Review: Chobani Simply 100 Crunch Blueberry Cookie Crumble Greek Yogurt
Another day, another Chobani product. Well, maybe it just feels that way since I bought several all in the same shopping trip. Anyway, today's review is of a new product that I picked up for $1.25 at my local Kroger. This Chobani Simply 100 Crunch Blueberry Cookie Crumble Greek Yogurt clocks in at a diminutive 4.2 ounces and packs in 100 calories with ten grams of protein. It's also all natural, kosher and vegan. Pretty brief intro today, but's all I've got to say for now since I can't come up with anything particularly creative. Call it Chobani fatigue.

Review: Love Grown Foods Strawberry Raspberry Hot Oats
People do a lot of things in life in the name of love. Make sacrifices, do nice things, etc. Well, apparently there's a group of people out there that like to grow food in the name of love (apparently oats are quite the loving food) and because of that, led to another Love Grown Foods review as I take a look at this cup of Love Grown Foods Strawberry Raspberry Hot Oats. I was able to pick it up at Kroger for around $1.50 (can't remember the exact price) and each container of gluten free Love Grown Foods Strawberry Raspberry Hot Oats comes in at 2.22 ounces and has 230 calories and seven grams of protein.

Review: Love Grown Foods Peach Almond Vanilla Hot Oats
I love the clearance aisle. I love it when I find products that I regularly buy and are near expiration (I'll eat them well before expiration) and I also love it when I find products that I would have either never considered buying or had never heard of. Today's review is a case of the latter as I was able to find a 2.22 ounce container of this Love Grown Foods Peach Almond Vanilla Hot Oats at Kroger. Can't really remember the price, but since it was on clearance, that's not a realistic gauge of price anyway. Within this container are 240 calories and a respectable seven grams of protein. It's also gluten free.

Review: Appleways Apple Simply Wholesome Oatmeal Bar
Appleways (by Darlington Foods) are an interesting bar to me. I've looked at them a couple of times previously and while their recipe is not overly complicated or particularly fancy (translation: very basic), I've been pleasantly surprised by how much I've enjoyed their bars. I'd like to say that it is the positive experiences that have me looking at today's Appleways Apple Simply Wholesome Oatmeal Bar, but the truth is that the only thing that has me looking at this bar today is that I buy everything in splurges and I picked up every single flavor that Marsh had available at the time I purchased these bars for $1.29 each. That said, I don't regret picking this up because I always need review topics and this particular review topic is 1.2 ounces with 140 calories and two grams of protein (like that smooth segue there?). It's whole grain, all natural and kosher as well.

Review: Zone Perfect Perfectly Simple Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bar
I often go through the aisles of stores and just bypass products that I think I must have reviewed before. I know that I've mentioned that previously, but when you cross over one thousand reviews like I have recently, it's tough to remember everything that I have or have not reviewed. Today's review product is one of those instances as every time I saw this Zone Perfect Perfectly Simple Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bar on the shelf, I was convinced that I had reviewed it because it was such a seemingly basic product that I figured I would have hit on at some point. One day, curiosity got the best of me and I check the Zone Perfect review archive and low and behold, I found out that I had not reviewed it, so here we are. I (finally) grabbed this bar off the shelves at Kroger for $1.00 and each bar is 1.58 ounces with 190 calories and ten grams of protein.

Review: Appleways Strawberry Simply Wholesome Oatmeal Bar
I mentioned in my last Appleways review that I'm not sure any other store in the world other than Marsh carries these bars because I've never seen them. If that is the case, that kind of limits the amount of people that would be affected by this review, but since I need content for the blog, I might as well keep reviewing these bars. So, I picked up this Appleways Strawberry Simply Wholesome Oatmeal Bar at my local Marsh for $1.29. It's 1.2 ounces and has 140 calories with two grams of protein. It's simply wholesome (if you say so) and all natural as well, so there is that.

Review: Appleways Chocolate Simply Wholesome Oatmeal Bar
Marsh is an interesting supermarket chain. It's slowly rotting from the inside and dying, but it somehow manages to change its format constantly. It brings in some of the most bizarre products from time to time and it also brings in stuff that seemingly no one else carries. Today's review is of a product that I have not seen at ANY of my local grocery stores, but yet somehow has a pop-up aisle display at Marsh. With that intro, I grabbed this Appleways Chocolate Simply Wholesome Oatmeal Bar for $1.49. It's a product of Darlington Foods and comes in at 1.20 ounces with 130 calories and two grams of whole grain goodness (maybe).

