So I was in Kroger recently and noticed that a new brand of bars had crept onto the shelves. What I also noticed about these bars is that they proudly profess on the wrapper that they are made with joy (it is a harmonious blend after all!). The cynic in me just wants to eat that up and destroy them for it, but I'll try to keep this intro as positive as possible against all urges and just dive right in to this review of the Curate Harmonious Blend Marcona Almond & Apricot Bar that I was able to grab for $1.79 (I think). It's 1.59 ounces and within that are 190 calories and six grams of protein. It's also gluten and soy free.
Buy It or Fly By It food reviews from a guy that is a few cards short of a full deck and may need to get some nutrition bar rehab treatment.

Review: That's it. Apple + Apricot Bar
I've finally run out of That's it. samples that I've been repeatedly drilling for reviews. While not the most glamorous of all bars, they've certainly done the job so far and it is with that positive attitude that I head into this final review of the That's it. Apple + Apricot Bar. Like the other diminutive bars, this one only clocks in at 1.2 ounces and has a pittance of calorie count in that it only registers at 100 calories. The protein is also a pittance as it has a lonely single gram of protein. The bar itself is also all natural, gluten free, kosher, raw and vegan.

Review: Mediterra Yogurt & Oat Bar with Apricot & Pistachio
I'm trying to steadily plow through my last few purchases from my Fresh Thyme shopping splurge a while back and as I work my way though, I'll be hitting on another Mediterra review today. I had some nice success with them in my first review, so I was anxious to dive into this Mediterra Yogurt & Oat Bar with Apricot & Pistachio that I picked up for $1.99. The bar itself is 1.6 ounces, 180 calories and has seven grams of protein packed in. It's all natural and gluten free, so it does have those healthy taglines slapped onto it as well.

Review: Go Raw Real Live Apricot Bar
Who doesn't like to Go Raw from time to time? I mean, nothing feels better than having a cool breeze on the ol' bare skin. I'm just going to stop there before this turns into a late night Cinemax movie. Plus, I don't want to scare away any readers. Anyway, as part of my many time aforementioned Fresh Thyme trip, I picked up this Go Raw Real Live Apricot Bar for $0.99 to add to the growing Go Raw product review collection. Like the last bar, this one clocks in at a measly 0.46 ounces and also packs a tiny 50 calories with one gram of protein. It's all natural, gluten free, nut free, organic and wheat free as well. Long story short...it's RAW and REAL.

Review: Mariani Cranberry Honeybar
It seems like I've been hitting our friend to the north up for a lot of reviews recently. As I came to do today's review, I noticed that Mariani is a Canadian company, so that trend continues as I take a look at them once again with this review of the Mariani Cranberry Honeybar that I was able to pick up at the Walmart Neighborhood Market for $1.29. The bar itself is 1.4 ounces with 180 calories and five grams of protein. It's also packed with all sorts of healthy characteristics as it's also all natural, gluten free, vegetarian and wheat free.

Review: Chobani Apricot on the Bottom 2% Greek Yogurt
Perhaps I'm blind, but I've never noticed a Chobani product before that has the fruit on the bottom so blatantly advertised and heaven knows that I've reviewed a lot of them. So, having never noticed that before (or perhaps it's new?), I picked up my first look at one of these types of products at Kroger recently on sale for $1.00. This 5.3 ounce cup of Chobani Apricot on the Bottom 2% Greek Yogurt comes in at 140 calories and has a hearty eleven grams of protein. It's also all natural, gluten free and kosher, if those are things that you are looking for when shopping for food products.

Review: Bakery On Main Truebar I'm An Apricot Almond Chai Bar With Nothing to Hide
There's something to be said about not hiding anything. I mean, look at Richard Nixon. Had he not conspired to hide The Watergate break-in, perhaps he would have never had to resign the presidency in disgrace. On the other hand, hiding in a giant wooden horse allowed the Trojans to beat Sparta in ancient times. So, is there really a right answer? I don't know but apparently Bakery On Main feels that hiding is a bad thing as I've got another review from their Truebar product line that lays it all out there for the world to see with this Bakery On Main Truebar I'm An Apricot Almond Chai Bar With Nothing to Hide. I got this bar for $1.99 at Marsh and it comes in at 1.40 ounces and has 160 calories and three grams of protein.

