I mentioned in my first HannahMax review that they sent me a box full of free product to try out and review here on the blog and that box of free products leads me to today's review of this bag of HannahMax All Natural Sea Salted Peanut Butter Crunchy Cookie Chips. This bag itself was 6.0 ounces and each bag has six servings (about five cookies) and each serving is 130 calories of all natural goodness.
As you can see from the photo above, these cookies are pretty much just thin and light versions of a classic peanut butter cookie in terms of both sight and smell, with one key difference: there are bits of peanut spread throughout the cookie that makes for an interesting disparity between the classic cookie and these. I'm sure there's sea salt in the cookie mix itself, but it wasn't noticeable to the naked eye. That's about all there is too these, so let's just move on.
These cookies lack any real sexiness in how they look and outside of the crunch provided by the little bits of peanuts spread throughout, there's not a lot of sexiness in the flavor either. Also, had I not seen sea salt on the packaging, I may have not even known there was sea salt in these because that salty flavor was not even noticeable. It was just a hearty peanut butter flavor that provided for a slightly dry cookie (again, just like the actual cookie itself). Outside of tasting like a peanut butter cookie and being almost entirely devoid of any salt flavor (maybe that's what made it dry?), I can't think of anything else to say about this.
Buy It or Fly By It? I guess this really comes down to whether you like peanut butter cookies or not because that's all this is. I like peanut butter cookies, so I'd give this a BUY IT rating solely because of that and the little peanuts made just enough of a difference in how these chewed for me to enjoy them. That said, this is not a memorable enough flavor to provide anything more than a peanut butter cookie fix though, so if you are not looking for that specifically, there might be better options out there.
