Review: Joyva Sesame Crunch Bar

I've opined countless times how much I love browsing the clearance section at just about every single store I visit.  Grocery stores, clothing stores, etc.  I love them all.  Anyway, it's that fascination with clearance sections that allowed me to spot this Joyva Sesame Crunch Bar in the clearance section at Kroger for $0.49.  I don't know the regular price, but I do know that I love picking things up for less than half a dollar.  This new blog entrant weighs in at 1.125 ounces and has 190 calories and a minimal two grams of protein.  It's also all natural, gluten free and kosher, but based on the composition of the bar itself, that might be the only healthy things that I can say about it as it appears to me that this is more sweets bar than health bar.

Review: Mariani Sesame Honeybar

After having reviewed several of their products and having seen consistent success in my reviews of those products, it might be time for me to join the Mariani family.  What I like about these products is they stick to basic recipes and presentations and just deliver on flavor.  That said, the source of today's review is one that I've held until last because not only is it the least basic of all the bars that I picked up in a splurge at the Walmart Neighborhood Market for $1.49, it's also the one that I was most scared of because the recipe description seemed just off to me.  Either way, it's time to plow ahead and take a look at this all natural Mariani Sesame Honeybar that comes in at 1.4 ounces with 200 calories and six grams of protein.

Review: Atkins Sesame Chicken Stir-Fry Frozen Meal

I don't often eat individual pre-packaged frozen entrees, but I usually keep a couple in my freezer just in case the situation ever arises where I'm not particularly hungry and/or I've gotten home late and just don't want to deal with throwing anything together.  Today's review was caused by one of those situations and is going to allow me to add to my Atkins review catalog when I take a look at this Atkins Sesame Chicken Stir-Fry Frozen Meal that was able to pick up on sale AND with a $1.00 off coupon for $2.99, so it's obviously not on the low cost end of the retail spectrum.  This 9.0 ounce frozen entree has 360 calories and a hearty 26 grams of protein.

Review: Kashi Trail Mix Chewy Granola Bar

Office snack time hit up the Kashi bars again, so it's time for another Kashi review.  It's getting to be a broken record at the office...one day Kashi bars and the next day is popcorn.  It continues in that endless loop for ever and yes, I am whining about free snacks.  Yes, I am aware that I really need to get a life.  Anyway, a recent snack time opened my eyes to the Kashi Trail Mix Chewy Granola Bar.  This bar comes in at 1.2 ounces and has 140 calories and six grams of protein.  It's also all natural and is primarily made up of Kashi's seven whole grains mix mixed with whatever the add-ins of choice are and since this is a bar based on trail mix, there's a plethora of them.
