Review: Edy's (Dreyer's) Peanut Butter Pie Frozen Custard
I'm not going to kid myself anymore. I am on a fully crazed dessert binge. Cookies, ice cream, cake, custard (in today's case), whatever. I can't get enough of my sweets and I'm eating a ton of them. Some of that has been reflected on the blog. BUT, in this case, it's probably okay. I've lost a bunch of weight (not be design) and I need to put a few pounds back on as I've mentioned before, so this course of action certainly helps me do that, even though they aren't healthy pounds since they are backed in sugar and junk. Oh well. Anyway, today's review adds to my Edy's (Dreyer's in the west) review collection as I was able to grab a 32 ounce container of this new Edy's (Dreyer's) Peanut Butter Pie Custard at my local Kroger on sale for $2.99. Each container has eight half-cup servings and each serving is 250 calories.

Review: Yoplait Greek 100 Blackberry Pie Greek Yogurt
I've been eating so much Greek yogurt lately that I'm thinking about putting an "is" at the end of my last name or changing my first name to Aristotle or Plato or Odysseus or something Greek like that because I know feel like I am one of them. Considering that I'm of German/Irish descent, that does seem kind of amusing to me. So, as part of my goal of becoming Greek (or something like that), I picked up a container of this Yoplait Greek 100 Blackberry Pie Greek Yogurt at Kroger for $1.00. It's a new flavor for Yoplait to add to my rapidly growing collection and as per usual, it's a 5.3 ounce single serving cup. It's just 100 calories and has twelve grams of protein packed punch. Yoplait also proudly displays on the container that this is two points on the Weight Watchers points scale.

Review: CLIF Pecan Pie Bar
Every year, CLIF puts out some seasonal offering bars right around the holidays and I've hit on those flavors in prior reviews. This year, they added a new variant to those seasonal offerings with this CLIF Pecan Pie Bar and since I'd not had it before, I knew I had to give it a shot. I picked it up at Kroger for $1.00 The bar is the standard CLIF bar offering weight of 2.4 ounces and also comes in with 260 calories and nine grams of protein. It's obviously based on the decadent holiday treat (a true favorite of mine), so to say I was anxious to dive into this would be an understatement.

Review: Private Selection Pecan Pie Ice Cream
The Private Selection procession continues (like that rhyme?) with today's review adding to my review collection that was caused by an absurd sale at Kroger where I made a binge purchase of these pints of Private Selection ice cream. These pints typically sell in the $3.00 range, but the mega sale at Kroger allowed me to get this pint of Private Selection Pecan Pie Ice Cream for a bargain basement price of $0.99. The pint consists of the obvious four half-cup servings of ice cream and each serving comes in at 230 calories of goodness that reminds me of my favorite part of Thanksgiving and the year-end holiday season.

Review: Chobani flip Key Lime Crumble Greek Yogurt
In my last Chobani review of one of their new flip products, a reader recommended that I try the subject of today's review with this Chobani flip Key Lime Crumble Greek Yogurt. She raved about how good it was, so with that kind of recommendation, I knew I had to try it out. On a trip to Kroger soon after that, I saw Chobani products on sale for $1.00, so I went ahead and grabbed one to try. This comes in a 5.3 ounces container and is 180 calories with eleven grams of protein.

Review: Haagen-Dazs Peanut Butter Pie Ice Cream
I must have lived a sheltered childhood because up until about five years ago, I had never heard of Peanut Butter Pie in my life, which is strange. It's strange because as this blog has shown, I am all about EVERYTHING regarding peanut butter. When I found out about Peanut Butter Pie though, it was almost as if I had been opened up into a whole new and wonderful world. I ended trying some, making some and basically becoming addicted to them. When I learned via several blog reviews that there was a limited edition Haagen-Dazs Peanut Butter Pie Ice Cream, I knew I had to get my hands on a container once I saw it in the store. Luckily, my local Marsh started carrying it, so on my way home from the gym one day (hilarious that I'd pick this up after that and you'll see why), I picked up a fourteen ounce container of this in a buy two, get one free sale for $4.25 to add to this week's growing list of reviews. Each container is the usual 3.5 half-cup servings and what makes the fact that I bought this after the gym amusing is that each of those servings is a very gym-negating 310 calories.

