Review: Yoplait Plenti Blueberry Plentiful Greek Yogurt

I mentioned in my last Yoplait Plenti review that these cups of Greek yogurt seemed like they were something that had been out forever and that's why I had steered away from reviewing them, figuring that I already had.  As I mentioned, it turns out that they were new-ish and I was just dreaming that they had been reviewed before.  So, since I've neglected them in the past, I figured it was time to plow through with another review as I grabbed this Yoplait Plenti Blueberry Plentiful Greek Yogurt off the shelves of Kroger for $1.00.  It's 5.3 ounces and is packed with 140 calories and twelve grams of protein.

To cheesily play on the name, I was greeted by "plenti" of ingredients once I took the cover off of this.  There were large blueberry chunks everywhere, clumps of oats and also a pretty fair amount of pumpkin seeds.  I'm sure there was flax in there too, but since I'm pretty sure I have no idea what flax looks like, I'm not sure.  Plus, I didn't want to do that much investigating to find out because I was hungry and wanted to devour this as quickly as I could.  A couple other notes are that this was watery than I would have expected and that it did have a nice blueberry smell to go along with it, which was quite nice.

Despite the fact that the appearance of this was watery, it had that dry-type of mouthfeel that Greek yogurts often have.  That's not a negative in any way, it's just an observation.  As for the blueberry flavor, it was mild but that was amplified when I came across the chunks of blueberry spread throughout the cup that brought some additional punch with tartness and sweetness.  In addition to that, there was some mild saltiness coming from the pumpkin seeds, which also brought some crunch and a bit of graininess to break up the texture.  Also breaking up the texture, but not bringing any of the flavor, were the soft clumps of oats that were spread throughout.

Buy It or Fly By It?  Honestly, had this been just a plain blueberry yogurt, it would have been kind of boring.  The add-ins made this interesting to me and because of those, I'll give this a BUY IT rating.  It's a safe flavor that is made a bit more fun, so if you see it on the shelves and are looking for something a bit different, yet also still safe, this is a good option.

BUY IT!!
