Review: Edy's (Dreyer's) Outshine Creamy Coconut Fruit Bars
I've spent several reviews on Fruttare bars here on this site, but today is really the first review of a Fruttare competitor as I add another entry to my Edy's review catalog by taking a look at a product out of their Outshine line of bars. I was able to pick up this box of six Edy's Outshine Creamy Coconut Fruit Bars at Marsh on sale for $3.79 (fortunately I had a $1 off coupon to make that a bit cheaper) and each bar in the box comes in at 2.7 fluid ounces and has 120 calories of frozen, creamy goodness (maybe).

Review: Fruttare Mixed Berry and Milk Frozen Fruit & Milk Dessert Bars
When Fruttare bars first came out in my area, I hammered them with a large series of reviews, but have mainly stayed away for quite a while. A little while back, a member of Fruttare's publicity team contacted me and asked if I'd like to try out some of their new flavors. Being the glutton for food and free stuff that I am, I happily accepted the offer and they sent me out two vouchers for free products. One of those vouchers got me today's product with this box of Fruttare Strawberry and Milk + Mixed Berry and Milk Frozen Fruit & Milk Dessert Bars. As you can quite easily see, there are two flavors in this box but since the Mixed Berry-flavored bars are the new ones, I'll primarily focus on those for the purposes of this review. Each of those bars is 2.7 fluid ounces and 110 calories.

Review: Fruttare Peach and Milk Frozen Fruit & Milk Dessert Bars
I can't say enough positive things about my previous Fruttare experiences. Each time, I expected to go in and be bored by what I was eating and each time, I was left far from bored after I tried each bar out. In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed each flavor and product line, so armed with another free product voucher, I grabbed this box of Fruttare Peach and Milk Frozen Fruit & Milk Dessert Bars off the shelf at my local Meijer and dove right in with high expectations. Each box of these bars contains four separate bars and typically runs in the $4.00 range in my area. Each bar is 2.7 fluid ounces and is 110 calories, so it's a fairly economical treat.

Review: Fruttare Coconut and Milk Frozen Fruit & Milk Dessert Bars
Apparently Fruttare bars are another import that we've been deprived of (like Magnum ice cream bars were at one time). Recently though, Unilever (also the importer of Magnum bars) has decided that Fruttare bars should jump from their home country of Brazil and be released to the masses of the United States (they've been available in other parts of the world for quite some time) and spurred on by a free product coupon via my Kroger Plus savings card, I picked up this four pack of Fruttare Coconut and Milk Frozen Dessert Bars on a recent trip to the store. Each bar is 2.7 fluid ounces and 140 calories, so it's a relatively sizable and semi-healthy treat.

Review: JELL-O Live Active Milk Chocolate Bliss Pudding
Sometimes I let my ego get the best of me and think that I've seen it all. I am often put in my place and that was the case in one of my recent visits to Walmart as I found a JELL-O pudding product that I had NEVER seen before and I thought I'd seen them all. In this case it was a four pack of the JELL-O Live Active Milk Chocolate Bliss Pudding. It's Live Active because it's good for digestive health, but that's not what I was really interested in. What I was truly interested in was the fact that this was a flavor that I had never seen before that sounded really, really good. So, armed with two whole dollars, I grabbed this four pack of cups, threw it in my cart to bring home to try and that leads me to this review. Each cup is 3.75 ounces and has 60 calories.

Review: Kraft MilkBite Mixed Berry Milk & Granola Bar
Today's review leads me to finally blast through all the Kraft MilkBite flavors with this review of the last of their currently available flavors. I'm sure that will change in the future when they inevitably add more flavors, but for now, this Kraft MilkBite Mixed Berry Milk & Granola Bar review is the end of the line. Like some of the others, I picked up a box of five of these bars at Marsh for $2.50. Each bar is 1.23 ounces and has 140 calories with five grams of protein. It's also got 30% of your daily calcium intake, which is basically the equivalent of an eight ounce glass of milk. I have to admit, that's pretty impressive to pack that much calcium into this smallish bar.

Review: Kraft MilkBite Oatmeal Raisin Milk & Granola Bar
I've been barreling through these MilkBite bars recently. After typing up one of my recent reviews, I saw on the Kraft website that there were a couple of new flavors available that I had not yet seen. After seeing that, I filed it away in my head to start looking and on a recent trip to one of my local Marsh stores, I finally found a box of these Kraft MilkBite Oatmeal Raisin Milk & Granola Bars on sale for $2.50 for a box of five bars. Each bar is 1.23 ounces, has 130 calories and also five grams of protein. Oatmeal raisin is one of my tried and true favorite flavor combinations, so I was very anxious to dive into this one.

