Review: Curate Indulgent Dark Chocolate & Hazelnuts Bar
Another day in the books for me, which means its time for me to curate another review. Like that brilliant introduction/segue into this review? Yeah, it's incredibly lame. Anyway, I was able to pick up another one of these Curate bars at Kroger for about $1.79 and since it really is another day, that means it is time for another review. This time it's the Curate Indulgent Dark Chocolate & Hazelnuts Bar. This bar clocks in at 1.59 ounces and packs 200 calories and six grams of protein into that package. It's also gluten free if that is your thing and you are interested.

Review: Nature's Path Organic Qi'a Roasted Peanut Dark Chocolate Bar
I know some people might view this as odd, but I often find it kind of soothing and therapeutic to wander through the grocery store aimlessly just looking at all the products on the shelves. You find new stuff, you see variety and it's a great way to pass the time as you definitely have to be in no hurry to get anything done. I recently was doing that at my local Meijer when I stumbled upon something brand new in this Nature's Path Organic Qi'a Roasted Peanut Dark Chocolate Bar. It's not my first Nature's Path review, but it is the first time I've seen one of these Qi'a bars. So, I quickly snatched it up for about $1.50 and here we are. The bar itself is 1.3 ounces and packs in 190 calories and five grams of protein. It's also gluten free, organic, vegan and ALSO a superfood. It's got tons and tons of stuff going on.

Review: Zone Perfect Perfectly Simple Pumpkin Chai Bar
As I've lamented on the blog, it's that time of year for pumpkin-flavored products and why shouldn't Zone Perfect add to their review collection with a pumpkin-flavored product too? It's only fitting since everyone else is doing it. So, I saw this limited edition Zone Perfect Perfectly Simple Pumpkin Chai Bar on sale at my local Kroger for $1.00 and snatched it up to once again be over pumpkined. This bar comes in at 1.41 ounces and has 180 calories with ten grams of protein. It's also gluten free, so there's that going for it too (besides its seasonality).

Review: Mamma Chia Blueberry & Dark Chocolate with Chia Bar
Fresh Thyme has brought me a lot of new and interesting products to review for the blog and I've continuously hammered on those in reviews over the preceding months. Today brings me another one of those reviews as I take a look at this Mamma Chia Blueberry & Dark Chocolate with Chia Bar, which is produced by a manufacturer making its first appearance here on the blog. Their tagline is to "Seed Your Soul" which is a witty play on the fact that the bar is made with chia seeds in case you didn't pick up on that. That chia is also part of a "Chia Vitality Bar" so there's that additional kick of life too. Anyway, I picked this up for $1.99 at the aforementioned Fresh Thyme and it comes in at 1.4 ounces with 180 calories and three grams of protein. It's also gluten free, kosher and organic.

Review: Stonyfield Organic Greek and Chia Blueberry Greek Yogurt
I'm starting to run thin on reviews and because of that, I'm reviewing a lot of manufacturers in the same week. I try to stay away from doing that unless there is some sort of theme going on, but desperate times call for desperate measures and that leads me to another Stonyfield Organic review as I'm once again taking a look at one of their new products with this review of the Stonyfield Organic Greek and Chia Blueberry Greek Yogurt that I picked up at Kroger for $1.25. The cup itself is 5.3 ounces and within that are 140 calories and twelve gram of protein. It's organic, gluten free and kosher and all that fun stuff too.

Review: Stonyfield Organic Greek and Chia Blood Orange Greek Yogurt
I don't spend a ton of time in the organic section at the store, although I probably should. Also, while I've reviewed a ton of yogurts on this blog, I haven't reviewed a ton of Stonyfield Organic yogurts because of what I just mentioned. That said, I did go through the organic section of my local Kroger recently and I found this single serving cup of Stonyfield Organic Greek and Chia Blood Orange Greek Yogurt which is a new product line for them. The thought of blood orange mixed in a Greek yogurt also intrigued me, so while I picked up a couple of these at $1.25 each for reviews, I'm taking a look at this one first because of that level of intrigue. One more thing before I get into the math of this yogurt cup...is chia the next big food thing? I seem to see a lot of products proudly displaying they include chia now. Hmm. Anyway, this 5.3 ounce cup of Greek yogurt is 130 calories and includes a fairly robust twelve grams of protein. It's obviously organic, but it's also gluten free and kosher.

