Review: Yoplait Plenti Black Cherry Plentiful Greek Yogurt
I'm going to jump ahead a little bit as I tackle yet another Yoplait Plenti review with something that really focuses on what you'll see in the photo after the jump. Apparently Yoplait (General Mills) has decided to join the "Keep Calm and ______" movement and add the tagline to the underside of top of their yogurt containers. I can't tell you how insane that drive me. The "Keep Calm and Carry On" slogan has an interesting history, but some marketer took it and used it for other purposes. Then other marketers thought this was a good idea and here were are today with that slogan spread EVERYWHERE and way overused. It drives me insane to the point where it actually makes me angry and I rant on a food blog about it where no one cares. All over a goofy little slogan. And...wait...I'm just going to stop here before I go off the deep end and get into the review. Anyway, I picked up this single serving container of Yoplait Plenti Black Cherry Plentiful Greek Yogurt at Kroger for $1.00 and it comes in at 5.3 ounces packed in with 140 calories and twelve grams of protein.

Review: Yoplait Plenti Blueberry Plentiful Greek Yogurt
I mentioned in my last Yoplait Plenti review that these cups of Greek yogurt seemed like they were something that had been out forever and that's why I had steered away from reviewing them, figuring that I already had. As I mentioned, it turns out that they were new-ish and I was just dreaming that they had been reviewed before. So, since I've neglected them in the past, I figured it was time to plow through with another review as I grabbed this Yoplait Plenti Blueberry Plentiful Greek Yogurt off the shelves of Kroger for $1.00. It's 5.3 ounces and is packed with 140 calories and twelve grams of protein.

Review: Yoplait Plenti Strawberry Plentiful Greek Yogurt
So, mixing oats in your Greek yogurt is apparently the big new thing in the Greek yogurt war. I've seen several different manufacturers doing it and while I've reviewed plenty of Yoplait products here before, I've never taken a look at their foray into this battle. That leads me to today's review of this single serving cup of Yoplait Plenti Strawberry Plentiful Greek Yogurt that I was able to pick up for free via a digital coupon in the Kroger app. This one ordinarily runs about a dollar-ish at it's regular price. Anyway, this comes in at 5.3 ounces and is loaded up with 140 calories and twelve grams of protein.

Review: Nature Valley Almond Dark Chocolate Nut Crisp Bars
Crazy Food Dude likes nuts. Wait...that didn't come out right. Crazy Food Dude likes eating things with lots of nuts. Wait...shoot, I can't win. Anyway, when I saw that General Mills and Nature Valley had put out yet another new product with nuts as a primary ingredient, I knew that I had to add to my gigantic review catalog. Of course, I wouldn't have bought these had they not been on sale and fortunately I saw them on sale at Meijer for $2.50 per box, which is kind of a steal for Nature Valley products. Each box of Nature Valley Almond Dark Chocolate Nut Crisp Bars has six bars and each bar in the box comes in at 0.89 ounces and has 130 calories and three grams of protein. These are also gluten free for all the gluten-less dieters out there.

Review: Raw Revolution Spirulina Dream Organic Live Food Bar
This blog is often about the continuing education of the Crazy Food Dude. Today's review is one of those educational moments because when I saw the name of this product, I had NO CLUE what the heck it could mean. So, a simple Google search provided me a little background on this Raw Revolution Spirulina Dream Organic Live Food Bar that will add to my smallish Raw Revolution review series. What I learned is that spirulina is a dietary supplement that can come in many forms. In the case of this bar, it comes in powder form and adds protein and other nutrients. The bar itself is also gluten free, kosher, organic (obviously) and vegan. It clocks in at 1.8 ounces and 230 calories with seven grams of protein.

Review: Go Raw Real Live Apricot Bar
Who doesn't like to Go Raw from time to time? I mean, nothing feels better than having a cool breeze on the ol' bare skin. I'm just going to stop there before this turns into a late night Cinemax movie. Plus, I don't want to scare away any readers. Anyway, as part of my many time aforementioned Fresh Thyme trip, I picked up this Go Raw Real Live Apricot Bar for $0.99 to add to the growing Go Raw product review collection. Like the last bar, this one clocks in at a measly 0.46 ounces and also packs a tiny 50 calories with one gram of protein. It's all natural, gluten free, nut free, organic and wheat free as well. Long story short...it's RAW and REAL.

Review: Go Raw Live Pumpkin Bar
Of all the bars I picked up in my Fresh Thyme shopping binge, today's bar (along with some others of the same ilk, but in different flavors) is definitely the most interesting of what I picked up for $0.99. I mean it was interesting in terms of size and composition. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like this Go Raw Live Pumpkin Bar before in the over one thousand reviews that I've done on this blog. I mentioned its size and it clocks in at a measly 0.46 ounces. In that tiny package is 60 calories and two grams of 100% organic protein. If you are interested in all the other health metrics, and I know a lot of people are, this is also gluten free, nut free, raw, vegan and wheat free. They also tag this on the wrapper as "Real Live Food" too.

Review: BumbleBar Amazing Almond Organic Energy Bar
Another day, another Fresh Thyme raid and ANOTHER new product. All of these things are good for the blog, I think. Today's review focuses on something that I find particularly amazing. A bar that carries a bee on the logo, yet doesn't have honey in the ingredients even though bees are particularly known for honey. Does that seem odd to you? It does to me. Anyway, this BumbleBar Amazing Almond Organic Energy Bar cost me $1.89 at the aforementioned Fresh Thyme and it is 1.4 ounces with 210 calories and seven grams of protein. It's also gluten free and organic.