Review: Sage Valley Mixed Nuts & Fruit Honey Bar
As I was scouring the internet trying to find some sort of digital information about Sage Valley products after my last review, I noticed on the back that Sage Valley products are distributed by Kehe Foods. That's just a normal food distributor for 99.9% of the world, but I have a friend that worked for Kehe Foods for over a decade and as thank you present one year, they gave him a home theater system. When we looked up how much the home theater system cost at a retail level, it came to $40 which immediately caused us to burst into laughter at the thought of a company thanking someone for ten years of hard service by only giving them $40. LOL. That story probably means nothing to anyone, but hey, it's my blog and my creative platform. Anyway, I picked up this Kehe-distributed Sage Valley Mixed Nuts & Fruit Honey Bar at Marsh for $1.99 and each bar is 1.4 ounces with 160 calories and three grams of protein.

Review: Dannon Oikos Fruit on the Bottom Apricot Mango Greek Yogurt
I mentioned in two prior Dannon Oikos reviews that I went on a purchase binge at my local Marsh and purchased a trio of Oikos products for review. The first two reviews were of the Traditional Greek yogurt variety, but today's is of the "Fruit on the Bottom" variety, so it's a little different. Anyway, I grabbed this single serving cup of Dannon Oikos Fruit on the Bottom Apricot Mango Greek Yogurt at the same sale price of $1.00 just like the others and each cup is 5.3 ounces with 130 calories and twelve grams of protein. It's also non-fat, so that's fun.

Review: Caveman Cranberry Apricot Bar
I love the name of these Caveman Foods bars and each time I do a review on them, it makes me chuckle. I also love that they are "paleo friendly" and by being that, they are definitely sticking to the caveman motif that the name of the bar is obviously inferring. So, with a smile on my face, I decided now would be as good of a time as ever to review this Caveman Cranberry Apricot Bar that I picked up on sale at Meijer for $0.75. The bar itself is 1.4 ounces and has 190 calories with five grams of protein.

Review: KIND Almonds & Apricots in Yogurt Fruit & Nut Bar
I've had some decent success with KIND bars on the blog, most of which I've received as a result of a KINDING Mission. Today's review is no different as I once again picked up a bar via one of those missions and that leads me to this KIND Almonds & Apricots in Yogurt Fruit & Nut Bar. I was a bit apprehensive to try this one out because I've generally not been a big fan of apricots throughout my life, but hey, when something is free, I feel obligated to try it. This bar is 1.6 ounces and has 220 calories with three grams of protein. It's also all natural, gluten free, wheat free, etc., so it's got a lot of positive characteristics going for it, which is not surprising since it is the product of a very generous and aware company.

Review: KIND Fruit & Nut Delight Fruit & Nut Bar
If you haven't figured it out from reading this blog before (if you are a regular reader), I love nuts. No, not that kind of nuts and please get your mind out of the gutter. This is a family friendly blog. I love nuts like peanuts, almonds, cashews, etc. (although peanuts are not technically a nut, but instead a legume), but surprisingly am not a fan of walnuts. Anyway, any time I come across an energy/protein/nutrition bar that includes nuts, it is right up my alley and that's what leads me to this KIND Fruit & Nut Delight bar. Well, that's not entirely what leads me to it...KIND has monthly "KINDING Missions" where they pass out free bars to fans if you give them your e-mail address (follow the link and join the movement yourself to get a free bar). Being that I have many different e-mail addresses, I always end up getting at least one of these every few months and that's how I got my hands on this one. If you were to purchase this at the store though, it would probably run in the range of $1.00-$1.50. As for the pinup model measurements of this one, it's 1.4 ounces and packs 180 calories and a minimal five grams of protein. So, it's not a protein bar and it's not an energy bar, so that basically leaves this one out there as a nutrition or snack bar.
