Review: OhYeah! Peanut Butter & Caramel Bar

I can honestly say that my last OhYeah! experience made me say OH YEAH it was absolutely delicious.  It was with those high expectations that I once again dove into one of these products with today's review of this OhYeah! Peanut Butter & Caramel Bar that I picked up at Meijer for $1.25.  Like the last bar, this one comes in at a size of 1.59 ounces.  Nutritionally, it has 190 calories and fifteen grams of protein.  It's also gluten free, so that helps all the celiacs out there, which is especially important to me now that I've found that I'm three times more likely to develop celiac disease than the general population via a genetics test.  Interesting stuff.  Humorously, the wrapper of this bar claims this is a "Good Grab" because it is the "Right Size" and "Right Choice."  I'll just have to see about that...

As with the last bar, the first thing that I couldn't help but notice was the sheer amount and size of peanuts on the exterior of this bar.  It was both impressive and awesome at the same time.  I'm a peanut guy, so that always excites me...as does the presence of the entire bar being encased in strong smelling peanut butter coating.  Inside that peanut butter coating and layer of peanuts is a gelatinous interior similar to a Tootsie Roll.  It is flexible and smelled faintly of chocolate and caramel.

Biting into this, I was immediately met by crunch, which should come as no surprise since there were tons of large peanuts in the bar.  Being the crunchy and peanut junkie that I am, I absolutely loved that.  As for the peanut butter coating, it was almost decadent in the fact that it was sweet and coated the peanuts.  The only thing it didn't have was a degree of richness and thickness to it, but I was fine with that because it may have been too much.  The final component of the bar was the interior "roll" portion was indeed chewy like I would have expected, but it had very minimal flavor and that flavor was just a slight hint of caramel that wasn't particularly noticeable since the peanut/peanut butter flavor was basically what this bar was all about.

Buy It or Fly By It?  In a roundabout way, this bar reminded me so much of a PayDay candy bar and being that PayDay is my FAVORITE candy bar, this OhYeah! bar is obviously right up my alley.  Right up my alley and borderline addictive gets this a resounding BUY IT rating.  If you see this in the store and grab it, I think you could potentially develop an addiction too because this is so good (a good grab) and it'll make you say OH YEAH too.