Review: Pure Organic Ancient Grains Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar
As I mentioned last week, I've been away for a bit to deal with some health issues (I'm fine), so this is my first review back after depleting my queue and then running out of reviews to post during my break. To say that it's been a bit difficult to get back into the swing of typing a review would be an understatement. Still, I'm here today with another Pure review to bring you a look at a product that I was able to obtain for free through a manufacturer's coupon (my favorite kind of review...FREE). Anyway, I grabbed this Pure Organic Ancient Grains Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar at Kroger where it typically retails for around $2.00. It's 1.23 ounces and has 160 calories and five grams of protein. It's also gluten free, kosher, organic and vegan if that kind of stuff interests you.

Review: Raw Revolution Golden Cashew Bar
So I've mentioned my new bar purge(s) at my local Marsh Supermarket in their expanded health food section. This bar came as a result of that first initial purge and adds to my modestly sized Raw Revolution review archive. I grabbed this Raw Revolution Golden Cashew Bar for $1.49 and the bar itself is 1.8 ounces and comes at 280 calories with seven grams of protein. It's organic, gluten free, kosher and vegan, so it's got all that going for it too. It apparently was something else at one time too because if you look at the wrapper above, you can see that they blacked out one of the previous features. I find it funny that not only did this bar lose a particular status, but they also just re-used the old packaging and took the easy way out by blacking it out. As a guy that works for a company that constantly makes decisions on the fly, that seemingly on the fly decision by Raw Revolution cracks me up.

Review: Bear Naked Peanut Butter Real Nut Energy Bar
My experiences with Bear Naked so far have been pleasant and I'm glad that I found these bars in the preppy Kroger. That purchase binge of three bars leads me to today's review of the final bar as I took a look at the Bear Naked Peanut Butter Real Nut Energy Bar. Like the others, I picked this one up for $1.25. It comes in at 2.0 ounces and has 250 calories with nine grams of protein. It's all natural and has REAL nuts, so I guess it's got that stuff going for it too.

Review: Raw Revolution Almond Butter Cup Bar
I took a look at a Raw Revolution bar on the blog a while ago and since I don't see these in my regular stores, I haven't touched back on one since. I was in a Whole Foods recently and saw a steady supply of these, so I grabbed several different flavors and today's review is my first look at those flavors with this review of the Raw Revolution Almond Butter Cup Bar that I picked up for $1.50. The bar itself is 1.8 ounces with 230 calories and six grams of protein. It's dairy free, gluten free, kosher, organic and vegan.

Review: Kashi Honey Almond Flax Chewy Granola Bars
I mentioned in my previous Kashi review how much I count my pennies and that typically keeps me away from buying Kashi products, but based on a recent sale at Meijer, I picked up several of their products for review and that includes the subject of today's review with this box of six Kashi Honey Almond Flax Granola Bars that I picked up on sale for $3.00. Each bar in the box is 1.2 ounces and 140 calories with a decent seven grams of protein considering the composition of the bar.

Review: Raw Rev 100 Chocolate Crave Food Bar
The free sample train that comes as a result of writing a food review blog is pretty fun. As much as I'd like to think I know everything, I very much do not and via free samples, I often find out about product that I've never heard of before. Today's review is of a free sample that I received that I had definitely not heard of before and that leads me to this review of the Raw Rev 100 Chocolate Crave Food Bar. The company that manufactures these bars, Raw Revolution, ordinarily manufactures full size bars, but since this particular bar is a diminutive version of the full size bar, they've decided to shorten the name to Raw Rev. Very cute. Anyway, this shortened bar is 0.9 ouncs and in keeping up with the name, it 100 calories with three grams of protein. It's also got quite a bit else going for it too being that it's peanut free, gluten free, dairy free and organic. Holy moly.

Review: Kashi Pumpkin Spice Flax Crunchy Granola Bar
Whoever is responsible for buying snacks at my office must have fallen in love with Kashi products because I've been seeing them around the office a lot lately and being the freebie freak that I am, I've been snatching them up for reviews. It's that trolling of the office snacks yet again that leads me to this review of the Kashi Pumpkin Spice Flax Crunchy Granola Bar. This is a two granola bar pack (didn't expect that) and each pack is 1.4 ounces at 170 calories and five grams of protein. Divide those in half and you've obviously got the measurements for each all natural bar.

Review: Corazona's Cranberry Flax Oatmeal Square
Have you ever taken a DISC Assessment? My work (outside of this blog obviously) is a big supporter of DISC assessments and when I take mine, I always end up as an extreme "C". That means many things, but for the purposes of this blog, I'll point out that C's are generally resistant to change, which is why I personally find it amusing that I continually try and branch out and try out new products for this blog because it seems completely out of character if you believe the assessment. It's that attempt to branch out that leads me to this second Corazona's review with this Corazona's Cranberry Flax Oatmeal Square that I picked up on sale at Kroger for $1.00. It's 1.76 ounces, has 180 calories, six grams of protein and six grams of fiber. Unlike a C, this one is all over the board.
