trail Mix Cranberry & Pomegranate Bar

I'm beginning to think that the person responsible for buying the snacks for snack time in my office has stock in General Mills and is trying to get us addicted to their products by putting out snacks such as this Nature Valley Chew Trail Mix Cranberry & Pomegranate Bar to add to my collection of Nature Valley reviews.  I've already mentioned that I didn't pay for this, so I don't have a price, but what I do know is that this bar is 1.1 ounces and has 130 calories with a barely there two grams of protein.  It's a snack bar though and not a protein bar, so I guess I shouldn't be so derogatory when describing the protein level.  My bad.

Review: CLIF Mojo Mixed Nuts Trail Mix Bar

Sometimes I think I write the same intro for some manufacturers with each post that I write, especially with all the CLIF Bar reviews I've done.  For example, my CLIF Bar intro seemingly starts out talking about how many products and varieties they have and blah, blah, blah.  Well, I'll spare you the full intro this time and just get right down to it on this CLIF Mojo Mixed Nuts Trail Mix Bar.  This is the not the first Mojo bar that I've reviewed and I picked this one up at Kroger for $1.00.  It's 70% organic, 1.59 ounces, 200 calories and eight grams of protein.

Review: CLIF Mojo Mountain Mix Trail Mix Bar

I think I've said this before on the blog, but I'll say it again:  I LOVE trail mix and when I'm at a place that has trail mix at an open bowl, I always find a way to gravitate toward it and eat it non-stop, no matter how hard I try to avoid it.  That said, CLIF's Mojo Trail Mix bars are right up my alley.  I've already reviewed one of the bars, so I'm now led to the Mountain Mix flavor of one of their trail mix bars.  Why the name Mountain Mix?  Heaven (and CLIF) only knows.  Maybe they want you to throw this in your pack before you go for a climb.  The bar is 70% organic and consist of all the nuts, fruits, etc. that you'd expect to find in trail mix (depending on the mix).  I picked this one up on sale at Kroger for $1.00 and it's 1.59 ounces with 190 calories and eight grams of protein.

Review: CLIF Mojo Dipped Chocolate Peanut Trail Mix Bar

CLIF has a seemingly endless amount of product lines.  Original energy bars, protein bars, trail mix bars, women's bars, etc.  Since I'm the type of guy that likes to cover everything, it's time to try out on of their sweet and salty Mojo Trail Mix bars.  They even have different varieties of their Mojo bars as they have the regular bars and also the dipped bars. For these purposes, I tried out one of the dipped bars and got the Dipped Chocolate Peanut variety.  It was on sale at Kroger for $1.00 and weighs in at a semi-smallish 1.59 ounces with 200 calories and eight grams of protein.

Review: Nature Valley Chewy Trail Mix Fruit & Nut Bar

As if you couldn't tell already, I eat a lot of these granola and/or snack bars.  It's not just because of the blog either...I ate a lot of these varieties in my pre-blog days, but since I felt that other people might want to know what each bar tastes like or if it is any good, I started this blog.  Anyway, this leg of my granola/snack bar adventure was imparted on my by my mother who gave me a box of these Nature Valley Chew Trail Mix Fruit & Nut bars that she got in a 48 pack at Costco because she was not a big fan (I will go into why later).  Just because she's not a big fan doesn't mean that I wouldn't be a big fan and being that I love trail mix to begin with, let's see how this one turns out.
