So disappointed Snackwell...I agree with everyone.. So disappointed Snackwell cereal bars formerly South Beach Breakfast bars are not available anymore. Kraft/ Nabisco just doesn't get it!! This cereal bar had a following of consumers that bought it and the company continually rebrands, and changes it to only further confuse! Now they have put an entirely different product on the shelves. The South Beach Protein fit however the carb content is higher and there is no sugar alcohol which reduces the carb content. It has 18G of carbs as opposed to the old Snack- Well bars and South Beach Breakfast bars that both had 17G, but if you minus the fiber Grams and sugar alcohol grams it equals 11G of carbs. The new SOuth Beach fit product has 18Grams of carbs, 3grams of fiber which then equals 15 total carbs. Please Nabisco/Kraft bring the old recipe back and keep it on the grocery shelves. There are still many in the world that are on low carb diets and the old product is helpful.. Sugar alcohol used in products is not as bad as the media has suggested. Everyone is baffled by your decisions including the Nabisco reps I have met in many of the grocery stores (Publix, Winn Dixie, Stop and Shop and Market Basket).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3023687518794853795.post-49945792965709500262013-03-08T22:33:38.489-05:002013-03-08T22:33:38.489-05:00Yup! I'm thinking of making my own version based on a recipe from a book called Raw Energy by Stephanie Tourles. People in ot...Kraft has discontinued these again!! People in other forums are begging them to bring them back. I have been eating one of these for breakfast every morning for years as South Beach and later Snackwell's. I can't find any in Tucson, Az. now. Very disappointed in Kraft!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3023687518794853795.post-37039476020908244482013-02-27T13:59:21.936-05:002013-02-27T13:59:21.936-05:00I can't find them in Annapolis, Md
Shopper'...I can't find them in Annapolis, Md
Shopper's, Giant, Safeway do not have them any more
I am on this site to find out where you can get them
amazon will notify me if they get them in.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3023687518794853795.post-57229349475400790522013-01-29T09:36:05.120-05:002013-01-29T09:36:05.120-05:00These bars were previously the South Beach Protein...These bars were previously the South Beach Protein Fit Peanut Bars that were rebranded as Snackwells in the fall of 2011 along with the Cinnamon Raisin and Chocolate bars. Kraft owns both the Snackwells and SouthBeach brands. In my opinion, this is the best Peanut Butter bar on the market. Good protein, low fat, moderate carbs, and Outstanding flavor.

Update!!! January 2013, I have noticed that the SnackWells bars are gone from Publix, Walmart, and Kroger in Georgia. This is reminiscent of the disappearance in 2011 of the SouthBeach bars. Could be a result of Kraft spliting its snack foods into a company named "Mondelez", See Nancy Friedman's article on Big Companies, Bad Names. I guess the Snackwells bars will become Mondelez bars now???

On an unrelated note, Irene Rosenfeld is way in over her head. You can only last a little while doing whatever Warren Buffet says six months to a year after he says it. I think Frito-Lay was ecstatic to see her go. Otherwise, would we have had Taco Bell with Dorito Loco tacos? I think NOT!
Back to the point!
In 2012, SouthBeach launched another set of bars, with an additional gram of Protein 9g vs 8g. However, they are more dense, smaller in size, and lack the good flavor of the previous version. There is the addition of an oily after taste that I am not well-versed enough to know what that is, other than not good.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
