Review: JELL-O Sugar Free Mousse Temptations Chocolate Indulgence

And here we are for another JELL-O Sugar Free Mousse Temptations review!  This one is for the Chocolate Indulgence flavor that contains sixty calories per four ounce cup and comes in packages of six, just like the others.  Also like the others, I picked this one up at Meijer on sale for $2.50.


The funny part about these Mousse Temptations products is that you can basically say that if you've seen one, you've basically seem them all.  In all the reviews that I've done so far, the texture (airy, light, almost sponge-like) has been the same.  The only thing that changes with each of these is the color of the mousse.  IN the Caramel Creme review, the mousse was almost a white color.  In the Dark Chocolate Decadence review, the color was dark brown (DUH!  Dark Chocolate).  Since this one is more of a regular chocolate, or at least that is the intention, this one is kind of a lighter brown like you'd find in your regular chocolate offerings that you see every day of the week.

Texture issues aside, I can honestly say that this one tasted pretty good.  The chocolate taste was, for lacking a better word to describe it, very "bright".  What I mean by that was that the chocolate wasn't sweet, but you could definitely tell it had a nice chocolate taste.  I would almost say it was like milk chocolate or comparable to a Hershey's chocolate bar.  Being that it was mousse, it lacked what I would call the heaviness of the chocolate in a Hershey's bar, but the taste was very comparable.  Since I prefer milk chocolate over dark chocolate every day of the week and twice on Sunday, I certainly appreciated that.

Buy It or Fly By It?  I would say to go ahead and indulge (Like how I used a play on the name there?  I'm so witty.) this one in the BUY IT category.  While the chocolate taste is not overwhelming and fantastic, it's still quite good.  I would compare eating this to a situtation where you are hanging out with an old, great friend that you've known all your life and that's almost always a comforting thing.