Review: Wholesome Goodness Apple Cinnamon Omega Granola Bar
My mother tells me that I'm supposed to have some wholesomeness and goodness in my life. If that's true, what better way to get that in my life (and my belly) is there than to eat a bar with both of those things in the name? I really can't see a better way, can you? Yes, that is a really horrible introduction, but hey, sometimes it's tough to write something witty (or even remotely passable) every single time. Anyway, this isn't the first time I've tried to get both of those things in me since I've reviewed Wholesome Goodness previously, but today's review is another variety out of their product offering with this look at the Wholesome Goodness Apple Cinnamon Omega Granola Bar that I was able to pick up for $1.49 at my local Marsh. Each bar is 1.4 ounces and has 160 calories and three grams of protein.

Review: Wholesome Goodness Cranberry Omega Granola Bar
It's another new manufacturer! I always love it when I stumble upon something new in my usual stores because I sometimes worry that I'm going to run out of things that I can or want to review for this blog. In the back of my head, I know that would never be a problem, but I worry because that's just the type of person that I am. Anyway, today's new product is a Wholesome Goodness Cranberry Omega Granola Bar that I picked up at Marsh for $1.29. It's 1.4 ounces and has 160 calories and three grams of protein. As the name would imply, it's good for Omega fats too, so hooray I guess.

Review: Slow Food For Fast Lives California Bar
I've taken a look at three Slow Food For Fast Lives products so far on the blog and while two of them were oddly appealing, the third was a big miss. I mentioned in that third review that I was terrified to review that product because it was so weird but I was even more terrified to review today's Slow Food For Fast Lives California Bar. Just look at the ingredients on the wrapper...not exactly things that you typically think of in a snack bar and unless you are a vegetarian or a health nut, you rarely think about most of those ingredients in the first places. Still, they were kind enough to send me free samples, so despite my perceived terror, I knew I still needed to review this bar. For the purposes of the hard numbers, this one comes in at 1.4 ounces and has 140 calories and five grams of protein. It's also all natural, gluten free and all that kind of fun stuff too.

Review: Bakery On Main Truebar I'm An Apricot Almond Chai Bar With Nothing to Hide
There's something to be said about not hiding anything. I mean, look at Richard Nixon. Had he not conspired to hide The Watergate break-in, perhaps he would have never had to resign the presidency in disgrace. On the other hand, hiding in a giant wooden horse allowed the Trojans to beat Sparta in ancient times. So, is there really a right answer? I don't know but apparently Bakery On Main feels that hiding is a bad thing as I've got another review from their Truebar product line that lays it all out there for the world to see with this Bakery On Main Truebar I'm An Apricot Almond Chai Bar With Nothing to Hide. I got this bar for $1.99 at Marsh and it comes in at 1.40 ounces and has 160 calories and three grams of protein.

Review: Bakery on Main Truebar I'm A Coconut Cashew Bar With Nothing To Hide
Bakery on Main likes to be cute with their product names and packaging and I pointed that out in my prior review. Well, that cuteness continues today as I take a look at another one of their bars that I picked up in my new grocery section splurge at my nearby Marsh Supermarket for $1.99. This Bakery on Main Truebar I'm A Coconut Cashew Bar With Nothing To Hide comes in at 1.40 ounces and has 190 calories and three grams of protein.

Review: Bakery On Main Truebar I'm A Fruit & Nut Bar With Nothing To Hide
If there were an award for products getting cute with their names, an obvious entrant would be Ben & Jerry's with the names of their ice cream flavors. The subject of today's review is another one of those as it tried to get really, really cute with it's name and in a semi-amusing way, I think it worked since this Bakery On Main Truebar I'm A Fruit & Nut Bar With Nothing To Hide bar is in both clear (revealing) packaging and is also not coated at all (also revealing). Well done, I suppose. Anyway, I picked this up at Marsh for $1.99 and the bar very revealing bar comes in at 1.4 ounces with 170 calories and three grams of protein.

Review: Kashi Chocolate Almond & Sea Salt with Chia Chewy Granola Bars
Today's review brings a bit of entertainment to me as I get to add another review to perhaps the most tortured review catalog on this blog. Good products, horrible product, mediocre products...Kashi has had them all. Their surprisingly large (to me) catalog of reviews have no consistency, so it's that unpredictable nature that makes this review of this Kashi Chocolate Almond & Sea Salt with Chia Chewy Granola Bars a bit exciting heading in. I picked up a box of six of these all natural bars at Kroger for $2.75 and each bar in the box weighs in at 1.2 ounces with 140 calories and six grams of protein. For such a small bar, that's a surprising amount of protein to me, but I'm sure it's because of the inclusion of the almonds.