Review: Hunt's Snack Pack Bakery Shop Lemon Meringue Pie Pudding
These Bakery Shop pudding cups are a funny premise. To me, it seems like they are just putting lipstick on a pig. What I mean by that is that they are taking their basic products and then just putting a pretty name on them to make them seem different. In prior reviews, it just seems like they are mixing two different kinds of pudding and then calling it an exotic name and that's the whole premise of the pudding cup. That's been fine in some cases since it has been tasty, but it is an interesting way of re-purposing existing products...basically it's the Taco Bell approach. With that, it's time to review another one of these Bakery Shop pudding cups with this review of the Hunt's Snack Pack Bakery Shop Lemon Meringue Pie Pudding that I picked up at Meijer in a four pack for $1.00. It's 3.5 ounces and 120 calories per pudding cup.

Review: Turkey Hill Coconut Cream Pie Ice Cream
Personally, I'm a fan of Turkey Hill ice creams. I've reviewed several of them on the blog and while there have been some flavor misses, I would say that for the most part, I find most of their flavors to be excellent. After having seen several review of this Turkey Hill Coconut Cream Pie Ice Cream on various blogs across the web, I knew I finally had to bite the bullet and do a review of my own for this blog. This is a seasonal flavor, so I don't know much longer it'll be in the store, but it was in my local Kroger and I picked up a 1.5 quarter container of it on sale for $3.50. Each container has roughly twelve servings measuring at about a half cup each and each serving has 160 calories.

Review: Blue Bell Southern Peach Cobbler Ice Cream
You know what irritates me? When manufacturers, especially ice cream manufacturers, don't put product descriptions on the outside of their containers to describe what is inside the container. Obviously in some flavor instances it's not necessary (vanilla, chocolate, etc.) but when you come up with something like this Blue Bell Southern Peach Cobbler Ice Cream, you'd expect some sort of description (turns out that it is on the half gallon size, just not the pint size). I obviously know what peach cobbler is, but what I'd like to know is what Blue Bell's interpretation of peach cobbler is so that I know what I'm diving into before I actually taste it. So, when I was flying blind heading into this review with not knowing that general info, I was kind of perturbed but since it is my beloved ice cream, I was able to get over it quickly with yet another Blue Bell review. By the way, I picked up this pint on sale at Meijer for $1.67 and it's sixteen ounces (DUH!) and contains four half cup servings with each serving coming in at 160 calories.

Review: Larabar Cherry Pie Food Bar
I've had pretty miserable luck with Larabars here on the blog. I've always found the names to be extremely appealing, but the delivery of the taste to be extremely disappointing. Despite this, I continue to produce these Larabar reviews for your enjoyment. Actually, I bought something like ten of them at one time and don't want to be wasteful by throwing them away, so I just review them because I hate wasting things by throwing them out. Anyway, I picked this Cherry Pie bar one up at Mejier for around a dollar and it comes in at 1.7 ounces with 200 calories and five grams of protein. As with all Larabars, it's all natural and made with very few ingredients. In this case, the only ingredients are dates, unsweetened cherries and almonds.

Review: Larabar Pecan Pie Food Bar
In my book, Larabar is one of the better companies out there when it comes to dreaming up flavors that sound sinful and/or want to make me eat my hand. I've already done some Larabar reviews here of flavors that wanted to make me eat my hand at that time and this Pecan Pie flavor is no different. When Thanksgiving and the holidays come, pumpkin flavored products (oddly, not pumpkin pie itself) and pecan pie are the two things I look most forward to. Since I'm a jerk, my family falls in behind those. I picked this one up at Kroger for $1.00 and it clocks in at a smallish 1.6 ounces with 220 calories and only three grams of protein.

Review: CLIF Spiced Pumpkin Pie Energy Bar
It's nearly Thanksgiving and in honor of that, it's time for a review of a Thanksgiving themed treat. As I've mentioned here before, CLIF Bar releases specialty seasonal holiday flavors of their original energy bars every year. I've already covered the Peppermint Stick bar here at the blog already, so now it's time for their other special holiday offering, the Spiced Pumpkin Pie bar. This one weighs in at the standard CLIF bar weight of 2.4 ounces contains 240 calories with nine grams of protein. I picked this one up at Kroger on sale for a virtual giveaway price of $0.50.
