Review: Van's Natural Foods PB&J Blueberry and Peanut Butter Sandwich Bars
I've mentioned in every previous Van's Natural Foods review that they were gracious enough to send me some free samples and in my very first review, I took a look at a product that emulated the chosen sandwich of my youth (and also maybe my adulthood as well). They sent two different variations and today's review of this box of Van's Natural Foods PB&J Blueberry and Peanut Butter Sandwich Bars is the other variation. There's five bars per box and each bar is 1.40 ounces and 160 calories with four grams of protein.

Review: Van's Natural Foods PB&J Strawberry and Peanut Butter Sandwich Bars
I've been on a hot streak with free samples recently and today's review continues that as a representative of Van's Natural Foods reached out to me and graciously sent me a box full of free samples. As I was unpacking the box, I pulled this box of Van's Natural Foods PB&J Strawberry and Peanut Butter Sandwich Bars out of the box first and after seeing the name, I was like "uhh...YES!" Anything that resembles the romantic sandwich of my youth automatically gets an instant review (much to my delight, there was another PB&J product in the box too, so that one will be forthcoming). Anyway, this box consisted of five bars and each bar is 1.4 ounces and 160 calories and three grams of protein. As you can see on the box, these are made with real peanut butter as well, so YUMMY!

Review: Supreme Protein Peanut Butter & Jelly Protein Bar
I've romanticized about my love of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches here on the blog before. As a child, they were a staple of my diet and that's probably the case for a lot of children. I still enjoy destroying them too, so anytime I see a product emulating them, I'm immediately interested. I was making an extremely rare trip to GNC recently and I saw this Supreme Protein Peanut Butter & Jelly Protein Bar sitting right next to the register in hopes of getting someone to make an impulse buy. Well, guess what? I fell victim to the impulse buy urge and picked this one up on sale for $1.25. The bar itself is 1.75 ounces and has a fairly economical 200 calories packed with fifteen grams of protein.

Review: Pure Fitness Nutrition Krave Peanut Butter Jelly Crunch Protein Bar
Pure Fitness is a manufacturer that reached out to me as a way to market their new line of protein bars. With that outreach, they sent me a couple of bars to try out and today's review is the first of those two. This Pure Fitness Nutrition Krave Peanut Butter Jelly Crunch Protein Bar is modeled after a childhood favorite food of mine, so it had to be the first of the two bars that I tried out because I was so intrigued by how they would transform one of my favorites into a protein bar, although the sandwiches of my childhood mostly used grape jelly, but this one is instead modeled after strawberry jelly. Before I dive into the review, this bar's essentials are it is 2.5 ounces, has 242 calories with twenty grams of protein and is also all natural.

Review: Fiber One Strawberry PB&J Chewy Bar
A common memory of nearly everyone's childhoods are eating countless peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The only thing that may have differed from some people's memories are the flavors of jelly that they used on their sandwiches. In my house, it was always grape. In some houses though, strawberry sometimes made it into the equation. It's that peanut butter and strawberry combination that Fiber One is trying to re-create with this Fiber One Strawberry PB&J Chewy Bar that adds to my growing Fiber One review series. I picked up a box of six of these at Kroger on sale for $2.99 and each bar in the box is one ounces and 110 calories with two grams of protein. Each bar also contains 10% of your daily calcium intake and 20% of your daily fiber intake (based on a 2,000 calorie diet), so it's packing quite a powerful punch.

Review: JELL-O Strawberry Cheesecake Pudding Snack
I've had a lot of previous JELL-O reviews on this blog and as I've said, I'm kind of addicted to their pudding cups. I mostly try to stick to the the sugar free or Mousse Temptations versions of JELL-O, so I could at least claim that they were "healthy", but I've also done some of the other flavors that do have sugar in them, so that argument kind of goes out the window. Since I've lost my "healthy" argument with my prior behavior, I might as well drive right into the unhealthy realm with this next review of a full-on dessert and a dessert that resembles one of the most decadent desserts out there, Strawberry Cheesecake. This one contains 130 calories per four ounce cup and I picked up the package of six cups on sale at Meijer for $2.50.

Review: Larabar Peanut Butter & Jelly Food Bar
If you take a look at the Larabar products website, you will see that they have A LOT of different flavors. Maybe someday I'll try them all out for this blog, but today I'll just stick with this one, the Peanut Butter & Jelly bar. Now, everyone (I hope) knows what a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is and studies show that the average person has probably eaten about a 1,500 of them by the time they graduate high school. I know I ate about one a day as a kid, so needless to say, I have a little experience eating them. Since I hold them in such high esteem, I had big expectations leading up to trying out this bar. So, before we start the review, let's get the hard facts out of the way: this one has 210 calories, 6 grams of protein, weighs in at 1.7 ounces and I picked it up on sale at Kroger for $0.99.
