Review: LUNA Protein Berry Greek Yogurt Bar

LUNA was a big start of review in the early days of the blog and over time, I've cranked out seventeen past reviews (as of this writing).  Primarily designed for women, I've decreed that it's okay for men to eat them too, thus I happily eat them. A recent trip to Kroger allowed me to discover one of their new (to me) flavors and I snatched up this LUNA Protein Berry Greek Yogurt Bar for $1.25.  The bar itself clocks in at 1.59 ounces and 170 calories with twelve grams of protein. It's gluten free for those that are so inclined as well.

Buy camping puffy blankets.

Review: Annie's Organic Berry Berry Granola Bars

The clearance section at Marsh has had some good stuff in it recently, at least in my opinion.  Today is another one of those finds in the section as I picked up an Annie's product, of which I've seen countless times in various stores, but have never wanted to make the big leap to buy any of them.  Clearance will make a guy do funny things though and that's why I decided to grab this box of Annie's Organic Berry Berry Granola Bars off the shelf.  Each box has six 0.98 ounce bars and each bar is 120 calories with two grams of protein.

Review: Van's Blissfully Berry Gluten Free Cereals

So I mentioned in my previous Van's review that someone in their public relations firm (or perhaps department) was kind enough to ship me a couple of boxes of their gluten free cereals for review.  I already looked at one, so today's reviews leads me to take a look a the other box that was shipped to me as I examine this box of Van's Blissfully Berry Gluten Free Cereals.  This box has nine three-quarter cup servings contained within it and each serving comes in at 110 calories.  It's gluten free of course and also hits you up with all sorts of fiber and whole grains, so hooray for that if that is the way that you like to start your day.  The tagline says that you can start your day with a "Blissful Breakfast", so if you are in to fiber and whole grains like this has got, perhaps that is blissful for you.  I'm not really into starting my day at all as I'd rather stay in bed, but to each their own.

Review: Kellogg's Special K Berry Medley Bars

Recently I took a look at one of the new products that Kellogg's Special K had rolled out in their snack bars line and since it seems as if they rolled out their new products in a pair, I'm now going to take a look at these Kellogg's Special K Berry Medley Bars.  I picked these up on sale at Marsh for $1.99 and each box contains six bars that weigh in at a tiny 0.88 ounces and has a minimal 100 calories with two grams of protein (they are a snack bar after all).  Since this is pretty much the definition of a process and manufactured food, there's no sorts of all natural or anything tag lines to throw on here, which is kind of funny.  Still, that doesn't bother me one bit because I'm the same guy that willing throws candy, cookies, ice cream and beer into my body on a fairly regular basis, so I'm not exactly the bastion of health...I just sometimes eat healthy foods.

Review: PowerBar Performance Energy Berry Yogurt Wafer Bar

I've been hitting some product manufacturers that I haven't reviewed in a long, long time recently as I've FINALLY been finding new product offerings in my local stores.  One of those manufacturers is PowerBar, which I haven't reviewed in close to two years.  Of course, new products AND a Free Friday Download from Kroger will get me to review pretty much anything so that leads me to this review of the PowerBar Performance Energy Berry Yogurt Wafer Bar.  Since this is an energy bar, it's intent is for you to eat before or during your workout so that  you can get the necessary boost of energy to push you along.  It's also 1.41 ounces and has 170 calories and a minimal two grams of protein.

Review: Kashi Berry Lemonade with Chia Chewy Granola Bars

Kashi released the subject of today's review a few months back, but since I'm so tight fisted and cheap, I've resisted buying a box of these because I did not want to pay full price just to add another review to the Kashi catalog.  Recently on a trip to Meijer though, they had a box of six of these for sale at a decent enough price for me ($3.00) that I decided to pick it up and try out this "new" flavor of Kashi Berry Lemonade with Chia Chewy Granola Bars.  Like I said, there are six bars in the box and each bar is 1.2 ounces and 120 calories with six grams of protein.

Review: SOYJOY Berry Baked Whole Soy & Fruit Bar

I'll dispense with the ridiculous play on words introduction that I used in my last SOYJOY post and just get right to it.  I've had some success with SOYJOY products before, despite the fact that the general idea of them seems so disgusting.  A soy snack bar?  So weird.  Anyway, with those positive experiences in mind, I was ready to dive into this SOYJOY Berry Baked Whole Soy & Fruit Bar that I picked up on sale at Marsh for $1.00.  The bar itself is 1.05 ounces and has 130 calories and four grams of protein.

Review: Kashi Berry Muffin Soft n' Chewy Bar

So I've finally reached the bottom of my office snack time Kashi stockpile (for now).  You've seen lots of reviews of these Kashi products that I've picked up already, but I'm going to bore (or perhaps inform) you with another today with my review of this Kashi Berry Muffin Soft n' Chewy Bar.  I'm sure this comes in a box of five or six for around $4.00, but since I got it at the office, I don't have an official price to attach to it. The bar itself is 1.4 ounces, has 130 calories and three grams of protein.

Review: Cascadian Farm Organic Harvest Berry Chewy Granola Bars

Cascadian Farm is on the brink of entering the Quaker zone for me. By that, I mean that I've been finding so many varieties of their granola bar products that this blog is going to become Cascadian Farm heavy. Since I found another flavor on sale at Kroger recently, I figure now is as good of a time as any to review this box of six Cascadian Farm Organic Harvest Berry Chewy Granola Bars that I got on sale for $2.49. Each of this six bars is 130 calories and has a tiny two grams of protein. One thing I noticed and found particularly impressive when I was looking at the nutritional information was that of the 130 calories in this bar, only 15 of them were from fat. I forget what the "healthy" fat ratio is (and I'm too lazy to look it up), but I do know the ratio in this bar is substantially better than the normal "safe" ratio.

Review: Kraft MilkBite Mixed Berry Milk & Granola Bar

Today's review leads me to finally blast through all the Kraft MilkBite flavors with this review of the last of their currently available flavors.  I'm sure that will change in the future when they inevitably add more flavors, but for now, this Kraft MilkBite Mixed Berry Milk & Granola Bar review is the end of the line.  Like some of the others, I picked up a box of five of these bars at Marsh for $2.50.  Each bar is 1.23 ounces and has 140 calories with five grams of protein.  It's also got 30% of your daily calcium intake, which is basically the equivalent of an eight ounce glass of milk.  I have to admit, that's pretty impressive to pack that much calcium into this smallish bar.
