Review: That's it. Apple + Apricot Bar

I've finally run out of That's it. samples that I've been repeatedly drilling for reviews.  While not the most glamorous of all bars, they've certainly done the job so far and it is with that positive attitude that I head into this final review of the That's it. Apple + Apricot Bar.  Like the other diminutive bars, this one only clocks in at 1.2 ounces and has a pittance of calorie count in that it only registers at 100 calories.  The protein is also a pittance as it has a lonely single gram of protein.  The bar itself is also all natural, gluten free, kosher, raw and vegan.

Review: That's it. Apple + Cherries Bar

I can't wait for the day that I get to say that's it to reviewing these That's It bars that I've been plowing through.  Actually, I'm just joking.  All of these have come as free samples and I'm always grateful for the opportunity to review products.  I will admit that it does sometimes get a bit tiring reviewing derivatives of the same product over and over again because I just lose that product variety and as we all should know, variety is the spice of life...or something.  Anyway, this That's it. Apple + Cherries Bar clocks in at 1.2 ounces with 100 calories and one gram of protein.  Being that it only has two ingredients, it is obviously all natural.  Also, it's gluten free, kosher, raw and vegan, so hooray for that.

Review: That's it. Apple + Mango Bar

I keep grabbing these bars for reviews and each time I grab one, I think to myself "That's it.  That's got to be the end of these bars."  But, it never is it (at least not yet) and I've still got several of these left to review.  And yes, that was definitely in the top ten for the lamest introductory paragraphs that I've ever written for this blog and there's been over one thousand of them.  So, today I embark on this That's it. Apple + Mango Bar that I received via a free sample, just like the others.  This bar clocks in at 1.2 ounces and packed within that are 100 calories and zero grams of protein (LOL).  This two ingredient bar is also all natural, gluten free, kosher, raw and vegan.

Review: That's it. Apple + Pineapple Bar

I mentioned in my previous That's it. review that I was generously sent a big box of flavors to try out, so here we are again to try out another one of those flavors.  Today's flavor revolves around two ingredients (That's it.) that I have had an old and new relationship with.  First, I've loved apples my entire life, thus the old relationship.  Second, I've only recently come to enjoy pineapples, so that is the new relationship.  So, with that meaningless knowledge now passed along to you, it's time to take a look at this That's it. Apple + Pineapple Bar.  It comes in at 1.2 ounces and has 100 calories with ZERO grams of protein.  It's all natural, gluten free, kosher, raw and vegan.

Review: That's it. Apple + Coconut Bar

That's it. bars have been difficult for me to find.  They aren't in my typical stores and I've only been able to find them in healthy stores and sometimes in out of the way locations (for me).  That said, I was very appreciative when a representative of That's it. contact me recently and asked if I'd like to review a sampling of their bars to add to the limited review collection on this blog.  I happily agreed and this leads me to the first of many reviews as I take a look at this That's it. Apple + Coconut Bar.  The bar itself comes in at 1.2 ounces and has a minuscule 110 calories and one gram of protein.  The whole point of That's it. bars is that they only have the ingredients listed in the name and that is the case here as this bar is made up of one apple and 1/4 coconut.  It's also all natural, fat free, gluten free, kosher, raw and vegan.

Review: That's it. Apple + Blueberries Bar

I'm all for minimalism because it makes things less complicated and I very much appreciate lack of complications.  That's what makes today's review so interesting to me.  It's the second time I've looked at a That's It. product here on the blog and if you are new to their products, they pretty much only used one or two ingredients.  In the case of this That's it. Apple + Blueberries Bar, it's only apples and blueberries.  That's it.  Get it?  Ha, ha.  Anyway, I picked this one up at Fresh Thyme for $1.69 and it's 1.2 ounces with 100 calories and one gram of protein (fruits aren't necessarily known for their heavy protein content).  It's also all natural, gluten free, kosher, raw, vegan and zero fat, so how about that?

Review: Go Raw Live Pumpkin Bar

Of all the bars I picked up in my Fresh Thyme shopping binge, today's bar (along with some others of the same ilk, but in different flavors) is definitely the most interesting of what I picked up for $0.99.  I mean it was interesting in terms of size and composition.  I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like this Go Raw Live Pumpkin Bar before in the over one thousand reviews that I've done on this blog.  I mentioned its size and it clocks in at a measly 0.46 ounces.  In that tiny package is 60 calories and two grams of 100% organic protein.  If you are interested in all the other health metrics, and I know a lot of people are, this is also gluten free, nut free, raw, vegan and wheat free.  They also tag this on the wrapper as "Real Live Food" too.