Review: Kraft MilkBite Strawberry Milk & Granola Bar
These Kraft MilkBite bars are brilliant in their simplicity. The pick one flavor, mix it with milk and that's it. I've already touched on a couple of flavors previously, but as I also mentioned before, I picked up a couple of flavors at the same time and that leads me to this review of the Kraft MilkBite Strawberry Milk & Granola Bar. Like the other, I picked this one up on sale at Meijer in a box of five bars on sale for $2.99. Each bar is 1.23 ounces and has 140 calories and five grams of protein. It's also a fifth of your daily calcium intake, so hooray for bone health!

Review: Kraft MilkBite Chocolate Milk & Granola Bar
This past fall, I took a belated look at what had been a new product release that had occurred several months prior to my review. Despite the fact that I found that particular MilkBite bar to be downright delicious, I'd stayed away from these bars until recently when I picked up a couple of boxes of five bars consisting of different flavors on sale at Meijer for $2.99. In this review, I'll take a look at the Kraft MilkBite Chocolate Milk & Granola Bars. Each bar in this box comes in at 1.23 ounces and has 140 calories with five grams of protein. It's listed as a good source of fiber and also proclaims to contain 30% of your daily calcium intake. That's quite some whallop for in a small package. Since it contains milk, it needs to be stored in the refrigerator.

Review: New Orleans Ice Cream Company Cafe Au Lait & Beignets Ice Cream
So the New Orleans Ice Cream Company string of reviews finally ends continues as I go onto another review from the free shipment of pints that I received and that leads me to this review of the New Orleans Ice Cream Company Cafe Au Lait & Beignets Ice Cream. I've had experience reviewing coffee flavored ice cream pints before when I reviewed Starbucks' Caramel Macchiato and wasn't particularly fond of it, so I've purposely held this one for last because of that reason. Before I dive into this, the nutrition information includes four half-cup servings at a reasonable 200 calories per serving.

Review: Kraft MilkBite Peanut Butter Milk & Granola Bar
Kraft debuted their MilkBite line of milk and granola bars quite some time ago to much fanfare, but for some reason, I had stayed away from them for the longest time. I really wish I could figure out why too because it's like I have some sort of vendetta against them. In fact, everything about them sounds appealing to me because I love milk, I love granola and I love snack bars. Yet, I still stayed away. Finally after looking at them in the store countless times, I decided to take the plunge and pick up a box of these Kraft MilkBite Peanut Butter Milk & Granola Bars on sale at Meijer for $2.00. Each box contains five bars and each bar comes in at 1.23 ounces. Each bar is also 140 calories and contains five grams of protein. What makes these bars unique from other bars on the market is that since they contain real milk, they have to be kept in the refrigerator in order to preserve them for time. For me, that's not a big deal since I prefer my granola bars to be kept in the refrigerator anyway, but actually having a manufacturer tell you to do that is quite a change.

Review: Muscle Milk Cookies 'N Creme Protein Nutrition Shake
Via this blog, I've eaten more protein bars than I could ever imagine and frankly, I'm starting to get sick of them. I've had several to review in my refrigerator for quite a while now, but I have little to no motivation to eat any of them. One thing I haven't spent a lot of time reviewing is protein shakes (I've only done one drink review), so that leads me to this review of the Muscle Milk Cookies 'N Creme Protein Nutrition Shake. I picked this for free via a coupon at Thornton's Fuel Center, so I don't know what the price was exactly, but I believe it was in the $3.00 range. This one comes in at fourteen ounces and 220 calories with a whopping 25 grams of protein.

Review: Atkins Day Break Creamy Chocolate Shake
In my mind, a shake is something that is made with ice cream and milk. In Atkins mind, it clearly isn't, especially when you consider that they don't sell these out of the freezer or even the refrigerator at the store. Yes, these are stored at room temperature. Still, based on the fact that I had a positive experience with my last Atkins review and that I'm a glutton for punishment, I was willing to give this "shake" a try when I saw it on sale at Meijer for around $6 for a four pack (I also had a coupon). There were a couple different varieties available, but I had a chocolate craving, so I chose the Creamy Chocolate Shake version of the Day Break line of diet foods. Each shake contains 140 calories and 10 grams of protein, so while it's not going to bust your diet, it's not exactly a "freebie" either.

Review: Ben & Jerry's Milk & Cookies Ice Cream
As if you couldn't tell by the fact that I link his reviews in nearly every ice cream post that I do, I spend a lot of time over at On Second Scoop. Being that I spend so much time over there (and he writes about it so much), it's pretty easy to see that he considers Milk & Cookies to be in the pantheon of Ben & Jerry's greatest flavors. He writes about it in many reviews, but when you go back to the original review that he completed, it's easy to see that he holds it in such high esteem. Seeing all of these mentions of it made me want to give it a shot, so I picked up a pint of this at Meijer on sale for $3.00. Each pint contains four servings as usual and each serving is 270 calories.
