Review: Blue Isle Mediterranean Strawberry Yogurt Spread

Today is once again me plowing through another Blue Isle review as I was given several samples to try out.  So far, I've been struck by the absolutely utility of these as they can be used as spreads, dips, etc.  Today's review is no different as this 8.0 ounce container of Blue Isle Mediterranean Strawberry Yogurt Spread can be used for many purposes as well.  Something I found interesting about this was that at the time of this review writing, the Blue Isle website lists this as its newest flavor.  Seems odd that a company would take so long to create a product based on one of the most common fruits.  Anyway, this container has eight two tablespoon-sized servings and each serving is 60 calories with one gram of protein each.  As with yogurt in general, this spread is also high in probiotics.

Review: Blue Isle Mediterranean Spicy Vegetable Yogurt Spread

I mentioned in a previous review that representatives of Blue Isle sent me some samples of their flavors to try out.  Today's review is another one of those samples.  Like all of their products, Blue Isle proclaims that these can be used in smoothies, dips, spreads, mayo replacements, etc., so that's how I'm going to think of this 8.0 ounce container of  Blue Isle Mediterranean Spicy Vegetable Yogurt Spread.  There's eight servings in each container and each serving is two tablespoons that will measure out to 70 calories per serving.  The advertise the probiotic qualities of this front and center on the lid, so I guess I should point that out too.  Hooray for probiotics!

Review: Blue Isle Mediterranean Blueberry Yogurt Spread

The free sample gravy train has been running pretty hard for me over the past couple of months and for me (and possibly the readers), that is a good thing.  It gives me a variety of different things to eat and also review.  Today's review is another product off of that free sample gravy train as I'm looking at this container of Blue Isle Mediterranean Blueberry Yogurt Spread.  Now, everyone is familiar with flavored cream cheese (well, almost everyone), so this is a spin on that with the spread being made from yogurt as opposed to cream cheese.  What's also unique about this is that Blue Isle advertises this as being able to be used in spreads, dips, smoothies (?!), replacements in recipes for mayo, etc.  It's a very versatile product.  A container of this is 8.0 ounces and within that container are eight servings, each measuring out to about two tablespoons.  Each serving packs in 60 calories and a gram of protein.

Review: Chobani Concord Grape Greek Yogurt

I've done a lot of Chobani reviews in the past and some of them have focused on limited batches.  Most of those limited batches disappear fairly quickly because they truly are limited.  The source of today's review must not have been too limited because I've seen it on the shelves of my local grocery stores for quite some time.  Since it had been there for a while and I figured it could be at least somewhat still timely, I grabbed a container of this Chobani Concord Grape Greek Yogurt via a free coupon at my local Marsh.  It would typically retail in the $1.25 range.  This 5.3 ounce cup packs 140 calories and twelve grams of protein, so it's not a true belly buster, which is nice.  I love snacking on grapes too, so I was quite curious about this one going into the review.

Review: La Chocolãt Strawberry with Dark Chocolate Chips Lowfat Yogurt

In my first La Chocolãt review, I mentioned that I was intrigued by the newness of the product but in the end, it kind of fell flat in terms of taste.  It was with that introduction to La Chocolãt that I dove into this second review with expectations that were fairly low due to my first experience.  Like last time, I picked this up at Kroger for $0.99 and each cup of La Chocolãt Strawberry with Dark Chocolate Chips Lowfat Yogurt comes in at 6.0 ounces.  That cup full of yogurt is then packed with 190 calories and seven grams of low fat protein.  It's also gluten free, kosher and loaded with probiotics.

Review: La Chocolãt Mint with Dark Chocolate Chips Lowfat Yogurt

Not to get all philosophical and deep here, but sometimes I walk through the supermarket and am just amazed by the product selection and the thought/effort that goes into getting so many products into a store.  Granted, distributors make it easier by selling things in bulk and coordinating a fair portion of the logistics, but it is still amazing.  I mention this because upon a recent perusal of one of my many local Kroger stores, I noticed yet another new (to me) product that had made its way to the refrigerator section with this cup of La Chocolãt Mint with Dark Chocolate Chips Lowfat Yogurt.  This 6.0 ounce cup was on sale for $0.99 and it packed in 200 calories and seven grams of protein.  It also had 1% milkfat, so I guess that just shows that there's going to be a bit of fat in this one.  On another note, it's also kosher and gluten free if you are interested in those types of things.

Review: Good Greens Apple Crumb Soy Greek Yogurt Bar

It's been quite a while since I looked at a Good Greens product (over two years), but I had noticed recently that my local Marsh Supermarket had started carrying their bars.  I hadn't made any purchases because I thought I had tried all the flavors, but upon further review recently, I noticed that there were a couple that I hadn't tested out yet and that leads to today's review of this Good Greens Apple Crumb Soy Greek Yogurt Bar.  I was able to grab this one for $2.49 and it comes in at 1.76 ounces with 190 calories and ten grams of protein.  It's also dubbed as a "Wellness Bar" on the wrapper and I think that's a first for me.  As always with these Good Greens bars, it's powered by their Z52 Superfood Powder and I'll spare telling the long story of that that is again.  You can check out the website or my prior reviews if interested.  Anyway, the bar is also all natural, gluten free and vegan, so that's fun (or healthy) I suppose.

Review: Lifeway Lowfat Kefir Probiotic Raspberry Yogurt Smoothie

These yogurt smoothies crack me up.  If I wanted a smoothie, which I seldom do, I'd get a smoothie.  If I wanted yogurt, which I often do, I'd get some yogurt.  Rarely, if ever, do I want both but in case I do, these yogurt smoothies exist for my enjoyment and that leads me to another Lifeway product review with this review of the Lifeway Lowfat Kefir Probiotic Raspberry Yogurt Smoothie.  I picked this one up at Kroger for $1.25 and it's eight ounces of fun with 140 calories and eleven grams of protein.

Review: Lifeway Lowfat Kefir Probiotic Blueberry Yogurt Smoothie

In my continuing effort to expand my horizons and also to vary the content on this blog to something other than ice cream, Greek yogurt and nutrition bars, I've been trying to pick up a wider variety of products and that includes yogurt smoothies.  That attempt at expansion of my horizons leads me to this review of a Lifeway Lowfat Kefir Probiotic Blueberry Yogurt Smoothie that I picked up at Kroger for $1.25.  This smoothie measures eight fluid ounces and has 140 calories with eleven grams of protein.  It also is gluten free, kosher, probiotic and has ten active milk cultures, which Lifeway calls that mix their proprietary "ProBoost."