Review: The GFB Gluten Free Bar Oatmeal Raisin Bar
I mentioned in a previous Gluten Free Bar review that I first thought they had been kicked out of my local Meijer, but like the Phoenix, they rose again with additional flavors. I said that I picked up a couple of flavors and today's review of this The GFB Gluten Free Bar Oatmeal Raisin Bar is the second of those flavors that I was able to grab. Like the last, this one was on the shelves of Meijer for $1.49. It clocks in at 2.05 ounces with 220 calories and twelve grams of protein. It's all natural, dairy free, soy free, vegan and obviously gluten free.

Review: Meta Health Bar Cinnamon Oatmeal Raisin Bar
I have made no secret on this blog that I really like oatmeal. One of the neat things about oatmeal is that there are so many different ways to eat it, whether that be sweet or savory. Along those lines, you can build your sweet or savory profile any way you like. It's one of the great utility foods out there and it's one that I love, although I prefer my oatmeal the sweet way. My favorite way to make it sweet is to add a bit of cinnamon and raisins into it, so when an opportunity for a free sample bar that was based on that same flavor profile popped up, I was certainly going to grab it. Okay, let's be serious...I would have grabbed a free sample regardless of what the flavor profile is. I'm a freebie addict. Anyway, this free sample of the Meta Health Bar Cinnamon Oatmeal Raisin Bar arrived in my mailbox and I was anxious to try it out. It is 1.41 ounces with 150 calories and a minimal two grams of protein. It's also high in fiber, so with a bar that is high in fiber, you can definitely "Make A Change" in your life (or a certain room) with that extra dose of fiber. Okay, sorry for that grossness. One more note is that this is an extension of the famous (or infamous) Metamucil product line, so just keep that in mind.

Review: Quaker Real Medleys Blueberry Hazelnut Oatmeal +
I admit, I've been sitting on the source of today's product review for a quite a while. As you can see above, it was obviously a "NEW" product when I bought it, but that has been quite a while and there is nothing new about it anymore. Even though it's not new, it's time to introduce another review into my Quaker review catalog with this review of the single serving cup of Quaker Real Medleys Blueberry Hazelnut Oatmeal + that I picked up at Kroger for $1.33. Each cup is 270 calories of oatmeal goodness.

Review: Better Oats oat revolution! Oatmeal Raisin Bar
In previous Better Oats reviews, it was revealed that these oat revolution! bars were a secret test being done in select markets. I'm not sure if these are still a secret test or they have been released to the wild, but my company had some of them thrown out at snack time again recently and being that this Better Oats oat revolution! Oatmeal Raisin Bar was the only one that I had not reviewed yet, I snatched it up so that I could do a write-up here on the blog. This bar itself is 1.23 ounces and has 130 calories. The oats are steel cut, so yea-rah!

Review: Nature Valley Cinnamon Brown Sugar Soft-Baked Oatmeal Squares
It's not exactly a dirty little secret that companies like to copy each other, especially in the food industry. If one company finds a recipe for success, so to speak, then another company will copy it and market it under their own label. It appears as if that is what General Mills is doing with this Nature Valley Cinnamon Brown Sugar Soft-Baked Oatmeal Squares obviously being a clone of the Quaker line of soft-baked oatmeal squares. It's funny actually, because who knew that oatmeal squares were something that the market was just so desperate for? Clearly I didn't, but the snack time people at my work must have known as this was another free product offering. This square bar itself comes in at 1.24 ounces and has 150 calories and two grams of protein.

Review: Kellogg's Special K Nourish Maple Brown Sugar Crunch Hot Cereal
So apparently Kellogg's has had enough of Quaker hogging the single serve oatmeal cup market and has finally gotten their own product to market to compete in the great oatmeal wars (a creation of my imagination). That new product introduction leads me to another Kellogg's review as I take a look at this Kellogg's Special K Nourish Maple Brown Sugar Crunch Hot Cereal cup. I got a two-pack on sale at Kroger for $2.99 and each cup in the pack is 1.83 ounces with 190 calories, eight grams of protein and five grams of fiber. It's also a multi-grain blend with quinoa, so that's exciting...not.

