Review: The GFB Gluten Free Bar Cranberry Toasted Almond Bar

Last time I looked at one of these Gluten Free Bars, I picked it up on clearance at Meijer so I figured it was a one-time only review since they wouldn't be carrying them anymore.  Well, I was wrong.  Not only are they still carrying them, but they've also added more flavors and seeing that, I picked up a couple for reviews.  Today's review if the first of that purchase as I take a look at this The GFB Gluten Free Bar Cranberry Toasted Almond Bar that I was able to grab for $1.49.  It's 2.05 ounces and comes in with 225 calories and twelve grams of protein.  It's gluten free (DUH, or as the wrapper says OBVIOUSLY) and also soy free, dairy free AND vegan.

Review: Chobani flip Vanilla Golden Crunch Greek Yogurt

Chobani has had its line of flip products out for quite some time and I've touched on many of these in previous reviews here on the blog.  I was in Walmart recently and I saw a flavor that is either Walmart exclusive and/or a flavor that I've never seen before, so despite the fact that it was kind of a basic type of flavor, I knew I had to grab this single serving container of Chobani flip Vanilla Golden Crunch Greek Yogurt up for a review.  This one set me back a whole $1.00 and each container is 5.3 ounces and when combined has 150 calories and twelve grams of all natural Greek yogurt goodness.

Review: Dannon Light & Fit Greek Blends Toasted Coconut Vanilla Greek Yogurt

I had mentioned in my last Light & Fit review that these "Blends" line of products had kind of snuck up on me in the store.  Since I had never seen them before and obviously had never tried them because of that, I grabbed several flavors and that binge purchase leads me to today's review of this Dannon Light & Fit Greek Blends Toasted Coconut Greek Yogurt that I also picked up for $1.00 at Walmart.  Each single serving cup is 5.3 ounces and has a modest 80 calories of protein packed (12 grams) Greek yogurt.

Review: Private Selection Coconut Caramel Flan Ice Cream

Private Selection and my proclivity toward binge purchasing continues with another Kroger-related review with one of the more interesting flavors that I picked up in my binge in this pint of Private Selection Coconut Caramel Flan Ice Cream.  I've written far too much about how my love of coconut flavor has come to me late in life, but just in case there are first time readers here, I'll just go ahead and bring it up again.  Wait, I guess I just did.  Anyway, this pint was at the same $0.99 price as the others and it is four half-cup servings of ice cream with each serving clocking in at a fairly economical 200 calories.

Review: Green Giant Garden Ranch Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips

I mentioned in a previous Green Giant chip veggie chip review that it just seemed to me that Green Giant (General Mills) was directly taking a shot at Doritos under the auspice of being a "healthy" chip.  When I saw these new Green Giant Garden Ranch Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips in the store, I once again had the same thought.  If you take a second to think about it, these are basically a direct shot at the Cool Ranch flavor of Doritos.  That's fine as chip companies compete on flavors all the time, but I just find it funny that these are "healthy" while Doritos are junk.  In reality, the are all junk.  Anyway, I got this bag on sale for $2.49 at Kroger and it is 5.0 ounces and contains five servings of about ten chips each.  Each of those ten chip servings are 130 calories as well.

Review: Zone Perfect Perfectly Simple Toasted Coconut Nutrition Bar

One of the funny things about writing reviews for this blog is that often after I post a review, I hear from the company that was the source of the review with them offering to send me free products, information, etc.  Whether they are just being nice or attempting to buy me off is open to interpretation, but that's a discussion for another day.  It's after a previous review of Zone Perfect's Perfectly Simple products that Zone Perfect contacted me and offered to send me a couple of free samples in that product line to try out, so that leads me to this review of the Zone Perfect Perfectly Simple Toasted Coconut Nutrition Bar.  This one comes in at 1.58 ounces and has 200 calories with ten grams of protein.  It has only eight ingredients, thus the focus on simplicity in the name of the product line.

Review: Dannon Light & Fit Toasted Coconut Vanilla Yogurt

Time for another review of Dannon's Light & Fit yogurt product line.  I've previously reviewed the giant 32 ounce containers as well as doing a couple of reviews on the smaller six ounce single serving containers as well.  As you can tell by the picture above, this is another single serve container review and this time, I'm focusing on the Toasted Coconut Vanilla flavor.  I picked up a four pack (they call it a Super Saver pack) of these single serving cups at Meijer on sale for $1.99 and each cup is 80 calories and zero fat.  After going most of my life genuinely not liking coconut, I've recently developed a serious love of it, so I was definitely anxious to dig into this.
