Review: That's it. Apple + Cherries Bar

I can't wait for the day that I get to say that's it to reviewing these That's It bars that I've been plowing through.  Actually, I'm just joking.  All of these have come as free samples and I'm always grateful for the opportunity to review products.  I will admit that it does sometimes get a bit tiring reviewing derivatives of the same product over and over again because I just lose that product variety and as we all should know, variety is the spice of life...or something.  Anyway, this That's it. Apple + Cherries Bar clocks in at 1.2 ounces with 100 calories and one gram of protein.  Being that it only has two ingredients, it is obviously all natural.  Also, it's gluten free, kosher, raw and vegan, so hooray for that.

If I had to rank my favorite fruits (which I'd never do, by the way), I'd have to put apples and cherries at or near the top of the list.  I've got a lifelong love affair with both, so blending the two into the same product immediately becomes intriguing to me.  That's what That's It. did here as they blasted one apple and ten cherries into smithereens and mashed them all together in this very darkly colored  and soft bar.  The bar smelled simultaneously of apples and cherries, so everything was represented as I'd expect.

When I mentally think about ten cherries stacked next to one apple, it seems like they'd be about roughly the same size to me.  So, it came as no surprise to me that the flavor of each of these ingredients came through in this bar equally.  It was tart at the beginning from the apple and then sweet at the end from the cherries.  Neither was overly powerful, but each was quite appealing and represented itself well, which was nice.  The ground up chunks of each spread throughout the bar also added some chewiness to this soft and pliable bar.

Buy It or Fly By It?  All in all, there was nothing special here, but it delivered exactly like I would have wanted it to in that had both noticeable apple and cherry flavor.  For that, it gets a BUY IT rating.  A pleasing little snack, this one is worth grabbing if you enjoy either of the two ingredients even a little bit.