Review: Kashi Berry Lemonade with Chia Chewy Granola Bars
Kashi released the subject of today's review a few months back, but since I'm so tight fisted and cheap, I've resisted buying a box of these because I did not want to pay full price just to add another review to the Kashi catalog. Recently on a trip to Meijer though, they had a box of six of these for sale at a decent enough price for me ($3.00) that I decided to pick it up and try out this "new" flavor of Kashi Berry Lemonade with Chia Chewy Granola Bars. Like I said, there are six bars in the box and each bar is 1.2 ounces and 120 calories with six grams of protein.

Review: Chobani flip Blueberry Power Greek Yogurt
I've hit on these Chobani flip products before and thankfully, I've had more hits than misses. Hoping to continue that trend, I grabbed another one of these when they were on sale for $1.00 at my local Kroger and that leads me to today's review of this Chobani flip Blueberry Power Greek Yogurt. This all natural combination of yogurt is 5.3 ounces and comes in with 190 calories and thirteen grams of protein.

Review: Pure Fitness Nutrition Krave Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch Protein Bar
Pure Fitness Nutrition was generous enough to send me some bars to sample and while its difficult to look a gift horse in the mouth, I had to give the last review a negative rating due to the fact that while the concept of the bar was exciting, the flavor was just boring. In the case of today's review, I'm hoping it is the exact opposite. Peanut butter and chocolate is a pretty standard flavor combination these days (thus the boredom), so I'm hoping that this Pure Fitness Nutrition Krave Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch Protein Bar can deliver more flavor punch than the actual the standard flavor recipe. The bar itself is 2.50 ounces and comes in with a hearty 254 calories and twenty grams of protein. It's also all natural, soy free and heavy on fiber, so there's a lot of added benefits to this bar as well which is nice.

Review: Pure Fitness Nutrition Krave Peanut Butter Jelly Crunch Protein Bar
Pure Fitness is a manufacturer that reached out to me as a way to market their new line of protein bars. With that outreach, they sent me a couple of bars to try out and today's review is the first of those two. This Pure Fitness Nutrition Krave Peanut Butter Jelly Crunch Protein Bar is modeled after a childhood favorite food of mine, so it had to be the first of the two bars that I tried out because I was so intrigued by how they would transform one of my favorites into a protein bar, although the sandwiches of my childhood mostly used grape jelly, but this one is instead modeled after strawberry jelly. Before I dive into the review, this bar's essentials are it is 2.5 ounces, has 242 calories with twenty grams of protein and is also all natural.

Review: Better Oats Oat revolution! Apple Crisp Chewy Granola Bar
Erroneously or not, I always consider Quaker Chewy bars to be the market leader in snack size granola bars and end up comparing everything to them. I did that in my first Better Oats review and I'll be doing the same here when I take a look at this Better Oats Oat revolution! Apple Crisp Chewy Granola bar, which as I learned from Better Oats via Twitter after my last review, is part of a "top secret" test of new granola bar products and are only available in certain markets. Quaker Chewy has a similar flavor to this in its Target-exclusive School Days line, but it's not part of the standard line of bars that you would find at most grocery stores. I picked this up at snack time at work, so I don't have a particular cost to attach to it, but I do know it is 1.23 ounces, has 130 calories and is made with chia. Every time I see that ingredient, I think of the awesome Chia Pet, which has no relevance to this review at all. Anyway, I digress...

Review: Caveman Nuts Almond Cashew Bar
On very rare occasions, I actually laugh out loud when I'm walking through the grocery store looking at the products on the shelves. Usually it's about products that celebrities/athletes endorse (Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander's cereal "Fastball Flakes" are my favorite), but on a rare occasion, it's about a product that is actually trying to be serious in its marketing with this Caveman Nuts Almond Cashew Bar that I laughably found on the shelves of Meijer for $1.29. This pre-historic (like the tie-in? I'm so creative...not) bar weighs in at 1.4 ounces, has 210 calories and six grams of protein.

Review: Better Oats Oat revolution! Peanut Butter Chocolate Chewy Granola Bar
Today's review is another review spurred on by the snack time fairy here at the office. Since there are so many of us, the snack time purchasers often buy huge boxes of particular snack bars and that's the case with this Better Oats Oat revolution! Peanut Butter Chocolate Chewy Granola Bar that was part of a giant box of multiple flavors, some of which you'll see here in the future. These are apparently a secret product because Better Oats does not mention them on their website and there's very little mention of them on the web, but what I was able to glean from the box is that these are 1.23 ounces and 140 calories each. They are also not for individual resale, so the snack people here better not get any tricky ideas unless they want to run afoul of the law.