Review: Raw Organic Chocolate Chocolate Chip Food Bar

Some people just crave chocolate.  Whether it's an emotional craving or what, I don't know, but I do know that I crave chocolate a lot.  Because I do crave it so much, I try to only keep a limited amount in my house because I know I could eat it all in one fell swoop and I'd rather not do that.  Recently, I had a chocolate craving and since my supplies were low (intentionally), the only thing I could find to try to satisfy that craving is this Raw Organic Chocolate Chocolate Chip Food Bar that adds to my Organic Food Bar review catalog.  I picked this one up at Marsh for $1.99 and each bar comes in at 1.76 ounces with 220 calories and eight grams of protein.

Review: Raw Organic Cinnamon Raisin Food Bar

Maybe it's because of the negative connotation of raw meat, but it always makes me think twice when I see a product advertising that it's raw as if it's a good thing like these bars have done in prior reviews.  It clearly is in a lot of instances, but like I said, the stigma of raw meat just hangs in my head.  So, when I see a product like today's Raw Organic Cinnamon Raisin Food Bar, a very small part of me thinks twice about this before I dive in.  After the common sense kicks in though, I get myself all geared up to go.  Anyway, this bar was picked up at Marsh for $1.99 and each bar comes in at 1.76 ounces with 210 calories and seven grams of protein.  Before I dive into the review of this, I noticed on the ingredient list that this was made with "a lot of love" and yes, that was actually in the list.  I understand the attempt at humor, but for some reason, that just annoyed me.  Oh well, onto the review...

Review: Raw Organic Chocolate Coconut Food Bar

I mentioned in a recent review that my local Marsh has really stepped up their "health" section and has added a lot of new products that can serve as sources for my reviews.  Today's review of this Raw Organic Chocolate Coconut Food Bar is another one of those products that I was able to pick up after previously having never seen before.  This bar cost me $1.49 and comes in at 1.76 ounces with 230 calories and five grams of protein.  It's raw, organic and all that fun mumbo jumbo too, so that's exciting.  Before I dive into the actual review itself, this bar has something that I don't quite think I've noticed before...this bar is partially made up of sprouts.  WHAT?!  Very strange, in my opinion.

Review: That's it. Apples + Cherries Fruit Bar

You have to admit that the name of today's review product lends itself to so many bad and cheesy jokes that I could (and probably will) tell throughout the course of this review.  Anyway, I was recently in New York City for business and I was meandering through the streets of the Chelsea neighborhood where my hotel was and stumbled into a Whole Foods Market.  I have Whole Foods in my area, but I don't often go there, so this was kind of a "special" trip for me.  While in the store (and eating the free loose nuts and candies), I stumbled upon their nutrition bar section and saw this That's it. Apples + Cherries Fruit Bar, which is something that I have never seen in my local stores before.  I think this set me back about $1.50 at New York City prices and it was 1.2 ounces with 100 calories and one gram of protein.  It's super healthy since it is only two ingredients (That's it...get it?), so it's all natural, gluten free, kosher, vegan, non-fat, raw and all that jazz.

Review: Good Greens Plus Wildberry Bar

If you are a regular reader of the blog or click on this link, you'll know that Good Greens sent me samples of some of their products to try out and review for the blog.  Well, those samples have finally run out as I come to the final review with this review of the Good Green Plus Wildberry bar.  As with all Good Greens bars, it has enough fruits and veggies in its proprietary Z52 Superfood blend to make up 100% of your daily fruit and veggie requirements.  Pretty impressive.  As for the rest of this bar, it is 1.76 ounces, 190 calories and has ten grams of protein.

Review: Good Greens Plus Chocolate Coconut Bar

As I said in my first Good Greens review, Good Greens was a bar that I had never heard of until they contacted me and asked if I would review some of their bars.  As part of that, they sent me four sample flavors to try out and that leads me to another one of those samples with this Chocolate Coconut bar.  As with all Good Greens bars, the bar is built on the foundation of their proprietary Z52 Superfood Powder and then constructed from there.  Before I dive into the review, the details on this one are 1.76 ounces, 185 calories, ten grams of protein, all natural, raw, gluten free and also vegan.  So, there's a lot going on with this bar.

Review: Good Greens Plus Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar

One of the benefits of this blog is that I sometimes get contacted by public relations representatives of companies trying to establish a positive online presence for their brand.  Sometimes this is in response to a positive review and other times, it is to rebut a negative review.  Only once have I been contacted to review a product that I have never heard of before and that's what happened when Good Greens contacted me and asked me to review their well regarded products.  Being that I'm willing to try just about anything, I agreed to give some of their products a shot and the company sent me four bars to try out and I'll start out with the Chocolate Peanut Butter bar.  This one weighs in 1.76 ounces and is made up of 195 calories and ten grams of protein.  It's all natural and raw, along with being gluten free and vegan, so it's got a lot going on.  Before I get to the review, I just want to point out that there will be a giveaway at the end of this post, so you'll want to keep reading to the end!