Review: Quaker Real Medleys Peach Almond Oatmeal +
Anyone can admit that oatmeal in its most basic form is not the most exciting food. It can be fine, at times, but for the most part, it is one of those foods that absolutely needs add-ins in order to give it some flavor. I've spent a lot of time on Quaker products here on the site and that just continues with this review of the Quaker Real Medleys Peach Almond Oatmeal + that I picked up at Marsh on sale for $1.25. This is obviously another attempt by Quaker to take it's staple product and transform it into a flavor packed single serving container, which I am more than fine with because it saves me from having to do all the legwork of adding things in (you could infer that I'm lazy and you might be right). This single serving container is 2.64 ounces with 290 calories and eight grams of protein.

Review: Corazona's Cranberry Flax Oatmeal Square
Have you ever taken a DISC Assessment? My work (outside of this blog obviously) is a big supporter of DISC assessments and when I take mine, I always end up as an extreme "C". That means many things, but for the purposes of this blog, I'll point out that C's are generally resistant to change, which is why I personally find it amusing that I continually try and branch out and try out new products for this blog because it seems completely out of character if you believe the assessment. It's that attempt to branch out that leads me to this second Corazona's review with this Corazona's Cranberry Flax Oatmeal Square that I picked up on sale at Kroger for $1.00. It's 1.76 ounces, has 180 calories, six grams of protein and six grams of fiber. Unlike a C, this one is all over the board.

Review: Corazona's Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Square
Frequent readers of the blog will know that sometimes I get repetitive on the manufacturers that I review because I pick things up in bulk. I've been trying to avoid that recently and branch out into new products and its that effort that leads me to this Corazona's Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Square. I picked it up on sale at Kroger for $1.00 and it comes in at 1.76 ounces and 190 calories with six grams of protein. It's also all natural, so it's got that "healthy" thing going for it too. Well, as healthy as something can be when it contains chocolate chips, I guess.

Review: Quaker Real Medleys Cherry Pistachio Oatmeal +
Conspiracy theorists like to say that eventually the world is just going to be run by a handful of corporations. I never hear Quaker included in that list, but they might as well be since they seemingly produce half the food in my grocery store. Okay, that's a HUGE overstatement on my part, but it at least conveys my main point...they produce A LOT of product and definitely keep me busy here on the blog. Their bread and butter products are their oatmeal products, so here I am grabbing another one of those products with this review of the Quaker Real Medleys Cherry Pistachio Oatmeal + that I picked up on sale at Marsh for $1.25. This container of oatmeal is 2.57 ounces and has 290 calories with nine grams of protein. It's a just add water (either hot water or regular water and then heat in the microwave), so it's so simple a caveman could do it. Sorry, I had to steal the Geico line.

Review: Kraft MilkBite Oatmeal Raisin Milk & Granola Bar
I've been barreling through these MilkBite bars recently. After typing up one of my recent reviews, I saw on the Kraft website that there were a couple of new flavors available that I had not yet seen. After seeing that, I filed it away in my head to start looking and on a recent trip to one of my local Marsh stores, I finally found a box of these Kraft MilkBite Oatmeal Raisin Milk & Granola Bars on sale for $2.50 for a box of five bars. Each bar is 1.23 ounces, has 130 calories and also five grams of protein. Oatmeal raisin is one of my tried and true favorite flavor combinations, so I was very anxious to dive into this one.

Review: CLIF Kid Z Bar Iced Oatmeal Cookie Bar
I know I say this a lot now, but I'll spare the long intro again because it tires and just say that CLIF has a lot products and I've done a lot of reviews on them. Trying their endless line of products leads me to another product from their Z Bar line of products aimed at kids with this review of the CLIF Kid Z Bar Iced Oatmeal Cookie Bar that I picked up at Kroger on sale for $0.75. This organic bar is 1.27 ounces and has 130 calories and three grams of protein and particularly interests me because, on occasion, I would make the argument that oatmeal cookies are better than chocolate chip cookies. I'm not saying that's always the case, but sometimes the wind blows me that particular way, so I was curious to see how this "cookie" related to the real thing.

Review: Quaker Real Medleys Apple Walnut Oatmeal +
Up until about a year ago, I went through about a four to five year stretch where I ate oatmeal for dinner about 3-5 times per week. It was ridiculous. Finally, I think I got burned out on it and now I only have it sporadically. So, as I was walking through the breakfast aisle at Meijer recently, I spotted a sale on Quaker products and decided that I'd pick up one of their oatmeal products and do yet another Quaker review, so that leads me to this review of their semi-new Quaker Real Medleys Apple Walnut Oatmeal +. This was priced on sale at $1.50 and it is 2.64 ounces with 290 calories. Today is also National Oatmeal Day, so I can think of no better day to post this review!
