Review: Pure Organic Cranberry Orange Bar

Today is a seminal moment here on the blog.  It's the last review out of an out of control Fresh Thyme splurge that I made a couple months ago.  I've finally reached the bottom of the barrel in terms of products that I threw into that barrel (I'm not referencing quality at all...well, at least not yet).  Today, I'll be reviewing another Pure Product when I take a look at this Pure Organic Cranberry Orange Bar that I picked up for $1.89.  This one clocks in at 1.7 ounces and has 200 calories with six grams of protein.  It's all natural, gluten free, organic and vegan as well.  Before I hop into the review, I want to drop this little nugget from Pure's website:  "You’ll like our Cranberry Orange Bar so much, you might do a little dance as you chew."  LOL.  Classic.

Review: Raw Organic Chocolate Chocolate Chip Food Bar

Some people just crave chocolate.  Whether it's an emotional craving or what, I don't know, but I do know that I crave chocolate a lot.  Because I do crave it so much, I try to only keep a limited amount in my house because I know I could eat it all in one fell swoop and I'd rather not do that.  Recently, I had a chocolate craving and since my supplies were low (intentionally), the only thing I could find to try to satisfy that craving is this Raw Organic Chocolate Chocolate Chip Food Bar that adds to my Organic Food Bar review catalog.  I picked this one up at Marsh for $1.99 and each bar comes in at 1.76 ounces with 220 calories and eight grams of protein.

Review: Raw Organic Cinnamon Raisin Food Bar

Maybe it's because of the negative connotation of raw meat, but it always makes me think twice when I see a product advertising that it's raw as if it's a good thing like these bars have done in prior reviews.  It clearly is in a lot of instances, but like I said, the stigma of raw meat just hangs in my head.  So, when I see a product like today's Raw Organic Cinnamon Raisin Food Bar, a very small part of me thinks twice about this before I dive in.  After the common sense kicks in though, I get myself all geared up to go.  Anyway, this bar was picked up at Marsh for $1.99 and each bar comes in at 1.76 ounces with 210 calories and seven grams of protein.  Before I dive into the review of this, I noticed on the ingredient list that this was made with "a lot of love" and yes, that was actually in the list.  I understand the attempt at humor, but for some reason, that just annoyed me.  Oh well, onto the review...

Review: Raw Organic Chocolate Coconut Food Bar

I mentioned in a recent review that my local Marsh has really stepped up their "health" section and has added a lot of new products that can serve as sources for my reviews.  Today's review of this Raw Organic Chocolate Coconut Food Bar is another one of those products that I was able to pick up after previously having never seen before.  This bar cost me $1.49 and comes in at 1.76 ounces with 230 calories and five grams of protein.  It's raw, organic and all that fun mumbo jumbo too, so that's exciting.  Before I dive into the actual review itself, this bar has something that I don't quite think I've noticed before...this bar is partially made up of sprouts.  WHAT?!  Very strange, in my opinion.

Review: Pure Organic Apple Cinnamon Bar

If you click back through the Pure bar review archive, you'll notice a lot of these this year that and that has made me quite popular on the Pure Twitter feed and with the last review, they reminded me that unlike Larabars, their bar was completely organic.  Alrighty then.  So, today's review has me taking a look at this Pure Organic Apple Cinnamon Bar and just so there is no confusion, this is 100% organic!  I picked it up at Whole Foods for $1.50 and the bar itself comes in at 1.7 ounces and has 200 calories with five grams of protein.

Review: Pure Organic Wild Blueberry Bar

If you read this blog with any regularity, you've probably picked up on the fact that I tend to splurge on things and buy a whole bunch of one particular product at once.  These splurges are usually coaxed by sales, but sometimes I do it just for the enjoyment of the impulse and one of those splurges led me to pick up a bunch of Pure bars, some of which I've reviewed already.  Following through with that splurge led me today's review of this Pure Organic Wild Blueberry Bar that I picked up at Meijer on sale for $1.33.  This bar is 1.7 ounces and has 190 calories and six grams of protein.  It's organic, gluten free, non-GMO and vegan, so it's got all sorts of positive characteristics going for it as well.

Review: Pure Organic Cherry Cashew Bar

My first experience with Pure's line of organic bars was so positive and delicious that I dove right into trying out another one the day after trying out the first.  That eagerness leads me to today's review of this Pure Organic Cherry Cashew Bar.  Like the last, I picked this one up on sale at Meijer for $1.67 and it comes in at 1.7 ounces with 190 calories and six grams of protein.  In addition to being organic, it's also gluten fee and vegan, so I know my co-worker (mentioned in my previous Pure post) would be right in line for this one too.

Review: Pure Organic Chocolate Brownie Bar

I've always seen the subject of today's review on the shelf at my local Meijer store, but I've never grabbed one.  Something about the price point of them always scared me away, which is silly considering their regular price is around two dollars.  That said, I was on a recent trip to the store and saw these on sale for $1.67 and picked up a few flavors to try.  I'm also more motivated to try these now because I noticed they were vegan and I have a new co-worker who is also a vegan and I'd like to have some conversations (food related) with her because those are always fun conversations in my opinion.  With that charge, I snapped up this Pure Organic Chocolate Brownie Bar and it comes in at 1.7 ounces with 190 calories and six grams of protein.  Like I said, it's vegan, but it's also organic and gluten free.

Review: Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Nut Roasted Mixed Nut Bar

As I was getting my iPhone camera ready to take the picture above, I realized that I eat a TON of snack bars.  Yes, I should have already known that but sometimes I'm oblivious to my surroundings.  After my so-called revelation, I went ahead got this Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Roasted Mixed Nut Bar ready for the review.  I picked up a box of six of these bars on sale at Kroger for $2.49 and each bar is 1.2 ounces, 160 calories and has three grams of protein.
