As I continue to plow my way through free products with another HannahMax review, I'm lead to another review out of their so far pleasant all natural baked cookie chips line with this review of the HannahMax All Natural Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Crunchy Cookie Chips. As with the others, this is a 6.0 ounce bag and each bag contains six servings of about five cookies per serving. Each of those servings clocks in at 120 calories, by the way.
As you can see above these typically thin and light cookies are made of a basic batter of dark chocolate and if you read the product website, it's a European dark chocolate, so that's fancy I guess. Within that European dark chocolate batter is a smattering of small chocolate chips, so I guess that adds to the fun factor and also puts some extra chocolate in there as well and in my book, extra chocolate is never a bad thing. If death by chocolate is a real thing, well that's how I want to die. Anyway, my morbid thoughts aside, the real question is about how these tasted.
So I guess I should start by saying that this wasn't death by chocolate, but it was indeed a heck of a lot of chocolate. The positive thing, at least for me, was that the dark chocolate flavored cookie did not really have a foul taste of dark chocolate at all. It was just a crunchy cookie that tasted like chocolate. Not sweet chocolate by any means, but just plain and basic chocolate and I was more than fine with that. The chocolate chips added a bit of crunch, meltiness and also some sweetness to what was a bland dark chocolate cookie chip mix and I very much appreciated that.
Buy It or Fly By It? Being that I was looking for a death by chocolate fix, this while not filling that fix entirely, provided enough chocolate flavoring to make it dangerous and that means it gets a BUY IT rating. If you are looking for a chocolate cookie fix, I think this would be a good option to help you fill that need.
